Here is who we will be playing: HOME: GB, DET, MIN, ARZ, SF, BAL, CIN, NYG AWAY: GB, DET, MIN, CLE, PIT, LAR, SEA, TB Since we don't beat winning teams, we are already looking at 8-8 and that is only if we sweep MIN and DET (unlikely) and beat ARZ, SF, CIN, and NYG. If we split with MIN and DET, that is 6-10. Can we even beat ARZ, SF, CIN or NYG? 6 of the 8 road games against playoff teams. Wow. ARZ will be better next year. SF will be healthy. Burrow will be back for CIN. Saquon will be back for NYG. 5-7 wins seems to be the most likely amount for next year based off the last two years of games. Ouch. What do you think?

It looks like Kwesi is quietly going into tank mode. They shed Thielen, Kendricks, Peterson, Z. Smith, and Cook, but kept Cousins. They drafted Addison in the 1st, who will just replace Thielen's production, so there is no real gain there. They signed Murphy at CB and Davenport at Edge, but at most those are a push, if not a downgrade from Smith (sacks leader) and Peterson. With Cook gone, their RB room is Mattison, rookie Dwayne McBride, Ty Chandler, and Kene Nwangwu. That may be the worst RB room in the NFL. They've been horrible so far. - In the ATL/BAL game, the refs called Atlanta "Arizona" at least 4 times. - In the Bears game, I counted 4 missed holding calls FOR EACH TEAM. - In the GB/SD game, Nick Perry had a sack and got a 15 yard penalty for NOTHING afterwards. - In the BUF/WSH game, they called a punt that was downed at the 4 a touchback.

The Denver Broncos have cut T. J. Ward, Pro Bowl strong safety. I know we got Demps in FA and drafted Jackson but I have to believe we have more than enough room and cap space to bring in a 30 year old player to bolster a position we have needed strengthening since Mike Brown departed. I would prefer a pro bowl CB or a OLT that is a big upgrade over what we currently have starting. However, since the likelihood of finding either at this stage is slim to none, T. J. Ward looks mighty fine to me.

I know we already have a thread about QB's holding team workouts, but Cutler told Sean Jensen that individual workouts are about to start for the Bears. Also, Cutler tweeted "Headed back to Chicago." Here we go...

I used to hate Cowherd as he always seemed like a Bears hater, but for the last few years he has come around on the Bears and Cutler. This morning he was raving about the Bears and said they were his preseason pick for the NFC. He also likes Cutler and thinks that the incident with Tice was nonsense. This short video gives a good glimpse into how Kromer coaches the oline.
