I fell off Nagy's wagon late last year. He is not an offensive guru. Maybe with the perfect team, but that's not happening. They have another list of needs QB, 2 OT, RB, DT, CB, S

Foles imo would call a better game. Did it seem after every timeout or the 2 minute clock stop, the Bears offense came out and the play got blown up. That has a story to it too.
-
I would say so. I hope he succeeds and see him smiling like Leonard Floyd. I wish they found it here, but something just didn't click.
-
Heck, Foles is ranked 34th for yards per attempt, he is behind Trubisky at 30th. Mitch can run and pass, just has trouble understanding defenses. That was not good and Griese won't get any off the record talk from players anymore. Now Foles and Nagy have to sort this out and explain it.
-
Read this today. Since taking over the offense, the Foles lead offense has been worse...actually last in NFL. Trubisky at the helm produced over 300 yds a game, Foles 263. Passer rating: Trubisky 87.4, Foles 77.6, QBR: Trubisky 56.4, Foles 46.2. TDs/INT: Trubisky 6 td 3 int, Foles 6 td 6 int. Yards per carry avg: Trubisky 10.9, Foles -1 yd per carry avg. I know it is skewed with the Defenses they played, but just saying.

Nice breakdown, Mongo. That had to take some time. I thought maybe Foles would elevate the offense, but not sure if he can. Too many issues to overcome from penalties, missed assignments, and bad play calls. He has missed throws and has had many throws into double and triple coverage, thrown off back foot and made mistakes analysts have been critical on Trubisky for. I will say he does understand coverages and blitzes better, but we still can't score. Maybe the Bears can implement a two QB system. Play them both, whomever has the hot hand gets more snaps. Foles is known as the great reliever or plays his best coming off the bench. Why not give it a shot.

The Bears hands are tied. They are over the cap next year unless they cut or restructure some players. One offensive tackle will be gone if not both, Fuller will have to agree to a new contract. Then throw in the cap allowance getting lowered because of loss of revenue this year. Pace will have hands full. Not a good year to try to try to bring in a new GM either.

I know the line is and has been on fire, a dumpster fire. Now the people who were Foles ppl, not saying on here but more media, are saying it is because of the line. They couldn't say it with Mitch. They said he couldn't read, throws off his back foot, has bad accuracy. What the heck has Foles been? He struggles too and the excuses of getting accumulated are over that is why the oline play is now spoken. I put more blame on the play caller. Good player coach sure, but this offense is garbage. He was hired to make Mitch and make the offense great.

26th with Nagy, Foles, adding Defilippo, Castillo, and Lazor. This part is frustrating. Goes to show you need a star QB, decent oline, a running game, and lots of speed. By the time any of those pieces are in place the defense will be depleated. The Bears going into 2021 will be over the cap. Going to have to trim quite a bit because the cap will decrease too. If they do continue to win, we are looking at 20 or after for a pick which puts us in a RT or CB/S range. Might be a QB that has traits but needs time. I wish Nagy and Pace would have realized what they had on D and built a power run game with a great FG kicker. With this D, we still have a shot and maybe the offense will start clicking as Foles gets accumulated.

If Trubisky is cheap, he is up for a contract. Nagy just needs to re-think his genius. He is not far and I thought he would learn but no..
-
Maybe, never know. Trubisky's drawback is reading D zones. He has talent but cannot grasp the learning. Ragone has been with him from day one, maybe he was a bad teacher. I think talent can arise with the right mentorship and surroundings. He fell off when the team had talent to win it all and he lost the surrounding support (teammates). If Parkey hit the FG to advance would Trubisky be different? Success depends on many factors. So what do the Bears do to become relevant for years? They need the QB for that and it is looking like they will be out of reach for a couple years. If they miss the playoffs, maybe dismantle. Trade assets for picks etc and go through the rebuild again. If I was Pace/Nagy, with this D, I would have beefed the oline and RB stable and win by old school grind it out.
-
Nagy should know what Reid is doing if he wants to replicate. He has his own twist which is going against percentages because going against percentages creates a small window for genius or crazy..been crazy so far. It is that or we have a bunch of players that after 3 years have no clue what to do. I think if we got Ballard instead of Pace and Reich instead of Nagy we would feel better about the direction. Nagy is all or nothing. If they don't get it this year we have nothing and are screwed at QB and oline. Just glad we are 4-1 and should win Sunday in the last minute of the 4th.

Now that Haskins is out there, does that diminish Trubiskys trade value? If they are both available, who would another team prefer?
-
If Kmet was the only TE I'd be worried. People need to relax on him. The Bears are struggling but winning. As you said worry about the oline. Definitely need to draft a couple OTs early and a project G/C. I hate how they have avoid OT for nearly 10 plus years.

...and Shaheen just caught a touchdown.
-
It might make trading or cutting Fuller next year easier. I hope they can fit his 20 million cap hit in. 9 million in dead, 11 in savings.

I read something about Graham taking the cut (GB released him) to heart. He was one of the best and his performance dropped. He worked a little harder this off season and it shows. Sometimes it takes a wakeup call to get you back.
