  1. I hear you, it is nerve racking losing picks each year. I think once they have a their starting core, they can reverse mortgage and start gaining picks. I like what they are doing and hope they can still end up with Brandon Parker OT for development and a OLB.
  2. He will excel in the spread and zone blocking. It will be about movement with him. He is another scheme fit, just like A Miller WR.
  3. He also played in a RPO offense and turned short routes into huge gains. He will become a high target and will be a blast to root for.
  4. Wish Pace would start trading down. But he is not messing around. He brought in 3 starters, two that will help Trubisky blossom. Still have 4, 5, 6, and 7th to grab some sleepers.
  5. Liked Miller early on, so no beef taking him. He is a precise route runner and can play early. I have a feeling Lamarr Houston will be getting a contract real soon.
  6. I have seen Daniel's graded a first rounder on some sites. I was still intrigued by Conner William's, but his knock was his strength. He wasn't strong enough to move inside.
  7. Another plus, we don't have to worry about Whitehair and his shot gun snaps. Whitehair will know the line calls and can help Daniel's develop
  8. Looks like he can fire off the line and move well. Will solidify the middle of the line. Liked him better than Billy Price. Wish we can find a trade partner for Grasu, who may have had value if injury didn't riddle him.
  9. He is a fiery big man who would put pressure in the backfield. I believe he had one of the higher explosion ratings from the combine too. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DJrsxpm1YUCE&ved=0ahUKEwixpuGozNvaAhUEuVkKHU3oAmYQtwIIJzAD&usg=AOvVaw3NsOVGtQZchLwZBQi1gsV0
  10. OLB - since we are thinnest here. Landry, Carter, Key, Hubbard DE - Can Bullard and RRH take the torch? Harrison Phillips would be a stud and can play NT if Goldman walks after the year G-in case they are not sure on Kush and Morgan. Hernandez or William's WR-some RD talent, but this draft is deep Sutton or Kirk, sleeper Gallup
  11. Man it would be nice to have two high 2nd Round picks right now. I would be happy with Landry/Carter/Hubbard for OLB, Williams/Hernandez G, or Sutton/Kirk WR. Wish the draft was like the old days and a full Saturday affair with the TV.
  12. I think we are in line to get a good OLB. Sam Hubbard is my sleeper because he would compliment Floyd the best. Landry or Carter would be outstanding as well. Pace said they like to move around in the 2nd, so don't sit tight waiting for our pick and expect a move up with one of our 4ths if he wants a Landry or Hubbard. If he sits tight, he should get one of those 3. 2nd Rd could complete the D.
  13. That would be cool. The Dawg Pound
  14. Pace must have had conviction, not to trade down and to take Smith regardless. I like the pick, but if we missed on that price for Smith he better be all pro and not miss time with injury.
  15. That my friends should drop Chubb or Nelson to 8 because someone is taking Rosen or Allen.
  16. This can be deleted. I did not see a thread pinned to the top with this already started.
  17. Well, we are less than an hour from the draft kick off. I thought I'd start a thread to discuss general draft thoughts about all teams and picks.
  18. Great post. Right now Roquan is the hot pick and if he is not taken there will be riots in the streets it seems. You cannot argue with them fanatics even if you bring up valid concerns with his size. If they take him, great, I am his biggest fan. If they don't take him, I understand why.
  19. Davenport must not want to go at 8 if he cannot keep his mouth closed.
  20. I think you take the player that you think will have the best career, not just the best year one. If the Bears need a ILB for a year while player A or B develops, then go sign Bowman or another vet that can play if you need to.
  21. Seen one thought on Nelson that is if he falls to 5, 6, or 7 that Pace might pull the trigger and trade up. It would cost a future 2nd or 3rd. Not sure I would like that, but it could elevate Leno on the left solidifying the line
  22. I feel the same, the final two picks were not fun but those first 5 would be household names on Sundays. Looks like Greg Gabriel sees the first round play out with a trade also. Fun draft to follow, seems reasonable. http://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/sports/article_356f3c12-698d-5d8e-b927-24841bbc021d.html
  23. It is killing me seeing all these beat writers marking Nelson as the Bears pick. I do not see how he slips to 8. Sure it's a no brainer for me but it would be Aaron Donald all over again. If we dont trade down, I also think Edmund's is the pick. As you state, Pace was rewarded an extra clock with Nagy coming in with a raw QB. Edmund's fits Paces athletic freak model.
