I have to wonder where they'd be ranked if they'd won every game they should've/could've this year. Imagine where we'd be right now if we had a defense! http://pro32.ap.org/poll Not that rankings mean anything, I just wish we hadn't lost twice to the friggen Lyin's so we'd be #1 in the division, two games ahead of the Packers with some momentum.

Bears with a quick 3 and out, then Bengals go 70+ yards and score a (questionable) TD. I thought we stopped them on 4th, but it's preseason.

Bears favored by 10 on the road. The Bills defense is very good but their offense is arguably one of the worst in the league. They have scored 37 points in their last 5 games (averaging just over 7 per game) and are coming off a MNF loss to NE. In contrast, the Bears have scored less than 23 once (in a 16-14 win). Just based on averages, we should be winning this 24-10 in a game comparable to last week. It's all about taking away McCoy. Hopefully, our LB's neutralize him out of the backfield. Sunday weather looks like it is going be partly sunny and in the mid to high 40's. Winds will be around 10 mph. So weather should not be any worse than last week. …

Joe Flacco is the Broncos QB, they played on MNF, and lost to the Raiders. Derek Carr was not sacked, and Flacco was sacked 3 times by the Raiders defense. Carr also completed 84.6% of his passes. The defense should shred the Broncos O-Line. The guy I am most worried about is Sanders, as he is like Albert Wilson and Randall Cobb, very slippery working out of the slot. I am less worried about Vic Fangio knowing the offense and don't think this will be a very big factor. The Bears need a win here because the odds of making the playoffs after a 1-1 start vs an 0-2 start is huge. I don't even need to see a huge game from Trubisky, just play better, make bette…

First drive: 1. Howard Run, no gain, off tackle, a little misdirection 2. TE Screen to Burton for 8 yards (Burton looks good) 3. Howard Run for the first 1. Incomplete pass to Cohen on the outside 2. Missile to Burton for 19 yards, first down (Burton looks really good) 1. Pass to Shaheen, Shaheen comes up limping, looks like he rolled his right ankle, defensive penalty for lowering head, first down 1. Deep pass to White, thrown out of the end zone from the 45 by Trubisky, a lot of time, no one open 2. Awesome fake reverse to Howard for 15 yards, negated by Leno holding 2. Trey Burton with a nice out for 10 on 2nd and 20 3. Blitz, quick t…

Anyone got any feedback on our next opponent? I scanned their depth chart and it appears Jacquizz Rodgers is their starting RB splitting time with Charles Sims. Quite a bit less of threat than Atlanta ran at us. They do have a good QB and WRs in Evans and Desean Jackson on the outside plus OJ Howard at TE. I think Fangio needs to flip the script from last week where the focus was on shutting down the run and we should get after the QB. Maybe we'll see more of Bullard and RRH this week? Their defense has some good players but other than Gerald McCoy I don't see any big pass rush threats. That's a consistent complaint among their fans on the message boards too.…

This is a must win, beat the teams you are supposed to beat. Bradford is brutal and probably won't last a quarter. Johnson does not look the same since coming back from injury and Fitzgerald is the only receiving threat. I want to see a full game this time, with significant progress for the offense and Trubisky. After seeing Mayfield come in and play like he did, there are no more excuses for Trubisky, especially against this defense. I would like to see another step from Roquan and see the team close another game out. Bears 27-10

First score of the game on 2nd drive (a FG by Barth) , all Cohen so far who looks amazing. Glennon with all short passes, 4-5 for 10 yards and his incompletion was thrown right at a defender for a near interception. After two drives against Cards #1 offense, the defense has been solid forcing two punts. Some nice pressure from the front 7.

Just some quick notes as the plays happen: - Kwiatkoski has looked much better, had a sack and some nice tackles in first half. - Deon Bush with a 91-yard pick-6. - Ryan Nall looks like a wrecking ball. Had a huge 69-yard run in first half. - Chase Daniel still looks like garbage. - Eddy Pineiro just kicked a 58-yarder straight down the middle. Would've been good from 60.

Here we go, fresh off the bye week, looking to extend to a 4-game winning streak, something we haven't seen with this team since Lovie's last season. In Miami, hot weather, tropical storm coming through before the game (hopefully it doesn't linger). Miami has lost their last two games 65-24 (NE and CIN), so we should have some chances on both sides of the ball. Ironically, our last two games, we have outscored opponents 64-24. Their leading rusher is Frank Gore, in sort of a 2-headed monster setup with Drake. Neither are very effective. Leading receivers are Stills and Wilson. Tannehill has 5 INTs, has been sacked 11 times and has lost 3 fumbles. Mack should h…

This is the first game in a while that the Bears are not favored, go figure lol. I am surprised it is only by 4 points. Philly is an even more Jekyll and Hyde team than the Bears. In each of Philly's wins, they've scored over 30 points and in their 4 losses, they have allowed 24 or more. Their offense has scored 20 or more in 7 out of 8 games and their defense has allowed 20 or more pts 6 times. The Bears counter with 6 games allowing 17 or less and 3 games scoring 17 or more. The Eagles are coming home after 3 games on the road. They just had a big win in Buffalo after losses to the Vikings and Cowboys. They go into their bye after the Bears game, so I would …

I don't think we win this one, but I don't think we lose by 14. Trap game for Philly looking ahead to SEA. Mid 40's for game time temperature....Bear weather. Philly is #1 against the run, but that may be due to their early leads. Overall defenses are comparable in overall yards, but Philly has a bunch more INTs and PD's. Again, this may be due to their leads and teams needing to pass more against them. If our offense takes another step forward and our defense doesn't lay an egg, we will at least look competitive. It would be nice to see both sides of the ball play well in the same game. PHI 27-20

This is the perfect game for the Spiderman meme. Bears 32nd Passing Attack, Falcons 30th, Bears 1st Rushing Attack, Falcons 4th. On defense, both teams are near the bottom of the league in pts allowed (Bears 24.7 vs Falcons 25.0) and sacks. This is a Fields homecoming game, but also a Cordarrelle Patterson, Ryan Pace, Germain Ifedi, Abdullah Anderson, Nick Kwiatkoski Revenge Game. Falcons are 3-2 at home. The Falcons have lost their last two with their last game being a loss to PJ Walker and the Panthers by 10. They are somehow 4-6, but are not much better than the Bears, but are only 1GB for 1st place in their division. I feel like this will be very s…

We had early 16-6 lead, 16-9 at half (amazing right?), then got shutout in 2nd half and lost 22-16 with multiple possessions to tie/win the game near the end. In those possessions, Cutler got sacked, strip-sacked, and threw game ending INT. The defense played doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde all game long. One drive, look dominant and next drive, look completely lost. The offense looked good in the first half and looked like a high school team in the 2nd half. Sitton and Miller got hurt, and Floyd got hurt so bad he was carted off on a backboard with an apparent neck injury. So Floyd completes the Quad-fecta, and joins fellow 1st rounders (White, Fuller, and a …

Bears 8-3 at Giants 3-8 Based on DVOA, the Bears are 12th on offense and 1st on defense. The Giants have the 18th ranked offense and 28th ranked defense. The Giants got off to an awful 1-7 start but have played much better after their bye going 2-1. They just lost to the Eagles 25-22, after winning two straight against TB and SF. 10 of their games have been decided by a TD or less. The key is going to be stopping Barkley, who makes up most of their offense. He commonly is the leading rusher and receiver on the team. Manning is prone to sacks and INT's though, and I have a feeling that a fresh Bears defense is going to dominate. The big question for us is …
