I have no issues with them not passing there but special teams has been horrendous this game. Hester needs to go at the end of the year. He is a shadow of the player he used to be. Peace
-
Just to clarify - I want them to win the last two games, not qualify for the playoffs and remove Lovie and staff. Peace
-
Everyone on this board is a fan and are just expressing their opinions. Lovie has taken this team as far he can, in my opinion, and I would like a change in staff. My fear is, as with several of the fans on this board, ownership and upper management would see a 10 win season as a success and keep Lovie. I am tired of mediocrity. I want a team that challenges for the Superbowl every year. Lovie Smith team's clearly do not do that. Peace

I am saying I don't see punter as a position of need. Offensive line, tight end, linebacker, cornerback all must be addressed. You can get an undrafted free agent punter if necessary (where the vast majority of kickers and punters come from). Peace
-
Ding, ding. We have a winner. Peace
-
Lance Louis was a 7th round pick. Peace
-
Draft a punter? Hell no. We have way too many other issues. Peace
-
Agreed. See Marc Columbo. Do not give up on him after one full year (especially coming off an injury). Peace
-
Tim Tebow, if brought in, will be nothing but a distraction. Even if he doesn't try to be, his presence alone will undermine Cutler. Agreed 100%. Huge distraction - pass. Peace
-
He should have went last week and we should have had a goal line running back in place for the Packer game. That was a huge miscalculation. Peace
-
Cry me a river. He's obviously never been to a Philadelphia game. Peace
-
Carroll coached in the NFL before going to USC (and he sucked at it). Even though Harbaugh hadn't coached in the NFL he was an NFL QB for years. He was around the game. Peace
-
Just wanted to bring this back to the top of the board and note I had discussed getting rid or Url before his comments. His comments sealed the deal for me. Peace
-
This will be it. No further discussion needed. Enjoy the day. Peace

Thankless attitude? I love this team and I have been a huge fan of Urlacher for years. However, when he openly criticizes the fans, I have the right to criticize him back. This doesn't mean I have a thankless attitude. I think it easy for an "outsider" (as some here are) to grade the reaction that a player like Urlacher is/was on his reaction to fans is sad...in some cases, pathetic. What exactly are trying to imply here? Please expand. Peace
-
A couple of points: 1. He was not in front of the microphone, he was walking off the field at halftime of the game. Most likely he didn't know he was on camera. He didn't have time to think about his reaction. It doesn't excuse what he said but I have a harder time criticizing him for it. However, I would ask him what he would expect from us - they were playing like crap against a horrible team. 2. Urlacher was in a staged situation hours after the game and was most likely told beforehand what he was going to be asked. Either he is too stupid to realize his words have consequences or he doesn't give a crap. I think its both. Really, I don't understand what the back and forth between us is about. I criticized Urlacher because I think as a member of any professional sports team it is unwise to criticize your fans publicly. He has every right to say it. I have every right to criticize him back. Really, that is the end of the argument. Peace

Bush will probably go on IR. Peace

I met Url in training camp his rookie year and I don't think he would do that. I think he is extremely frustrated about the team, his injury and the looming end of his career and it has boiled over. Take it out on the media all you want but don't take it out on your fans. Peace
-
Well said. Thank you. Peace
-
I've never shied away from speaking my mind and I can respect him for doing that. However, as a fan I vehemently disagree with the assertion that I shouldn't boo my team. If I had access to Urlacher I would tell him that. Peace
-
I never said I cheer him on as a favor. I cheer when they are winning. However, when they lose 5 out of 6 games, when they can't get a touchdown from the 5-yard line, when they burn their timeouts before the last 5 minutes of the fourth quarter, when they can't stop two fourth down plays greater than 5 yards, when they drop passes, when they give up a sack with 5 offensive linemen blocking two defensive players, when they continue to get offensive penalties, etc... I am going to boo them. If Urlacher doesn't like it, I suggest he hang 'em up. Peace
-
Fans boo in every city. They pay for their tickets and have every right to boo. Brian can say whatever he wants but I don't have to respect him for it and I don't. This city has shown him a lot of love through the years and as his career comes to an end in Chicago he has basically told us to take our opinions and stick it. Peace
-
Yes, I actually watched the interview and as a long time Bear fan and season ticket holder I was offended. Peace
-
Let me add that I guarantee someone from the organization met with Brian and told him he should not be criticizing the fans. I'm sure the organization was not happy it about it. Peace
-
I guess I could sell my season tickets every year (for profit) but I don't because I believe in supporting the team in good times and bad. I do not have to support a player who out right criticizes me. I remember Cutler criticizing the fans for no being quiet when we are in the red zone and I agree with him on that. If he criticized the fans for booing the team or called us stupid, that is a different story. Peace
