  1. I am all for drafting QBs early but not sure about moving up to 8 though. I looked up the value, it would take 550 points which is equivalent to the 35th pick which would take the 2022 1st pick or our 2021 2nd and 3rd. I would sit tight, if a QB falls great if not take another need 1st like OT. QBs can be found in rd 2 or 3 but you need a good surrounding support of OL, WRs, RB, D and coaching to help them out more. I think they will find a prospect to work with this year.
  2. I would hate to waste future picks on the 5th best QB option. If a top tier OT or CB is not available, trade down. Gain an extra 2nd or 3rd and fill: OT, CB, WR, and QB in the first 3 rds.
  3. Trubisky will be the backup to Allen. Trubisky was targeted because athletically he is similar to Allen. Trubisky doesn't want a long term deal just yet because he still would like a shot to become a starter. Now if Trubisky has a chance in Buffalo to start a series of games due to injury and looks great in the new atmosphere, he is now a FA with the keys.
  4. It would be worse than that. Buffalo will franchise him and we trade multiple 1st's and pay him hugely.
  5. To add to it, Hicks was told to seek a trade. He will be gone too
  6. Do you have anything that shows these guys played better once Mustipher took over the line calls? I listened to Olin Kreutz say the reason the offense is working well in the last stretch was because of Mustiphers protection calls. Maybe that is why NYC saw Leno blow many calls.
  7. He looked bad but I think Dallas's oline also took some hits. Zeke had an off year and Dallas would have had to re-scheme the offense to fit a non-mobile QB that defenses keyed in on attacking. Dalton got hurt pretty early too.
  8. Germain Ifedi signs a one year deal with Bears worth up to 5 million. Probably means LT William's is out of the equation.
  9. So you are saying there is a chance? Hope he signs with the Bears on the cheap. He is a luxury player, so he will have fewer suitors. I can see NE bringing him back as they have money and are busy spending it early on
  10. Leonard Floyd gets his payday with LAR, 4 year 64 million.
  11. Roy Robertson-Harrison signs with Jacksonville, 3 year 24 million.
  12. There was conflicting reports that Fitz was going to retire but sounds like he wants to continue on from the latest. I will take FAs Winston or Fitzpatrick to hold the position down until we get a long term solution.
  13. They don't even want to test the market because it will get flooded with over priced cuts. They took the guaranteed pay asap
  14. I am good with both moves. Keep O'Donnell on the edge with one year deals too.
  15. Patterson's tweet indicates the Bears have informed him he is not coming back.
  16. I like the Winston angle.
  17. And today Kyle announces he is healthy and wants to play NFL ball again.
  18. I'll take If winning Superbowls were easy for $500, Alex.
  19. Did we not feel this team was close the year they added Mack? Not much has changed but time passing. I do think adding an elite QB can put this team in contention. Wilson has played on some of the worse oline teams and has been a top 5 QB. Give him an average oline with ARob, Mooney, Miller, Kmet and maybe Graham and watch out. If it cost only 3 first rd picks i would do it
  20. If trading for Wilson gives the Bears a window for a Superbowl for a year or two, would losing 3 first round picks be worth it? I think I would take it. They usually blow those picks anyways. It is just a thought and as we get closer to the draft the rumors will grow.
  21. I was waiting on you ?
  22. As Tampa exposed the great Mahomes and KC offense by attacking a weakend oline, I think it proved the importance of making the offensive line a priority. You need a great first unit with good backups. I would say that is what destroyed the Eagles and if their oline comes back, watch Jalen Hurts become a house hold name. For the Bears, they need to find two OTs. As much as I love having Robinson at WR, I feel he is held back because we don't have that protection or a QB that can overcome deficient protections. Hate to see it, but they need to tag/sign Robinson and trade him. Until they have a line and QB, he is like a sports car in Alaska.
  23. Foles would be like...not again...getting replaced by Minchew.
  24. I had to look it up. I would have done that deal too. 2021 2nd RD pick and a conditional 2022 1st RD pick if the Colts make the playoffs and Wentz plays 70% of snaps. 75% of snaps and they also get the 1st regardless of playoffs.
  25. This might help a QB slide down the draft some too. Still wouldn't mind seeing them take Mac Jones if there.
