This will be the nationally televised disaster that gets Flus fired. That is my hope at least. I honestly thought we could not get a worse coach than Trestman, but the Bears have hit a new low with Eberflus. What an absolute joke and fraud of a coach. His limit is as a Defensive Coordinator. He is not a Head Coach. The first year was masked by the rebuild. The 2nd year was Fields. There was no excuse this year. It is the same result with a new way to lose week in and week out. He can't win a challenge, does not know how or when to use timeouts, and the team is always unprepared. Now with the defense failing, there is zero reason to keep him as the HC. If you are goi…

What a joke. That explains the hits on Cutler and Earl Bennett back in week 2 when they were blitzing all over. I can't believe how anyone on that staff could go along with trying to get their guys to send their opponents off in a cart and then pay them for it. Sean Peyton, I've lost all respect for you. I wonder what Goodell is going to do. You have to think there is going to be a loss of draft picks. A huge fine is not enough and won't get teams to stop doing this. I can't say that I'm surprised by this though. The Saints have been notoriously dirty ever since Greg Williams was their coordinator. They need to investigate Detroit now..

Who do you guys think will be gone this year (coaches/players): Coaching Staff: Everyone but Dave Toub/Rod Marinelli. Toub/Marinelli may go because of what happens but I think whomever the Bears bring in will consider keeping those two individuals. Players: Tommie Harris Adewale Ogunleye Brian Urlacher Jason McKie Orlando Pace Roberto Garza Craig Steltz Hunter Hillmeyer Mark Anderson Maybe: Kreutz Jamar Williams

The Bears will be good this year, not great. At QB, I see a solid competition between the two QB's bringing out the best in one of them. I still think it'll be Grossman but I could be wrong. Frankly, the reason I'm leaning Grossman at this time is because I think he let his success in 2006 get to him a bit in 2007. He was constantly thinking, the Bears are "dissing me" by not signing me up long term for a new big money deal. Like the New Years Eve Game, he took his eye off the prize, didn't show the required amount of pride in being his best at all times, and regressed. This isn't a defense of Grossman, I think that type of behavior is completely unacceptable. …

I truly believe this is the year to address OL in the draft which will go along way in keeping the Bears competitive now and into the future without over spending in FA. In fact former GM - Bill Polian said today on the Doug Gottlieb show (ESPN Radio) that he would have never spent the $$$ on OG like the Tampa Bucks did for Carl Nicks, simply could not justify that money to that position. Assuming a true LT is not available at 19, I would not be disappointed if we could DRAFT a LG and C that could come in and start from day one. Then in 2013 the Bears can move up in the 1st round if needed to get that stud LT if Williams and Webb can not hold down the fort this y…

www.rotoworld.com is the source Dolphins claimed OL Kirk Barton off waivers from the Bears. Third TE Sean Ryan will be waived later Thursday. Barton's skills are limited enough that he doesn't project as more than a swing-type reserve. Source: Chicago Sun Times Related: Bears Looks like we lost out on the Kirk Barton sweepstakes. He decided to take his chances on Miami's 53 man roster. Good luck Kirk, 2 years from nows when I see you on MNF as a starting RT i'll be a little po'd

Start with the injury report: http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2017/12/01/i...ek-13-vs-49ers/ Trevathan is back and no longer listed on the injury report. Also looks like RRH will return. I'm hopeful he'll see the field because I still think he has good long term potential. Josh Sitton looks like he'll be a game time decision but did practice on Thur. We'll get to see the return of Lamar Houston. I think we're fortunate to pick him up this late in the season. I'm not overstating his ability but this late in the season it's almost impossible to find someone who knows your defense and can at least contribute right away. The big mystery is who will play …

Kurt Warner should be high on Chicago Bears' shopping list Bears would be wise to show interest in 37-year-old potential Hall of Fame QB David Haugh | On the Bears January 6, 2009 An NFL general manager who establishes finding a quarterback as his team's top off-season priority, as Jerry Angelo has for the Bears, is like an astronaut who says he is ready to soar into space. Conceptually, there can be no limits to the possibilities, or what's the use? That thought left the deepest impression when considering how the Bears viewed the first round of the NFL playoffs, a weekend that included 37-year-old free-agent-to-be Kurt Warner taking the Arizona Cardi…

I know bagging on him became popular, but I thought this was a very good read. I also will caveat it by saying I always was a fan of Lovie so I am inherently biased but I felt that he was the time of guy you could be proud your organization had and there is something to be said about that and how he handled the lockeroom, etc. We sorely miss that sort of leadership qualities from the top. I don't think anyone in our front office, Emery or Trestman, have the types of intangible leadership top of the totum pole skills necessary to excel in their current positions. http://chicagosuntimes.com/sports/revered-...bears-listened/

I'm doing this to see just where everyone is at in terms how they view the Bears' WRs. I go back to the 60's and have actually saw Johnny Morris play but taking him out of the equation I'm hard pressed to find a guy who I could say is second to Morris. We have had tandems or individuals that have had great seasons but if you twist my arm here is where I would go with rankings after Morris: 1 Dennis McKinnon he was a smaller version of Hines Ward and would block just as good as he would catch the ball. 2. Dick Gordon he was one of the other players that came from the 1965 draft that netted Sayers and Butkus. His flamboyant lifestyle was his downfall but he did a…

So is it noteworthy that Coach Fox has openly commented on Clausen and both he and Pace committed to re-signing him before they would comment at all on keeping Cutler? I say perhaps. It's definitley worth speculations. http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/blogpos...amp;src=desktop

There are few decent options this upcoming offseason, but the Bears will have to figure out who they want to pay. At this point the Bears need to get younger. By replacing ARob they can improve and get younger at the same time. Here are a few names that could come in and be potential WR1s if the Bears look to FA for that. Another option is to go by WR1BC and taking a lesser option assuming Fields doesn't need a true #1. 1. Chris Godwin, TB will not be able to afford him, he is 3 yrs younger than ARob and would fit well with Fields style of play. 8th in Rec yards with only 8 games. 50-660-4 TD. 2. Mike Williams, LAC, has 37-575, 15.5 per reception and 6 TDs, 27 yrs…

Bears remain 'Plex-ible' at WR By Vaughn McClure | Tribune reporter May 18, 2009 Bears fan Tony Tudisco from Aurora put himself on the hot seat Sunday when he inquired how Jay Cutler would thrive "without any receivers to throw to." Bears general manager Jerry Angelo fired back. "Sounds like you're from Wisconsin," Angelo said sarcastically. The receiver question was sure to surface as spirited diehards gathered for the annual Bears Expo. But before the festivities began, Angelo discussed a possibility he previously had dismissed: Plaxico Burress. "As I said, we'll look at every option," Angelo said. "[His] situation is different because…

As always, thanks again Loyd Thomas for your brilliant cap insight. Oustanding. As per LT, cutting Darwin Walker saved us 6,350,000 (I double checked that and much to my surprise, my commas are in the correct spot.) Dumping Fred Miller netted another 3,404,560. Alas Moose only saved us 100,000 (My wife will no longer have to ask, "Why are they booing?") Before this, our free cap space was 22,490,133. Arch will eventually cut, rounding up (and being to lazy to use the calculator, that leaves us with approximately 32 million to spend. Wow. (Thanks again LT) So where do we spend our money?
