  1. Both teams come in tied at 6-7, with only 3 games remaining, this has become an elimination game. The team that wins has a 50/50 shot at a playoff slot while the loser is pretty much eliminated from playoff contention. It really comes down to which one of each of these teams shows up.

  2. If Stafford with backup WRs can carve up the Bears, I can't imagine what Watson is going to do. Watson 28 - Bears 13 Projected stats: Jackson with 8 tackle observations (he was there for moral support) Skrine with 7 receptions against (he is being giving this time of year) Mack with 6 missed holding calls (he likes to cuddle) ARob with 5 receptions (at least he didn't run out of bounds one yard short of the sticks) Kmet with 4 targets (huge if true) Trubisky with 3 passes short of the sticks (on 3rd Down of course) Hicks with 2 TFLs (the star of the game) and 1 more loss for the Bares.

I'm watching Leonard Floyd and he's everything we wanted him to be. Last year of Fangio, he had the hand injury and got 4.5 sacks. Under two years of Pagano, he got 7. He has eight this year while competing with Aaron Donald. Great job Pace and Pagano for giving us an older Quinn at a higher price and an older age. Bravo! What a cluster f$&k!

  5. Huge game for draft position. A loss keeps a top 10 pick in play, a win and we are looking at a pick around 15. After losses to MIN and GB, a loss to DET at home would have to be the final swing of the hammer on the nail in the coffin for Nagy and Pace. So we have a few things to be hopeful for in a loss. A win won't even feel like a win at this point. Unfortunately, these are the games the Bears win. So I expect a win, 20-16 in an ugly one.

Looking like I might squeak out a win this week. Even if I don't I should remain the #2 seed in my league. But there are enough teams that could challenge me for that spot and things go really poorly I could even find myself on the outside looking in if I don't win next week (especially if I don't pull it out this week. In our league we have a waiver priority number rather than a FAB system. The priorities don't reset each week. So I currently have the #2 priority. If I use it I move to the back of the line. I've been hit hard with injuries and COVID so the waiver wire has been extra important down the stretch. I'm wondering if there is a player out there that is …

Going into the final week of the regular season, we still have 9 teams vying for 6 playoff spots, a very competitive year. So far Run Dem Pockets (1), The Bunny (2), Corona Kings (3), and SAVAGEw/LOOSEMORALS! (4) have clinched a playoff berth. That leaves the following teams competing for the last two playoff spots in the final week of the regular season: 5. The Mad Lithuanians* (technically they are in barring some crazy scores since they have the Pts For Tie Breaker against any of the remaining teams) 6. MotM 7. PapaBear 8. Nopper 9. Nips&Tips Even though Victorious Secret has been eliminated, they are on a 2-game win streak, trying to end th…

Nagy blasts Bears for SNF debacle: 'Have some personal pride' Alex Chippin Bears head coach Matt Nagy ripped his entire team Monday following Chicago's blowout loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. "Every freaking coach on the staff, every player better wake up and start understanding where we're at," he told reporters, via Chris Emma of 670 The Score. "Have some personal pride. Have a freaking sense of urgency. Know where we're at. … Yesterday was flat-out embarrassing and our guys know it." https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/nfl/nagy-blasts-bears-for-snf-debacle-have-some-personal-pride/ar-BB1buMbv?pfr=1 ====…

  9. 5-5 Bears at 7-3 Packers. The Packers just lost to Indy while the Bears won the bye week. I don't have a good feeling about this one. The offense is beyond repair. I expect it to be a 2-3 score deficit, Packers 31-17. The defense has to defend against too many short fields and Skrine gets exposed time and time again. Rinse and repeat.

Here we go. The defense has quit on Nagy and Pagano. Multiple times last night I watched Fuller, Gipson, Jackson, Mack and Roquan easing up on plays. They were dead all game. Everyone saw it. Pagano has the reputation of being a good guy coach, from Baltimore to Indy. He was fired from Indy because he was so good to the players that needed a boot up their ass and didn't hold everyone accountable that he lost the team. I witnessed it, as I live just outside of Indy. Pagano is done here. Again, I would seriously try to trade Jackson, Hicks, Mack and Fuller and rebuild. (What's the dead money for trading these guys?) On to the offense where we thoroughly know t…

The only good thing about the bye week is not having to be tortured by that offense. I would take the Jets offense over this. The 5-1 start was fools gold. We should have been 3-3 and now 3-7. I'm really only thinking at most two more wins. We are not beating MIN or GB. The other 3 games are JAX, DET, HOU. I don't think we can beat DET right now either. I think they beat the Jags no matter what, but don't know about HOU with Watson. Just an unbelievable turn of events over the last month. How many losses in a row is needed for a coaching change? We are at 4, with GB next, that seems like 5. How long does this need to go on before something is done?

