Current Roster
We've seen it happen before. A player never gets the respect he deserves because he is playing backup to a guy everyone is calling a generational talent, a surefire NFL Blue Chip player. I predict, unless he gets injured, Ros will be every bit as productive as Bijan. In fact, I'd go so far as to say he might wind up being our starter, and put up some amazing numbers. Individual Rushing Statistics # Player GP ATT Gain Loss Net AVG TD Long AVG/G 5 Robinson, Bijan 12 258 1622 42 1580 6.1 18 78 131.67 2 Johnson, Roschon 12 93 563 9 554 6.0 5 52 46.17

NFL Draft Day 3 Thread
The word is that the Commanders are not picking up the 5th year option for Chase Young and may be looking to trade him for draft capitol. He had a great rookie season but then crapped out the last two years because of injuries. Now the Commanders may be looking to move on. I sure as hell wouldn't give up a 1st, but maybe a 3rd that could be a 2nd if he is a first ballot pro bowl selection his first season (and agreed to a reasonable contract). What do you guys think? Do you think his guy is washed up or will he return to the dominating edge rusher he proved to be in his rookie year when he was DROY and was voted to the Pro Bowl?

Anyone know of any interesting UDFA prospects at the edge or OC positions? ?

AA went to Indy, so my hopes to see him drafted by the Bears are nil.

Ughhh! It hurts to see so many drafted that we hoped would be taken by the Bears.

I have to believe it would be an expensive move up to pick 32. Who do you think they would target?

A Offensive Tackle Drafted By The Bears
I just Googled the following question: Why did d wright switch from left offensive tackle to right offensive tackle? It seems others have asked this question because it did come up with an interesting response. I assume from reading it Wright played ROT in 2020, LOT in 2021, then switched back to ROT in 2022 beacause: Glen Elarbee was the Offensive Line Coach for the Tennessee Vols.

A Offensive Tackle Drafted By The Bears
Good point. I was wondering the same. I assume the switch was to get the best 5 on board, and maybe Wright was better suited for ROT than the guy who played LOT for TENN last year? Does anyone know who their LOT was and how good he was? I didn't watch much college FB last year so I would have no valid opinion.

A Offensive Tackle Drafted By The Bears
Read that D Wright played the entire season for Tenn at LOT in 2021, then switched to play all 2022 at ROT. Also played 2 games at OG early in his college days. So he is certainly versatile, and has not been ruled out as LOT according to Poles. Loved the presser where Wright told about Pace and the OL Coach trying to test his resolve by putting him through a tough conditioning drill on their visit for a personal tryout. For Poles to travel to attend this audition I take it is not the norm and shows he was determined to find the best option for the ROT position. Getting to like Poles. Now he needs to nail it tonight!

Jets take Will McDonald. LOL I bet Rodgers is pissed they didn't take JSN. He complained GB didn't address WR in last years 1sr round, now his new team goes defense. I hope Rodgers sucks ass in NY.

Carter didn't get drafted by one of our NFCN rivals, good deal. RB B. Robinson went to Atlanta, who will play Carolina twice. good deal. I want teams in Carolina's division to have strong drafts. LOL

Poles obviously had doubts about Carter, so its' fantastic he was able to pick up my #1 choice for ROT.

The Bears Big Board
Then we saw different punters line up for the Bears. I just checked the stats: 46.0 Average (ranked 23rd) with 40.9 Net Average (ranked 24th) Also ranked 23rd for inside the 20. Fine, 3rd best as rookie for Bears, but I assume our past rookie punters sucked. LOL

The Bears Big Board
If Bryce Baringer, P, Michigan State is still available in the 7th I'd love to see them draft him. The guy has one hell of a leg. Can't say I'm impressed with our current two punters on our roster.

A Case for JSN...
I hope the guy Gabriel referred to is working for Detroit. ?

The Bears Big Board
Found this draft interesting. A 7 round mock with the writer, Bears Insider Josh Shrock from NBC Sports, giving his take on what he would do if he were Poles. Love D Wright in a rd 1 trade down. Schrock's Bears Mock Draft 7.0: Can Poles check every box?

The Bears Big Board
I agree, Personally I like D Wright. However, there is a ton of talk about Poles drafting Peter Skoronski. Do any of you guys think he would be a right tackle option in the NFL or will his arm length limit him? He's supposed to be the ultimate technician. Would that enable him to be the exception to the rule when it comes to arm length for offensive tackles or is he destined to be an OG?

The Bears Big Board
Not sure if we are able to see the entire article w/o a paid subscription. Enjoyed the article but seemed to end abruptly. I was surprised ity didn't mention his pro day fiasco. I was also surprised when it said no one from Georgia endorses him. I heard his former HC from Georgia rave about him. Then, of course, one would expect the same. I once thought Carter would slip to us. I was uncertain about him, hoping a team would trade up to snatch him from us. LOL But after reviewing over a dozen mock drafts by the "experts" (cough) it appears half a dozen have Seattle, half a dozen have Detroit, drafting him. There was one with the Raiders drafting him, and only one of the bunch posted on NFL.com had him falling to the Bears. Thursday cannot come soon enough.

My take on Poles draft.
Like Your Take on the Draft. Would love to get that top pick in 2nd round back from Pittsburgh.

Players the Bears are meeting with (Updated)
A YouTube Video had a list of visitations to the Bears, the 30 pre-draft visits plus locals. From what I read, Poles didn't draft any player he brought in for a pre-draft interview last year. So I'm not sure how valuable this list is in trying to predict his draft board. Jalen Carter to visit
I'd love to see a team drafting in round one lower than slot nine fall in love with Carter and offer us a trade to draft him (assuming he is still there at #9). Poles has shown enough interest in Carter with his pre-draft visits to make any team wanting to draft him concerned. I know it is a wild theory but could this be a smokescreen by Poles to bait a team to trade with us to draft Carter if he falls to #9?
