  1. No way Bush is cut. We run with these two for at least another year. Running back is not a concern for this team. Peace
  2. They hardly played the cover 2 last year. Peace
  3. With Forte and Bush under contract for the next 3 years, why draft a running back? I would say LB would be good there. Peace
  4. Agreed. Not interested. Peace
  5. He said he was going to interview on the defensive side of the ball as well. I think this means he is looking seriously at coaches still in the playoffs and we are in for an extended process. Why not interview as many candidates as you can until you are ready for the hire? Peace
  6. Ditka was great as a personality but not a very good coach IMO. He should have won two more Super Bowls but his ego got in the way. Peace
  7. I would much rather have Scheffler who is one year older than Keller, three inches taller and played with Cutler in Denver. Peace
  8. So play him at TE instead of fullback. Peace
  9. Evan Rodirguez is one inch shorter than Keller and the same weight. Peace
  10. I was talking about Urlacher, not Lewis. Peace
  11. I said in another post that if I were him I would go and play for N.E. I think that would be the best chance for him to get a ring. Peace
  12. Four years is a huge age difference in the NFL. I'll go with the younger player and the player who played with Cutler before. Peace
  13. Dallas Clark is 33. Scheffler is 29. Peace
  14. Dallas would have to agree to let him go in that instance since it is a lateral move. Peace
  15. I have had other people, not necessarily on this board, mention Carroll as a successful head coach coming directly from college. Carroll shouldn't be part of the conversation when discussing a head coach coming directly from college because that is obviously not the case. Peace
  16. Outstanding press conference. A huge difference from Angelo. Now let's see if his actions match his words. Peace
  17. But he was used as an example of a head coach who came from the college ranks and had success. He was in the NFL for 10 years before he got the opportunity as a head coach. My point, again, is I simply don't want a head coach coming straight from college with no NFL experience. I have no issues with them coming in from college as an assistant coach first and working their way to head coach. Peace
  18. Carroll was a college assistant from 1973 to 83. Peace
  19. He will get another HC job (hell Jauron and Wanny did). Peace
  20. The problem with any assistant on a staff that is in the playoffs is we have to wait until they are out of the playoffs to hire them. If Emery feels likes McCoy is the guy, or any other assistant in the playoffs, I have no issues with waiting. Peace
  21. I count at least 6 dropped touchdown passes this year. If Bennett catches the pass against Seattle, we win that game. If Hester and Jeffrey catch passes against Minnesota, we win that game. Marshall dropped a TD against Green Bay at the beginning of the season that could have changed that game. Cutler made some big mistakes, but his wide receivers did not help him at times. Peace
  22. And those four did fail spectacularly as did Pete Carrol his first time in the NFL. Just my opinion - no college coach. Peace
  23. I believe he should at least get an interview. He is the only coach I would keep off the previous staff. Peace
  24. Steve Spurrier Bobby Petrino Nick Sabin Butch Davis I'm sure I could think of more failures if I wanted to. Carrol failed as a head coach in the NFL and went back to college before having success at Seattle. I have no issues with bringing up college coaches as position coaches. I don't think they should be hired directly into a NFL head coaching position. Peace
  25. This. No college coaches. Peace
