How confident are you in the Bears roster going into the season, today? Knowing that Poles has overhauled almost the entire roster in 2 years has me feeling pretty good. I think he needs one more offseason to hit the sweet spot, but we are going to be a pesky team this year. Knowing how last season turned out, how many close games the Bears lost, the fact that 30% of the players on the 53-man from last year can't make an NFL roster this year, and that Poles has also upgraded half of the key contributors has me drinking a little of the Koolaid. I never realized how many players are free agents next year. My guess is that we'll see some mid season extensions to go against this years cap. That will leave additional money to make splashes, if needed. I'm not a cap guy, but it makes sense to my limited knowledge. Thoughts?

I'm thinking Bengals and Steelers. The Bengals grabbed multiple guys that have been talked about on this board. They could have 5 or 6 first day starters. I was just a little curious on Tucker as a coach, so I looked up some stats to have a closer peek. If Cutler had hit Hester on that wide open fly route. Instead of leading him and scoring a TD the ball was under thrown and batted down. It was a 3 point game at that point. Hitting a deep ball like that could have changed the game. Also i remeber the Bears running a TE screen, why did they not run some RB screens???

It seems like the rust is finally off. What a game he had. In 3 games, Smith leads the NFL in total tackles (T-36), has 0.5 sacks, 2 TFLs, 1 INT, and 2 Passes Defended. If he can keep up this pace and get a couple of FF's he will be looking at a big contract. He is on pace for over 200 total tackles.

So looking up some different stats, I was shocked to find out that there is only one QB in NFL history to open their career up with over 4,000 Passing Yards, +25 Passing TDs, less than 10 INTs, and 500 Rushing Yards before the age of 24. Caleb Williams. I think he has 5 more games before hitting 24. So every stat he gets will stack onto this own record. He should easily hit 5K and 30 TDs by then. Crazy.
