  1. I think Lawson would make a good edge setter, which I am not sure we need. I don't think he will be a great pass rusher. I like the later pick with Nicholas, so not sure doubling up is good. A Robinson may work, he is raw in pass rush but stout against run, massive, and can develop pass rush skills. Henry, I can see. Best all around TE for blocking/receiving. I may be ok with this, like Higbee later also. Oakman, fits profile wise. 3rd may be slightly high, depends on who's board. I would prefer a SS higher, Rolle is questionable. Cash or Kearse? Just a few thoughts for now as version 2, 3 and so on shake out.

Cap question, a lot of these contracts are incentive laden. Wonder if that is figured into the remaining cap or if we have to keep space open for that? Not sure how that works.
  3. Wonder if they make Bennett happy with an extension? Otherwise I like Andrew Quarles as a blocking dual threat TE.
  4. Most likely, but if he is released he goes to waivers. So a team that is serious may do a swap, 5th for one of our 6ths or something in that nature.
  5. Great signing. Pace is giving us gifts daily. With a decent TE signed, I would expect to hear the Bennett trade soon. Marty was allowed to find a partner, lets hope he did well and gets the Bears a decent draft pick.
  6. Butler is my 2nd RD guy, can he be considered at #11? It is possible, but I would think we can trade down.
  7. The draft pool just got a little more crowded, as usual the Packers, Patriots, and Ravens are up there. If Pace keeps drafting well, one day we may see the Bears back on this list. http://www.thescore.com/news/980601
  8. Or they may target another decent G and use Slaussen as backup Center.
  9. Gabriel was giving hints. Glad we got the guy they targeted for the line.
  10. I just seen a tweet about Matt Forte and the Bears concern about his knee. Could be the reason they didn't keep him. This was from a blogger, so not sure on accurate this is Forte's physical revealed some concerns about his knee. I wonder if that is why the Bears decided not to even attempt to bring him back.
  11. Can confirm that Akiem Hicks is still in Chicago, as @greggabe first reported. Bears are waiting on a priority player. I think we will see an announcement on Monday.
  12. Seen that earlier and thought he had the inside scoop. Long deserves a recruiting bonus if they get Hicks.
  13. I see the Bears offered him 4 yr 19 million, looks like they do not feel good with only Langford/Carey.
  14. Spence? I know OLB like Von Miller can catapult a D, but not sure they go there. The Bears are in good position to take one or two guys around 5-6 round. Travis Feeney from Washington is my guy.

Pretty big commitment he got when we were only going 2 by my guess. Good for him.
  16. The thing with Knighton, Fox knows him. His name would be mentioned if they had interest. Hicks is intersting, but he hasn't produced enough to make me think he is a must. We will double up on 5T's in the draft if we do not get him. I like Vernon Butler a lot at the role as a 2nd rd pick.
  17. The way FA is falling, I want a game changer that fits our schemes. Still have needs at DT, SS, and TE. Depth at CB, OLB speed rush, and OLT. Maybe another G to free up Slaussen to slide over if need be.
  18. I thought Leno did well, but would not hesitate on Stanley either because of that. We may be drafting below 20 for years, so if Pace sees a great QB now, then I would understand the pick. Jay I think has 2-3 good years in him. I haven't kept up on QBs to know much on them, but Wentz seems to have some good things. I like Goff and his quick release, but not sure at 11.
  19. Maybe I am biased because Royal was a ghost. I seen some Wes Welker clutch plays from Mariani and maybe he puts up better stats if they went to him earlier. Either way, one year deal, so I am sure he is cuttable if it comes to that.
  20. I think when it came down to him as one of the only WRs healthy enough to play, he stepped up and looked good. No dropped passes. The guy could give Royal a run at the slot.
  21. #Bears have agreed to a 1-year deal with Marc Mariani. Welcome back, @marcmariani80! ?⬇️ https://t.co/VEZxvrKkyn
  22. I agree, if the Bears are in position to take BPA, and that is Wentz, Goff, or Elliott, no reason to be discouraged. As long as that player has what it takes to be great, we are heading in a good direction. I would love Stanley or Buckner round 1, they can fill a need but they most likely won't be there.
  23. Figured so. Words twisted to get a rise out of a few lol.
  24. Wow, huge signing! ILB just became a force. Pace is doing good work. If we can finish out with Hicks and a S, the D will be revitalized. The draft can bring in reinforcements to bring up the level of competition.
  25. Love it. The guy plays many roles, loved the fridge FB one the most.
