If the Bears move on from Cutler, McCown will not be the long term solution. He has shown he is a good back up but I don't see him as someone you build your team on. That being said, I would be willing to sign McCown to a 2-year extension so we know we can depend on him being there as Cutler's backup or a fill in while we develop a drafted QB. Peace

McCown is a game manager and is not a franchise QB. He has played great the last 1.5 games but he is not a QB that takes a team to the SB. He will not be the starter on this team. When Cutler comes back, he will be the starter. If Trestman decides Cutler is not the QB they need (after he has more time to evaluate him), they will move on to someone else. Peace

Major Wright is a FA so you can just let him go at the end of the year. Draft a safety in one of the first three rounds next year. Peace
