Their mock: 1. A'Shawn Robinson, DT, Alabama 2. Shawn Oakman, DE, Baylor 3. Darian Thompson, S, Boise St 4. Tyler Johnstone, OT, Oregon 5. Kevin Hogan, QB, Stanford 6. Clay Debord, OT, Eastern Washington 6. Tajae Sharpe, WR, Massachusetts 6. Joe Schobert, ILB, Wisconsin 7. Jonathan Williams, RB, Arkansas I just don't understand any mock draft that ignores the ILB position for the Bears, but the DE/DE start is intriguing. My alternative according to their layout. 1. Deforest Buckner, DE, Oregon - BPA at a need position, and ILBs seem to have fallen in this draft 2. Landon Turner, OG, UNC - He's a beast. (Jaylon Smith falls to round 2?…

Aside from the obvious concern over who will be the number one signal caller,I am a bit concerned about the O-line. With my visit to TC yesterday I couldn't help but feel a little concerned about the fact that our pro bowl center and our number one draft pick OT were not in pads even though its early in TC.This not only hurts the lines cohesiveness but also strains the depth with guys taking additional reps in some extremely humid conditions with last night being an exception as the temp seemed to be pretty comfortable once the sun went down. With that being said there were only 5 OTs on the roster to begin TC and now one is down.2 are 9 and 10 year veterans respectively …

Assuming it all goes well, all the realistic breaks happen for the Bears, what's your dream draft? I'm basing mine off of the idea that the Bears: A-Will not trade down B-Have 7 picks and need 7-8 positions (DE,FS,CB,TE,WR,OT,QB,OLB) C-Myles Garrett will not make it to #3 1. Jonathan Allen, DE, Bama - He makes the front seven scary. His addition makes both McPhee and Goldman more dangerous, and frees up LBs to do damage. 2. Ryan Ramcyzk, OT, Wisconsin - The run on "exciting" players and QBs causes Ramcyzk to drop right into Chicago's lap. Perfect name for a Bear. 3. Obi Melifonwu, FS, UConn - It's hard to say if he goes in the 2nd or 3rd, but many …

The more mocks I do, the more I read about players, the more I see where some are available, the more I like this draft. There are very, very good players available in the 3rd and 4th rounds. With that said, what's your nightmare mock draft? The picks have to be in reasonable rounds (i.e. no kickers in the 1st), but after that all bets are off. Mine: 1 - Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama - I've said from nearly the beginning I wasn't super impressed by him. When I've seen him, he's good but never "the guy." This would be a reach for the hope of a shutdown corner. He should go late 1st round, not early. 2 - Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee - The Bears gamble …

Let's assume that Lovie keeps his staff intact and Angelo keeps the same blue print for offseason building ( drafts, FA's, Extending team players contracts). Last year i was suprised that Williams was our #1 pick ,but it was a definate a must. Angelo likes to pick up seasoned OL Vets ( early 30's) to fill in as stop gaps. I think we can agree on that Offensive line and WR's seems to be a must this year as well as FS and DL. I know we have certain amount of cap space allowed for Fa's and draft choices. But my question is what positions should be filled by FA's and what by draft picks and by whom? My Fav 1 round drafts are Taylor Mays, William Moore, Hey…

All this Glennon talk is disturbing. No way he's worth that kind of money. Cutler's better. Hoyer's better. I'd much rather save the money and build everywhere else. Sign Hoyer, pay him less, get the same production as Glennon, and use the surplus to fill holes.

Rick Morrissey April 20, 2008 I have been trying to come up with salient points the Bears might be making as they attempt to lower the numbers in contract-extension talks with Brian Urlacher, who, if he isn't Mr. Chicago, is near the top of the family tree. There is, of course, Urlacher's recent back and neck injuries and the fear his game might be slipping because of those health issues. There is his age, 30 next month, which, given the rigors of playing linebacker, works out to about 50 in normal human years. There is the fact they gave him a nine-year, $57 million contract in 2003 and what's the big idea about wanting more money? These are g…

With each passing day, I can't help but wonder what the hell is going on w/ Graham. Most recently, we read about Bowman going down in practice. After that happens, two things are seen/heard that stand out. One, McBride is called on to fill in for Graham. Two, when Lovie is asked about Bowman going down, he talks about how we have other players ready to step in, mentioning Moore and McBride, but no mention of Graham. I really do not understand what is going on here. We read early on that Graham is being moved to FS. I thought he looked solid at CB last year, but w/ Vasher looking healthy and FS being such a dire need, I said, Okay, and went along. …

Bears WR Markus Wheaton will be sidelined 4-6 weeks with a torn groin. The Bears' supposed No. 2 receiver has been racked with injury since the early days of camp. He has one catch in three games. The team could opt to cut its 2017 losses and place Wheaton on injured reserve instead of waiting for him to get healthy. Limited to six games the past two years, Wheaton isn't much of a hold in Dynasty leagues. Source: Adam Jahns on Twitter Oct 12 - 5:49 PM

For the keeper league, I got the email that we have moved the draft up to tomorrow "early afternoon". Can we set a time? I don't know if we are talking about noon or 3pm, or if we are going to do it earlier or later, or what. Family is wanting to do some stuff, and while they understand I have the draft, I would like to know when it is so I can plan around it.

oh, that's right. it ended 2 weeks ago. this entire game was just one stupid situation after the next. the entire team including the coaches looked like they just met for the first time before playing their first pre-season game tonight. someone asked in another post what we were going to do with our extra $15 mil? i'm for buying mike shannahan to start out as our offensive coordinator. then buy a freaking cornerback who can play bump and run defense, an offensive guard or two and if any is left over buy lovie a clue. hmmmm should i make a stupid situation worse than it is lovie? HELL YESS!!! throw a flag without even talking to the replay people in yo…

Seriously though...this one is obvious. A TE with that kind of talent has to be used against overmatched LBs constantly.

ok, i have made my opinions on keeping moore in past threads. i don't have the time or resources to go through a 3 year span of his games in chicago but if this is the argument that he quits on plays or is too expensive then someone needs to do the 'receivers' comparison to realistically back up your opinions or they are just a knee jerk reaction. 1. MONEY: this is nearly a mute point with me. good franchises find ways to keep their systems working under the cap every single year. added to this is on every good roster there is at least one high paid receiver. the other 'replacement' receivers are ALL on rookie contracts. our QB is still on his rookie contract. our …

So what will be the biggest buzz when training camp breaks and they come back to Chicago? Forte holding out? Cutler-Marshall duo looking great? Alson Jeffery becomes a starter? J. Webb loses starter job to C. Williams? Carimi move the the LT position? Im making the call, Forte a holdout.

Last year the Bears announced they were cutting ties with Darwin Walker, Fred Miller, and Mushin Muhammed on the same day. I'm pretty sure it was around then they announced they'd extended Alex Brown and were parting with Ruben Brown. I mainly remember this because I was home celebrating Barack Obama day, which allowed me to listen to the SCORE for 12 hours straight. With Barack Obama day coming up this Monday, I was wondering if we'll see a similar "big day" of announcements coming soon, and if so, who's on the chopping block? It seems that Vasher is safe. But what about Tait? Booker? Wale??? Will we officially cut ties with Lloyd, Mike Brown, Rex .…
