I still think the Bears will sign one of each, if not both, a notable at WR and/or OL. There are too many to ponder at both positions but something tells me that despite all the talk contrary, the Bears will sign a big bodied WR. And of those I have a feeling one of these will be it: Vincent Jackson, Braylon Edwards, Plaxico Burress or yes..I'll say it Randy Moss. I know the last two are troubling off camera but in both cases I think they are set to redeem themselves. And I have NEVER been a Moss fan but something tells me that he might just work out in Chicago.

I admit, I should just let things be and see how the chips fall, but dammit, there are deals out there being made and good guys flying off the market that we could have used! Right now, all we've done is sign a bunch of undrafted guys that'll probably amount to nothing and sign 2 draft picks that again will probablynot amount to nothing. No early round draft picks signed. No re-signing of guys or extendeding contract. No nothing in FA! Granted, it just started, but I want results now! ...sorry, had to just get that out. I know I should be patient. but I've been patient for what seems like an eternity already!

With the June 1 cap savings applied, the Bears now have over $15M in cap space. So there is a good chance they pick up a few more FAs in this class over the next few weeks. It will be interesting to see where they target. I hope they go after a RG at least.

PFF has published most of their position group rankings, and I keep seeing multiple Bears on the lists, but in terms of team rankings the Bears are not as high. So right now they have published 11 position groups, and you would hope the Bears would have at least one player per group in the top 32, which would just make them an average team, especially if all the rankings were in the 20s and 30s. For the Bears, they have 16 players listed out of the 11 position groups. Since they didn't have any players listed for DL, that means they had 6 players that are ranked higher than any starter on another team w/o any players listed. They also had 5 position groups with …

I think Tremaine Edmunds is going to get cut soon. Whether we cut him or trade him, whether before or after June 1st, the result is the same. We will open up $15M in Salary Cap space. Of course I'd rather get something for him, even a 7th rounder, but if a team trades for him, they'll be on the hook for the $15M this year, and I don't see anyone paying him that much. It's possible if two (or more) teams want him AND can restructure him in a longer term deal to something more appropriate, then maybe we could get some value in trade, but I think it's much more likely that teams will just wait for us to cut him. A bit early, but what else can we do to kill time waiting for camp to open? There was an article on NFL.com predicting the outcome of every regular-season game to be played in 2026. The authors of the predictions were two guys I'm unfamiliar with, Ali Bhanpuri & Tom Blair. These guys were generous with their predictions for the Bears. One had us at 10 wins; the other at 11. Both had us winning the NFC North title again. One had us going into the playoffs as the #2 seed; the other as the #3 seed.
