  1. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/...ain-in-seattle/ No Tim Ruskell first-round picks remain in Seattle Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on October 13, 2011, 11:03 AM EDT ReutersDrafting poorly is the quickest way to sink a franchise. There is little debate over whether Tim Ruskell drafted poorly while he was team president of the Seahawks. Only nine players remain from the 2005-2009 drafts when Ruskell was in charge. The best player among them? Probably Brandon Mebane. Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times notes that no first-round picks are left from the Ruskell years. Cornerback Kelly Jennings was traded for a roast beef sandwich before the season.…

  2. I IMHO think that they will be better than they were last year due to Martz leaving and players back from injury. They were doing well at the mid point of the season having a few games I think without giving up a sack. If the Bears use the shotgun more and the short three step drops then the Oline will not have try to hold their blocks long. http://www.prosportsdaily.com/nfl/bears/

  3. Started by adam,

I expect Poles to do some minor restructuring to give him some additional flexibility in his first year as GM. There are several contracts that he can modify without putting too much money into future years. There are some big ones, but I think only one or two will be considered. Mack, Quinn, Whitehair, and Edwards can all safely be restructured to gain around $10M to this year's cap without putting more than $4-5M on any future cap year, if they need to. Jackson is another candidate if they believe he is a long term answer at FS. The Bears are actually in decent cap shape, and will continually get better year over year as some of the albatross contracts drop o…

  4. Mac going to Jacksonville where he will back up Trevor. Fields at least worth more than this - how much more, I don’t know.

Seems like NT Mike Pennel has signed a one year deal. Given that Goldman was a no show, this is probably insurance and depth. But it definitely says that the Bears weren't thrilled with Goldman's absence, and need options. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/06/17/bears-agree-to-terms-with-mike-pennel-on-a-one-year-deal/

I want us to draft this guy anywhere on day 3. He can block he can run better than Kmet and he seems to have equally good hands. He does not have the movement skills of Loveland. I see him as a good fit for our TE2 a year down the road. The fact he was Loveland teammate should only help him acclimate to the team quicker. I’ll be using this thread to track my guys in this draft. Feel free to throw in yours.

In our last 4 games dating back to last year we are undefeated, 4-0. Are we getting spoiled? No turnovers for the Bears against Dallas was the key to victory.

From the Twitter Doctors, it looks like a season ending injury and potentially something that will impact next season. So the Bears will need a new LT on opening day next season. Just another need for a team with a ton of needs. Poles needs to go.

Does anyone have a ticket connection? I'm looking for 2 tickets to the Niners Bears game. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg and have hoped to get lucky on the individual game sale for San Fran but being the first game in the new stadium, obviously high demand. Am crossing my fingers someone somehow has a Niner connection (or a real good Bear connection) to get tickets at or near face.

He was one of 7 inactives and doesn't suit for game. http://espn.go.com/blog/seattle-seahawks/p...eattle-seahawks They didn't even want him in uniform in case his drops would spread to the other players, lol.

With my new career as an over the road truck driver I am wondering if someone wouldn't mind taping the games for me on DVD, this way I can break down the games during my down time in the truck. I am willing to pay. This new career has been great unfortunately it takes a bite out of things that I used to enjoy doing. Please email me at bowlingwestgary1980@yahoo.com

http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=6499 Bears run game struggled, but Forte finished with a flourish By: Larry Mayer | Last Updated: 1/20/2010 4:57 PM The following is the second of nine position reviews of the 2009 season. LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Bears ranked a disappointing 29th in the NFL in rushing in 2009. But their running backs did provide some bright spots to build on heading into next season. Matt Forte rushed for 929 yards and averaged 3.6 yards per carry, a decline in both categories after he gained 1,238 yards and averaged 3.9 yards per attempt during a breakout rookie season in 2008. After just two seasons,…
