Just curious on your thoughts about Lovie's continous effort to go for it, and fail, on 4th & goal from the 1. I'm in the middle. They were down by 3 at the end of the 3rd and should've taken the points and tied it. They didn't and while the throw wasn't great, it was a ball Clark has to catch. Against the Lions they had 4 plays to get 20 inches and couldn't. Again I take the points but Lovie trusts his team can get such a short gain in 4 plays. On top of this, Forte needs to get his pads lower at the goal line. He's running too upright and is down at first contact by a player.

There is only one coach-GM tandem in Bear history that is more successful than Lovie and JA and that is Ditka and Finks. The problem is when Ditka was hired the "Ole Man" stepped in and stepped on Finks toes basically forcing Ditka down Finks' throat since Ditka as a Dallas assistant wrote a letter to Halas campaigning for the HC job. That made their time together only 2 years. The "Ole Man" also stepped on Ditka's toes by hiring the defensive coordinator(Buddy Ryan) before hiring the head coach. I just saw on the opening story of PTI that our old QB Kyle Orton doesn't care what the fans think of him and is glad that the fans don't make the decisions. He went on to add that the last thing he is trying to do is to win over the fans on the football field. He is, potentially, the starting QB of an NFL franchise there most likely is said face of the franchise. Do you think he crossed the line here? Thoughts?

We are looking for two new people to join the TalkBears $25 keeper league. This league has been going on for close to 10 years and is always very competitive. Bears favored by 10 on the road. The Bills defense is very good but their offense is arguably one of the worst in the league. They have scored 37 points in their last 5 games (averaging just over 7 per game) and are coming off a MNF loss to NE. In contrast, the Bears have scored less than 23 once (in a 16-14 win). It is amazing the money the Bears have shelled out for what has been considered a complete lack of effort and discipline with regression and disappointment throughout the roster. Mack (141M), the highest paid defensive player in football, gets his huge contract and has been a huge disappointment this year for the money. He had no stats against the Rams. The NFL and media have fallen in love with the passing game in recent years but this year the playoffs are proving that you can still win by running the ball. The Titans have taken down the Patriots and Ravens behind a middling QB, a strong running game/Oline, and a strong defense. We have two of those pieces. FWIW the Ravens got to the 1 seed by running. We all know we need the Oline fixed but we also must find a good RB to compliment Montgomery. A RB with some speed. Then we need someone to call the running plays.

There are rumors Washington may be looking to move Haskins after demoting him to third string last week. He’s on a rookie contract for one more year(?).
