Looks close to what we post. In seen this draft and thought this could work. I like the thought of a big WR and a burner and the developmental LT. The only miss I would want is a starting RT we could have by trading down a few spots.
-
I agree. Wilkerson is the only one I would think about and really wouldn't want much more than a year or two of him. RRH will be better and we still have Bullard with a little hope.
-
He should definately be considered. At 19, he is 6'4" to -6-5" and about 250. He can add 15 pounds with NFL strength training and be another Aldon Smith. With Floyd at 6'6", they will have some explosive length on the edge. He is raw, being 19, and will require patience to see results. That will play a factor at pick 8. Someone like Q Nelson can step in starting day 1, where Edmunds will be eased in as a rotational rusher.

https://www.sfchronicle.com/crime/amp/49ers...ce-12605724.php Rueben Foster arrested again. I will admit, I kind of wanted a young up and coming LB like him last year if we had the draft capital, but he is slowly eliminating himself from the league. This one might be enough to knock him out.
-
Tremaine Edmunds would be an intriguing pick since be could move inside or out for LB. Kind of like Christian Jones but much more athletic.
-
I don't disagree he will look better with an NFL caliber QB tossing the ball. I just don't see a top 10 pick spent on that position. Just going off analytics, WRs are the riskiest position in the draft to fill. I also think we address the position in FA.
-
Only way they draft a WR in the first is if they trade down. I dont see Ridley ranked much higher than some later prospects that could be had rd2 through 4.
-
I like Aaron Lynch and think he could be a possibility especially since he know's Fangio. Houston, Lynch, Floyd, Acho and a draft pick would be a good start. I trust Fangio will have input on another up and coming pass rusher he sees potential in like Edmunds, Davenport, Armstrong Jr etc.

Look at what Jeffrey got $ wise. He has only 360 rec in 6 years as Landry has 400 in 4 years, injuries on Jeffrey hurt him. That is 3.75 rec per game compared to 6.25. The difference is Jeffrey gets 14.8 yds per catch ave to Landrys 10.1. The Bears need a WR they can count on to be open and catch, keep the chains moving and feed Howard again. Adding a speed outside threat like Richardson or Ty Williams would also help. Draft wise, taking Gallup or Ateman with the 4th would make a nice corp.
-
He looked unstoppable against the cowboys. 6 out of his 9.5 sacks came in that game. He will also turn 31, so be might be too old unless it is a one year type deal to buy time for more drafts.
-
That draft would be great. Hercules would be a ? because be played most NT and would need to learn different angles, so Carter would be the ideal pick for OLB. Kirk and Ateman would be an awesome mix of speed and size.
-
He might be the only top WR to hit the market. Otherwise it will be As Adam stated getting Wilson, Lee, Grant.

I like Grant. A few months earlier I had Landry and him as the FA acquisitions. Could get McGlinchey OT, Key OLB, or Ridley WR with those two firsts. Since this is about upgrading the offense, I am taking Ridley WR along with McGlinchey OT. Round 2 we can get the OLB (Dorance Armstrong Kan) and another WR (Anthony Miller Memphis)or OT (Braden Smith Auburn). Go oline... Free agency, I like Jarvis Landry as the go to guy and to be odd, give me Ryan Grant Wash. Re-sign Meredith and Inman 2018 roster: Landry, Meredith, Inman, White, Ridley, Grant. Practice squad:Tanner Gentry and Austin Proehl (udfa-UNC

KC and Hou have the edge imo with more experience. SF and Chi will have more youth who can turn the page quickly. Hopefully we will see a JAX/LAR type turn around. Man I hope the Bears win this, I dont think I can take any more resets.
-
I am just pointing out McGlinchey would be capable to do it. If Leno plays well and stays healthy, he may never need to. I would rather have a OT like him than a strictly LT or strictly RT for flexibility. Out of the top OTs in this draft, Williams is LT/G. Brown is RT/G. McGlinchey is LT/RT. I think John Tait made the switch a couple times. If I remember right, he had no issues except for wanting enough time to get his footwork right.
-
I agree. McGlinchey projects at either T and can start right away. He will only improve once he gets on board concentrating on technique and strength. I also like the thought of drafting him and inserting him on the right and letting Leno continue playing left. As he gets his technique and strength in a year or two, he can shift to LT if needed. Having that versataltie makes him more valuable than Leno who is strictly a LT.

Luckily for the 49ers, they had the highest projected cap space with 117 million available. Even with JG taking 27 of that at least, they still have plenty of room to bring some big players in on. I suppose the Bears will always be linked with them since the trade for the 2nd pick, so it will be interesting to watch how these teams develop over the next few years.
-
Hard to say, there is always a price tag. I wasn't excited about all those picks but I do like the thought of having 3 top 50 players over getting 1 top 10. That top 10 could be a Kevin White, it's always a gamble.

For fun or torture, I traded pick 7 for Cleveland's 3 2nd rd picks and then traded pick 2-1 from Cle to NE for 2-11 and 2-32. Was hoping one of the top OTs would fall to the top of rd2 or a top OLB, so it failed but improvised. Your Picks: Round 2 Pick 3 (CLE): Billy Price, C/OG, Ohio State ( Round 2 Pick 5 (NYJ): Martinas Rankin, OT, Mississippi State (B+) Round 2 Pick 7: D.J. Chark, WR, LSU ( Round 2 Pick 11 (N.E.): Lorenzo Carter, OLB, Georgia (B-) Round 2 Pick 31 (N.E.): Dallas Goedert, TE, South Dakota State (A-) Round 4 Pick 5: Holton Hill, CB, Texas (A+) Round 4 Pick 15: Josh Sweat, DE/OLB, Florida State (A-) Round 5 Pick 8: Deontay Burnett, WR, Southern California (A+) Round 6 Pick 7: Javon Wims, WR, Georgia (A+) Round 7 Pick 6: Daniel Carlson, K, Auburn (A+) 3 WRs, 6' 170 ,6-3 185, and 6'4 215 gives new targets at x,y,z. Also a flashier TE for two TE sets. I'd sign Allen Robinson to a 1 year deal and re-sign Meredith. Kevin White also sticks.

Seems like a good prospect to bring to camp. Maybe he can become a Nathan Vasher?
-
Colts are looking like horse s*!t now. They lost out on Nagy by not even offering a deal. They passed on David Toub and now they're screwed over by McDaniels. Who would want to coach there now that they have signed some assistant coaches. We have been through some messes, but this would top them all. The Pats and McDaniels are Jack arses for pulling this, but it is on the Colts too
-
Brown does on size alone, he has a nearly 7 foot wing span with incredible strength. His foot speed and plays tall won't be anything to brag about but being that large will be tougher for pass rushers to get around, so he could play LT in a pinch if need be. As for Jones, I dont know much about him other than he played LT for OSU last year and reports say he looks more like a RT. I think they should target one prospect suited for LT instead of 2 guys who are slotted for the RT. That is why i threw out Parker. Conner Williams may also drop to rd 2-3.
-
Looks like he was cut, so he can sign now if he wants. link http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/...to-visit-bears/
-
Change Jamarco Jones to Brandon Parker and it could work with a RT/LT.
-
No doubt the guy is a beast among men. If Pace fills the other OLB position and CBs, then it is open game. Right now, we are basically down to Leonard Floyd at OLB. We still have McPhee and Young under contract, but it is hard to see them pay both another year from their past production. Cornerback is another story, I feel the Bears can re-sign Fuller and Amukamara if they want. It is not a shoe in, so they may be forced to consider a Josh Jackson or Ward in the first.
