Ok, so see that pass to Mooney? It looks good. a nice wide open receiver across the middle and Fields throws it. But it was still a half second late. In that case it didnt matter, but even in that excellent situation, Fields STILL hesitates.

crap. Moore is down. he is not a RB. come on. We have a bunch of excellent RBs, and we run our QB and WR.

I think sometimes new players do well until coaches figure out how to stop them. Or maybe said another way, once they shine then coaches put more resources into stopping them.

It really makes you wonder how much better we'd be with proper coaching. I think this roster is a LOT better than they show.

Oh and its not one or the other. Just because i think Fields lacks a fundamental ingredient to being a successful QB doesnt mean Getsy doesnt suck too.

I think the idea was the Fields does better with the scripted plays, because he can spend extra time on pre-reading them.

Yeah, it may well be that Nagy, and the lack of pass protection last year ruined him. I think if you're drafting a QB in the first round, youve GOT TO have a new coaching staff or we are just caught in the same cycle over and over again.

no kidding. and when Fields is looking downfield I say "throw it throw it" I know sometimes no ones open. Sometimes.

You know, in a lot of years, everything was broken. We are in a very good position now, We have a bunch of good players we dont question, and the holes are obvious now. That bodes well for next year.

I think that has to do with the difference between the Cover 2 and the Tampa 2. I think Edmunds would be an Urlacher in Tampa 2, but that's not Eberflus' thing.

I see that too - my gut reaction is it's coaching, but I want to see the film later this week to see if they are doing something creative to us to make that happen.

JF is a great rusher on the edge, and up the middle when pass plays break down and the defense is spread out. They stuffed him up the middle on 3rd down.
