So, watching Nagy talk, and then Lazor today, here's what I'm hearing. I'm hearing a staff that thinks they are heroically taking the blame to shield their players, while they think that their scheme would have worked and players just didnt make plays. But guys, you only kept back 5 guys to protect on most passing plays, didn't roll Fields out, didn't run screens or draws or any of the other regular Xs and Os things that work against a pass rush that's coming too strong. If your point is that if you had a Pro Bowler at every spot who could handle anything one on one that then you could dictate all kinds of fancy problems for the defense, so you just run THA…

If they fail to make the playoffs, the entire coaching staff should be dismissed. This Vikings game is huge. Peace

I have about 8-10 Jerseys (keeping Neal Anderson). Tons of bobbleheads, helmets, cards, shirts, McFarlane and other figures, tools, pens, 85 bears stuff (original and boxes). Once i get through puking tonight I will take some pictures. First $200 takes everything Lovie and Jerry, burn in your luxury midtown penthouses.

  8. Brad Biggs ‏@BradBiggs 2m2 minutes ago I'm told #Bears college scouting director Marty Barrett at Alabama pro day. WR Amari Cooper, S Landon Collins & RB TJ Yeldon top prospects.

http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...1,2728258.story Bears talk to free-agent tackle Anderson, but chances slim The Bears have had contact with free-agent Pro Bowl tackle Willie Anderson, but the chances of the veteran joining the Bears are slim to none, according to an NFL source. Anderson, 33, was released by the Cincinnati Bengals on cut down day. He became a backup to Stacy Andrews at right tackle and refused to take a pay cut. He had a streak of 116 consecutive games stopped last season due to chronic pain in his right foot and also battled knee problems. Anderson signed a fiive-year contract extension in 2005 reportedly worth $32 million…

Brad Biggs ‏@BradBiggs 24m Pending a physical #Bears expected to sign TE Leonard Pope. Another end zone threat to throw out there. Speculation the Eldridge is being cut for Pope. Trying to cover a 2 TE set with Marshall, Jeffery, M. Bennett and Pope would be awfully difficult in the red zone.

http://deadspin.com/the-nfl-can-force-thes...dium=socialflow Some of you old school guys probably won't like it, but I personally would love it. I don't have HBO at the moment but I'd definitely opt to get it if it means I got to watch the inner workings of the Bears. Maybe we can see why the Bears like Tucker so much lol.

Could disappoint in '09 Chicago Bears Why the pessimism? Believe it or not, the Bears had the third-worst pass defense in the league last year ... at least yardagewise (241.2 yards per game). They were fifth overall in stopping the run, which is a pretty wide gulf. Even with the arrival of Jay Cutler, I'm just not sure if the Bears offense is going to be significantly better this season since he doesn't have any reliable receivers to throw to. In other words, we could be in for more of the same. And oh, by the way ... Chicago only registered one special teams touchdown last season, which is certainly far less than we're accustomed to seeing from them. Worst-ca…

  14. Apparently, since the Bears practice at Olivet Nazarine University, if the Lockout starts leading to a delay in the start of the season/end of training camp, the Bears may be forced to either break camp early or else find a fully new camp location. The Fall semester starts August 27th.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=nfp-...all_for_nothing This is hilarious, to think that no one contacted the Dolphins about Marshall except for the Bears. I can think of at least 5-6 teams that would've taken the "risk". The best part is that Miami would have just released him. That would've created an even bigger firestorm and would've been a horrible move. The Dolphins would still be on the hook for the rest of the guaranteed money and would've had a residual cap hit. That would've went over really well in Miami. It seems like Ross is just trying to save face and show how good of a negotiator management is by getting 2x 3rd rounders for someone th…
