  1. There is a lot of gloom and doom suggested for this team this year. Here is why that changes this year. #1 They will be healthier this year. Last year the were the worst team in the league for injuries. They lost their starting QB early and as much as we put down Cutler, it would have had much better results with him at QB. #2 We have one of the best RBs in the league. If he had started from day one, he would have led the league in rushing. Do not sleep on 5.2 YPC. thats awesome. He has worked extremely hard this off season to get stronger and faster. The one thing that separates the studs from the average is work ethic. He has that. #3 Kyle wi…

With the of DCs there is some doubts of how it will affect our defense. Fangio was great but remember he was the DC under Fox and it didn't look as good because the horses were not in place. Pagano comes in with the team still ascending. As the offense gets better , it will benefit the D. More ball control and more points puts the D in a better position to be more aggressive which fits Pagano to a tee. He will blitz more than Fangio. Player positions: CBs- Fuller is in his prime and should remain there for a few more years. Prince should have one more solid year before he tapers off. Callahan may be back if not , we will add a new face or go with Tolliver mor…

  4. Vincent Jackson to only miss four games if traded Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on September 16, 2010 1:56 PM ET A potential trade of Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson just got easier. Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports that Jackson will only miss four games at the start of the 2010 season, should he get traded anytime soon. (Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune also has the news.) Jackson remains suspended three games by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Jackson was also set to miss an additional three games after he reported to a team because he was placed on the Chargers roster exempt list. But the NFL and NFLPA met Thur…

We've seen it day to day and year to year. The media is like the frog waiting to catch the next fly. It seems like no matter what channel you watch or starting you time into, the narrative is the same. They are irresponsibly reporting everything from politics to religion to racial matters every damn day. Why should it be so different when hearing about it Bears? The media, nation wide, has gone from "what the hell did the Bears do to Justin Fields? To, my God, I can't wait for the Caleb Williams era"! I watched ESPN , rolled my eyes and turned the channel. Watched GMFB and ditto. Our my headphones on to ride the stationary bike, ditto! I'm sick of it. That'…

  6. http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id...-bowl-questions The point is that with 1/3 of the selection process subject to ballot box stuffing, and the other 2/3 by players and coaches voting before the season is over having only faced and studied film on 11 teams (roughly 1/3 of the league), the system is extremely flawed. The top vote getting OT hasn't played in 2 months? That's proof that the system doesn't actually identify the best players and many get the honor based on reputation.

Establishing a few things about the NFL rules I have read this morning: 1) Control precedes Possession 2) Possession precedes a catch 3) A catch requires two feet or some other body part that is not the hands to contact the ground In the NFL and College rule books they have what are called Approved Rulings (AR). They explain what the correct call is in an odd situation where the rule is not perfectly clear. The following is the AR for the final play [A is the offense and B is the defense]: A.R. 8.29: First and 10 on A20. B3 controls a pass in the air at the A40 before A2, who then controls the ball before they land. As they land, A2 and B3 fall down to t…

If he was listed as probable and practiced all week, then he should have played. Maybe the comments from Drake earlier this week that he did not want to discuss Lloyd until he plays is a sign that he is in the doghouse. Peace

IMHO and i have said this ever since we have gotten Ron Turner that we lose because of the plays he call or doesn't call. Prime example we are in the RED ZONE three times and you never used OLSEN ..not one time on a mismatch. Better yet why not the 6'7 DAVIS. The run up the middle never got much so why not use the play action pass to Forte/McKie in the flat. Maybe the bootleg to Olsen instead of Clark.. During the game when the Packer were coming after Cutler...where was the dump off to Forte? And for those of you who say its Cutler and the defense that lost this game.....think about this. The Packers were deep in the red zone once and that was the int run back. Other than…

Im not gonna get into too much here, but the more i read the more i l ike. Hes an offensive guru and we have the tools to be great. A recieving RB, athletic TE and a gunsliingin' QB. Plus my take is next season he can become the head coach and Rivera can come back....

More and more, I think we are bound to draft heavy on defense, while attacking offense in FA. Look at our last two drafts. This past year, our top 3 picks were offense. The prior year, 2 of our top 3 picks were offense. Prior to these past two years, Angelo seemed to rotate between offense and defense each year. This year, I think Angelo will be going back to defense in the draft. W/ needs (at least in Angelo's eyes) at DE, DT, SLB, CB and S, I think it makes sense to Angelo to attack defense in the draft, especially as that is his strength. While there have been unquestioned misses in FA also, his better "hits" in FA have been offense (Tait, Reuben Brown,…

Last year I worked 3rd shift and only caught a hand full of games. I bs you not, we did not lose any game I watched last year! This year I work on sundays from 10 to 7:30, so the only game I've seen this year was against the Colts. Seems like the games I watch we win, but the games I miss we lose! God I wish I had some Vacation time, I'd take every sunday off!!! But oh well all I can say is this week, like week one is primetime and I WILL be watching, so chalk one up in the W column!!!

Today I am reading that we not only want to re-sign Rex, but that we are confident we will. What I do not understand is, why the hell would Rex want to come back? Even more questionable, why would Rex want to re-sign w/ us before FA begins. 1. Rex has been shredded by his own fans and media in Chicago. 2. The market this year for QBs is so bad, Rex would likely be the top of the heap. 3. We are not going to offer a long term deal, and thus Rex would be banking on having a great year then hitting FA hot, but, (a) While we all hope for better, we have not today improve the OL a bit, and have in fact created a pair of holes ( We have just sen…

    1. The Cardinals suck. 2. The Cardinals know they suck. 3. The Cardinals have one chip to bargain with: Larry Fitzgerald 4. The Cardinals need to rebuild more than one position 5. The Bears need a WR 6. Fitzgerald is one of the best WRs in the NFL 7. Fitzgerald fits almost exactly what the Bears lack 8. Fitzgerald is unequivocally better than the chances and risks taken with a first round pick So why not offer the Cardinals next year's first round pick for Larry Fitzgerald? Why wouldn't that work? Why would they not take the offer, or at least make a cheap counter-offer? Maybe a 1st and a 5th gets the deal done. If so, I say this happens in …

You cant fire Pace this year. Without a first round draft pick, you cannot entice a good GM to come here. We need to dig out of the Mack trade hole before someone else would hitch their star to this team, so Pace is almost certainly secure for one more year. And you cant really bring in a coach of any quality when your GM has one year left either. So Pace and Nagy stay, or Pace fires Nagy and promotes from within. Then, after next year, anything is possible. I'm so angry we are here. And there is a lot of blame to go around, but I think Nagy deserves the most, followed by Trubisky - and therefore Pace.

Just like some of the other position groups (O-Line and TE), I think we need a purge at this position. Keep ARob, but get rid of Gabriel and Miller via trade or just outright cut. Miller seems to have discipline issues, doesn't run the correct routes, is often out of position at the LOS, and seems to generally have a bad attitude. For a 2nd round pick that we traded up for, we should expect more. What is even worse about the Miller pick (and trade up), we could've selected DJ Chark or Michael Gallup, both were available at #51. I like Wims and would love to see some Ridley down the stretch to see what we got. Gabriel is better suited as a #3 than a #2, and is …
