  1. Here is another article that shows how Fields is the top Rookie QB in this year's class making throws after first read: Data says Fields actually best rookie QB past first read

    Teven Jenkins

I'm going to enjoy watching this kid play BEARS football! I just found these videos on YouTube: This is the most violent man in college football Then, another less analytical but fun to watch: All-22 Film: Teven Jenkins Plays Football like He's Angry
  3. I assume you guys who mention betting do so online. What site/service do you use? I've never placed a bet like this before but if the O/U is 7.5 I think I just might give it a go.
  4. According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the is an unnamed league source suggesting Goldman is considering retiring at the ripe age of 27? Seriously? I certainly hope not. We need this guy back out on the field. It sounds like Bears NT Eddie Goldman’s future is in doubt
  5. In regards to Jenkins, anyone want to take a guess as to what game he gets flagged for driving his man out of bounds and pancakes him? I loved watching the highlight video of him on the Bears' website showing him doing the same in a college game. Despite his coaches warning him that in the NFL that might get him tossed in a game, he's going to find it hard to harness the emotion he plays with. I give him 3 games. Short Highlight Video: Jenkins is Going to be a Beast!
  6. Pretty much, hell, it's only a 15 minute drive from O'Hare Airport. You can also access it by bus or train from Chicago. Quite frankly, with the traffic congestion around Soldier Field, it will probably be easier to travel to Arlington Heights even if you live in Chicago.
  7. That's right, perfect examples. The Jets and Giants share a stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. I should have remembered that. I once sold event tickets online. Sports tickets were big commissions. I gave it up because I couldn't stand Ticketmaster, who I promoted, scalping fans.
  8. I thought I read someone post about the Bears putting in a bid to buy the Arlington International Racecourse as a possible location to build a new stadium but I don't see it. I'm sure most if not all of you are aware of the story. There are some fans upset saying that they don't want the Bears renamed the Arlington Heights Bears.???? I don't understand where they are coming from. The Dallas Cowboys Stadium is located in Arlington, Texas, and they remain the DALLAS Cowboys, not the Arlington Cowboys. I'm sure there are other examples. I see no reason to believe the Bears would change their name. Agree?
  9. Yes, The Bears will have a fifth year option that they can exercise, and I pray Fields plays so damn good he earns a new contract before his fifth year. The amounts first round draft picks are slotted by the NFL & NFLPA CBA. Here is an interesting link that shows this years 1st round slotting: NFL Rookie Contracts for 2021 First Round Selections The fact that there is no offset language means that he will get his guaranteed money even if he is released before the end of his 4th year, allowing him to double-dip (getting paid full amount of guaranteed money by the Bears without the amount being reduced because of his new teams contract.)
  10. Okay, once again my failing memory haunts me. We had a WR break his collar bone in preseason a few years ago. I believe, after it healed, he got injured again after returning to the lineup. Eventually I think the bears gave up on him. I hope Newsome isn't going to follow the same path. Can't remember the name of the player. I know you guys can solve the riddle for me. LOL On second thought, Was it Kevin White?

    Robert Quinn

A lot of us, including myself, have voiced negative opinions of Quinn because he only produced 2 sacks last year. However I have read several articles, including the one I have linked below, stating in 2020 he was a top "disruptor" ( #10 with Aaron Donald #6). I've read other articles with him rated even higher. So I'm wondering if I need to give him some slack and hope his sacks increase to what it should be for a "top disruptor" which the article agrees is unusually low. Next Gen Stats' top 10 disruptors of 2020
  12. I must admit I would have loved to have a much easier game in week one. The reason being I want Fields to start week one. With a tough game to start the season, I think it will keep him holding a clipboard. I doubt Nagy will throw him into such a tough matchup to start his career.
  13. If your team cannot beat the top teams in regular season matchups, they don't deserve to be in the playoffs.
  14. I seldom believe all that is reported in practice sessions by the coaching staff. You never hear negatives. Everything is superlative adjectives. Every player sounds like a future hall of famer. A G.O.A.T. That is until it is time to cut the roster down. However, on occasion you hear something that is factual and not subjective. I find this quote from ChicagoBears.com very encouraging in regards to J Fields progress: To me, on his first day working with the team, that's amazing!
  15. ChiliBear, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I also lost a child, my daughter, who was only 47, just before last Christmas. When I was younger I was foolish to believe people who told me time would help me deal with the loss of my wife. I lost my wife in 1986. She was only 32. Seemingly perfectly healthy until she had a massive heart attack and could not be revived. Her loss still haunts me to this day. Stay strong for those who share your loss. In Tarik's case, he mentioned 2 nieces who will need his support going forward. I have no doubt he will stay strong for them.
  16. Thanks for the video! This guy is really serious about taking care of his body. No wonder he can run a 4.4 and toss the ball 60 yds. downfield.
  17. Sad story from NFL.com Tyrell Cohen, twin brother of Bears RB Tarik Cohen, found dead at age 25
  18. Do you have a link to the video showing his workout routine?
  19. As listed by Bearswire.usatoday.com: 10 - RB David Montgomery: 4.63 09 - WR Allen Robinson: 4.6 08 - WR Dazz Newsome: 4.57 07 - RB Khalil Herbert: 4.51 06 - QB Justin Fields: 4.44 05 - RB Tarik Cohen: 4.42 04 - WR Anthony Miller: 4.38 03 - WR Darnell Mooney: 4.38 02 - WR Damiere Byrd: 4.28 01 - WR Marquise Goodwin: 4.27 This should be fun to watch!
  20. Fantastic. A quarterback's familiarity with his receivers is paramount to his success. I hope he gets together with all of his WRs when possible, one-on-one or as a group. I know the NFL has tightened rules about team activities. However, I've heard of QBs and WRs getting together at a remote location, usually at of the players homes, to workout together. The NFL cannot prohibit that, and any team objecting would be crazy to object.
  21. At this time of year it's always fun to read positive remarks from the media. One can only hope they are right, this time. LOL A nice article about 2 of our 6th round picks, RB Herbert & CB Graham.
  22. Hell, after reading the stats on Love that you guys showed me, Why was Rodgers so upset about drafting this guy? He certainly is no threat to take over Rodgers position. Zero competition. I know GB hasn't drafted the players Rodgers wants for support, but Love is a backup QB, no a starter from what I gather.
  23. Exactly. When Farve left and Rodgers took over, I was laughing my ass off, thinking Rodgers would suck.

    Leno Released

There must be a way to restructure both Graham and Hicks. I'd like to see them both remain on the team.
  25. Just viewed a Highlight video of WR Byrd on YouTube. Showed ability to get good separation, yet also good in tight space, tracks ball good. Oh, and he is fast! LOL Highlights of new Bears speedy WR Damiere Byrd Out of curiosity I snooped around and found this: (I'm sure after six years some of this has changed.) Pro Day Scores: Pro Day Date: 4/1/2015 40 Yard Dash: 4.27 seconds 40 Yard (MPH): 19.16 (MPH) 20 Yard Split: 2.54 seconds 10 Yard Split: 1.51 seconds Bench Press: (N/A) reps (225 lb) Vertical Leap: 42.0 inches Height: 69.25 inches Weight: 173 lbs Broad Jump: 131 inches Hand Size: 8 inches Arm Length: 29.88 inches 20 Yd Shuttle: 4.09 seconds Three Cone: 6.59 seconds
