The Chicago Tribune is reporting that there is mutual interest between the Bears and RB Chris Brown. Brown had finished with 102 rushes for 462 yards and five touchdowns while playing behind LenDale White. He is currently visiting Houston. I am not really sure how I would feel about this if it went through. I am inclined to lean toward the draft for RB and would rather we use free agent money on an guard.

Between this year and last year, this period may be the most exhausting as a fan. There is random hints of promise only to be crashed back down to the depths of hell. The NE game last year feels like the WSH game this year. After that game, everyone figured that the Bears had righted the ship and things were going to continue to trend in a positive direction. I truly believe this is the year to address OL in the draft which will go along way in keeping the Bears competitive now and into the future without over spending in FA. In fact former GM - Bill Polian said today on the Doug Gottlieb show (ESPN Radio) that he would have never spent the $$$ on OG like the Tampa Bucks did for Carl Nicks, simply could not justify that money to that position. Obviously, we have some issues w/ both, but which side of the fence does the greater level lie? Offense I think everyone here would disagree w/ quite a few playcalls, and I would agree. On offense I hope we run the ball and use a lot of RPO with Mitch. I think Green Bay will use a 5 or 6 man front similar to the front they used to stop Derrick Henry. From a 2 TE, 2 WR and 1 HB I’m hoping we can run the ball effectively and when we pass Mitch’s options are small so he can get rid of the ball quickly On defense I’m hoping that Johnson and Skrine are available and if we can’t pressure Rogers with a 4 man front Pagano can use some exotic blitz’s possibly with Smith and Trevathan showing blitz and coming or dropping out of it.
