Good Grief. I read a few days ago three teams opted out. I think Denver was one of them. Can't remember the other two. Now I read a total of nine teams have decided to opt out. There will be many more. If you don't like Nagy, fine. There are plenty of reasons one might think he should be replaced. However, IMO, this shouldn't be one of those reasons. (Personally, I think he deserves one more chance to right the ship.)

I have to believe the only way Baltimore trades Brown is if they get MAJOR draft picks in return. A 24 yr old pro bowl left tackle is going to require at least one first rounder + ????. Then when the trade is complete, what is it going to cost to sign him to a multi year deal to make sure he remains with us?

I chose to go for Fields. Problem is, I think it will take #20, a 2nd or 3rd this year, and our first next year. Lance has limited starting experience at FCS level. Reminds me of MT.

I can't remember what the 55/48 figures were before the "covid-year" Can you help me out? I'm too lazy to research it. BTW, I'm thrilled they got rid of preseason game and extended the season to 17.

I think this is the first mock draft I've seen posted on NFl.com showing the Bears trading up to 11 to draft QB M. Jones Four Round Mock Draft Just Posted by Chad Reuter on NFL.com

According to an article on Bears.com Burns tore his ACL in August in training camp?

Excellent article! I couldn't agree more with the author. Dalton is certainly good enough to get us to the playoffs, assuming they retool the offense and field a top ten defense. Many want to write off the 2021-22 Bears. I'm waiting to see what else Pace does in FA and the draft before I go that far.

No Way, No How. Just read the article on NFL.com. First round draft pick in 2020. Complete bust. Played 3 offensive snaps. Traded to Miami for virtually nothing. Miami cuts him three weeks later because his attitude still sucks. Could be one of the worse 1st round draft picks EVER. Miami Dolphins release former first-round pick Isaiah Wilson

Bears Awarded Two Picks in 6th round

I'd love Wilson as our QB - HOWEVER - I don't want to see the Bears give up our best players in addition to 2 number 1s for ANY Quarterback. That to me is a step backward. JMHO

I have to believe Arob is worth just as much to a team wanting a #1 WR as Stephan Diggs was when traded to Buffalo. It cost Buffalo their 2020 first-round, fifth-round and sixth-round picks and a 2021 fourth-round pick—Buffalo got a 2020 seventh-rounder in return. I would be unhappy if all we got for him was two 3rds, one this year, one next year. I see all of these teams getting huge dividends when trading blue chip players. We always get crap.

Stinger, I strongly suspect that the Patriots will be the new home for Garoppolo, if San Francisco lets him go. They blew it by signing Cam Newton. Belichick regretted losing Garoppolo and would love to have him return to the Pats.

I'm going to enjoy watching Alabama and Notre Dame tomorrow afternoon. A lot of players on the big stage that will be declaring for the draft this year.

Buffalo released veteran OG Quinton Spain. He excels at protecting the QB (allowed ZERO sacks in 2019) Struggles in run blocking. Being the Offense leans towards the pass, and few OGs are strong in both the run & pass, would it be worth it for the Bears to consider this guy? He's young. A veteran with experience. I say yes. Bills release Quinton Spain seven months after signing veteran OL to extension

I'd prefer to see Pace draft a QB. How many times have the Bears tried to resurrect the career of a QB who lost favor with the team that drafted him? It's rare that it works out for the team looking for help at QB. The Bears have lost their ass every time, including twice giving up two first rounders for a QB that never lived up to our expectations. If Pace picks up another bargain basement QB, he just has another lame excuse to ignore the position in the draft. And while I'm on my soap box, I cannot understand why the Bears seem to fall in love with players in the draft with measurables and potential instead of 3 or 4 years of high level production. Please, no more one year wonders drafted in the first round. Okay, I'm done ranting. I feel much better.

Well, I think it will be Trubisky, bat I'm hoping it will be Foles. I'm tired of them talking about stretching the field with a QB (Tru) who is terrible at going deep. Why would the other team worry about Trubisky going downfield? Just watch the game tapes.

According to CNN, the NFLPA announced that 72 players tested positive for Covid-19 as they prepare to open camps. Not sure how many players were tested or if there will be more reported? Sure doesn't give me a lot of confidence going forward.

As much as it pains me to say this, I seriously doubt the NFL will be able to have a season this year. The pandemic is hitting another surge. Players are going to begin to test positive. Quarantines put in place. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not counting on seeing the Bears play this ear.

Being stubborn, curious, and having plenty of time to kill, I found this excerpt from an article that would indicate he will soon, in June, turn 24. Article about Dieter Eiselen on ronclementssports.com

I don't know enough about Vildor. Is it possible they are looking to bring him in at Safety? I saw he piled up a decent number of tackles for a cb, and has good ball skills. Just curious as like I said I don't know this guy.

I like the pick. TE is important for Nagy's offensive schemes. We had nothing at that position last year. Horrible. Now we can line up in 2 TE sets with quality starters.

I saw this on online at NBC Chicago Sports. A Chicago restaurant had this posted for their patrons: Link to Article on www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bears/

I'm undecided on the signing. I would have preferred rolling the dice with drafting a 2nd rd TE & signing a healthy young TE in FA for less money. Unfortunately, all FAs are going to get big pay days with the new CBA, especially going forward.
-
I'd love them to draft this kid. I'm a Notre Dame fan. Chase has plenty of speed to go down field. Good hands. Catch radius. Great second effort aft the catch. I'd be surprised if he was there in the 4th. Which means he will be there in the fifth and the Bears will pass over him for someone else I've never heard of.

I agree, Dephillpo and Lazor both have amazing track records for their ability to get the most out of the QBs they've worked with. Plain and simple, it's a last ditch effort to salvage MT's career. Unfortunately, I'm unsure it's possible. We'll see. I would love to see them bring in a legitimate backup/starter in case MT tanks.