Unless we have a few miracles take place, we are on a downward path. Here's my plan for a quick turnaround. Fire Pace and replace him with Louis Riddick. I don't of many more football people I have been more impressed with. He's smart, knowledgeable, decisive, commanding and diverse. Give him full command to hire and fire at will. My choice would be that he hire someone like Dabo Sweeney to be HC. Also, beg Bill Polian to be president of your organization for two years and give him free reign. We know this going to be a two to three year change, so let's think 2 years ahead to start. Our defense is older, but incredibly talented. We have collateral there…

If I need to explain how bad Foles has been, it's not worth discussing, lol. Everything was better with Trubisky. He's not the long term answer, but he's the only answer this year. PPG, run YPG, TD/INT ratio and TOP will all improve.

  14. This is a make or break game for the Bears. Win and playoff chances alive. Lose and it's over. It's that easy. Bears 20-16 in an ugly one.

I'm not doing the breakdown this week, as I've seen enough. Foles is a pussy and I'm not talking about the injury. At least 6 times he could have set his feet and thrown the ball last night and he chose to do something other than fundamental. He doesn't show the mental discipline and toughness to succeed. Like 6 teams already knew this, but our resident geniuses now something other good franchises don't. I'm done with him. I don't know that happened to the gameplan, but WTF? Our 2nd and 3rd drives netted 80% of our yards against a defense that is not good. Our you heard our next GM commentating the game, you would have heard him criticizing our play calli…

At 5-4, a win against MIN on MNF is the only way we have a chance at the playoffs. If the Bears lose and go to 5-5, the season is over. However, I think they win and go to 6-4 into the bye. If they do, they still have work to do in the highly competitive NFC. There is a chance that 7 teams win 10 games and the 7th team doesn't make the playoffs. Here is the main competition for the playoffs: 1. New Orleans 7-2, currently 1st in Division, but lost Brees for several weeks. They have the tie breaker against the Bears, only 1 game against teams in the hunt. I project them no worse than 11-5, but expect 12-4 or 13-3. The Brees injury could be huge if he is out extend…

Since we have a Fire Nagy thread, I think we should make one for the GM that should have been fired a year ago. The case for firing Ryan Pace: 1. Awful in the first round: He had 4 top 10 picks and whiffed on three of them(White, Floyd, Trubisky) 2. Failed trades: Pace has traded draft capital for the following players: Trubisky, Mack, Miller, Montgomery, Foles All of the players he has traded for have been either inconsistent(Miller, Mack, Montgomery) or bad(Trubisky, Foles) 3. Contract disputes with the Bears best players: The fact that he couldn't get extensions done with Fuller and Robinson is inexcusable. Transition taggin…

  18. So I wonder if the firing of both Pace and Nagy wouldn't be the biggest moral booster the Bears could make before the season ends. And I also mean tearing down the whole team. I don't think any D-fensive player has taken a team to a Super Bowl win, no matter how good, with out strong support across the board. Taylor, Butkis, Watt, Donald, Sapp, Mack. When the highest paid player is on the defense or offense other than QB your just not going to win. And this whole mindset of getting a QB on a rookie deal so you can build around him. In the last nine years only two teams won with a QB on their rookie contract. Wentz was but Foles won the big one. IMHO in to…

Here's the latest offensive breakdown. I wish I had time to do this weekly. Note: When I say a run is R2, that equals right (2 hole or A gap). Play Actual Play Player Comments 1 Pass Swing pass left to Patterson for 8 2 Pass Play action pass to Graham for 24 3 Run middle Arob and Mooney No holes. LB and CB run blitz leaving Mooney and Arob alone. If they come down a chip there would be a huge gain. 1 yard 4 Quick pass rt …

  20. Bears getting 6 pts. Hard to see how the Bears pull this one out after the last two games. Offensive Line is decimated and we are not very good at stopping the run. Henry looks to have a big day. Until they show anything, this is an L. The only way I can see them winning is if they get a Special Teams or Defensive score. Titans 27-13.
