  1. And now Charles London will also return to be the rb coach. That 3 former coaches returning so far. Very interesting
  2. Chris Tabor has been named the special teams coordinator
  3. Brad Biggs just tweeted that nagy pulled off a major move to get Harry heistand to return. I love this move big time
  4. Wow that's surprising that Ted and George let pace run the show
  5. Sounds to good to be true. But that would indeed be quite unbelievable
  6. Your absolutely right. What's $2M per yr for a great and long time proven DC like Fangio. That's just a drop in the bucket. I know I heard Fangio is the 2nd highest pd coordinator. Does anyone know what that figure is and who is pd higher than him
  7. Brad Biggs is also reporting the same thing that this could be wrapped up tomorrow. This would be a huge hire for such a young guy. Wonder if donatel would want to return then as well to continue the good work he's done
  8. Schefter is reporting that Bradley is going back to San Diego. So that's another opportunity gone
  9. I would think Fangio would want to have something locked down somewhere soon. So with that in mind let's cheer for NE to win this weekend. Fangio can't go anywhere if Patricia isn't allowed anywhere till after they are done with playoffs
  10. I thought I heard San Fran already has a DC
  11. Just saw on Twitter I think it was Brad Biggs say that the Packers are signing Mike Pettine to be there DC which would eliminate 1 more vacancy.
  12. Good find. I love his back story of risking everything like that. I love risk takers that are all in because when they take a risk they give 110% to ensure they succeed and when they do they pay out of massive. Hoping for the best here with both the HC and GM big risk takers
  13. Yeah I really am starting to get behind this and for once this whole thing is so unlike the bears. Typically HCs for us have been older defensive types who seemed past there prime. And this is a young very energetic guy who takes full responsibility for his failure and seems eager to learn from them. This also doesn't hit me as a Ted Phillips and George McCaskey type hire. Thought it was interesting hearing pace say that dinner was just himself, nagy and there wives. More intimate and relaxing I'd think and much easier to groom a type of relationship we need to see between HC and GM. Now let's hope pace can go out and get nagy the type of playmakers that can allow trubisky to really take off
  14. Nagy said he had his interview with bears Sunday morning then immediately after us he interviewed with colts and as soon as he finished up there pace called to go to dinner. Tells you that pace really wanted this guy. What a long day that would have been for Nagy
  15. I agree with you. I'm not a fan of the 3-4 but then again any scheme can succeed. With that said 3 yrs ago we made the switch to 3-4 and basically had to redo the entire defensive roster and we are just now starting to see that pay off. We can't switch schemes again because I'd be afraid of starting completely all over again with delays our competitive window
  16. Those reports have been circulating since before they fired there DC. I hope he returns but for arguments sake let's say he leaves what did everyone think of someone like gus Bradley. He's had success as s DC in the past and does use the 3-4
  17. Somebody on the score today was talking about how the hiring made perfect sense because Nagy is almost a spitting image of pace. Both are inexperienced young and many think up and coming. And this lines up perfectly with trubisky who is also young and up and coming
  18. I obviously didn't count him and that's because he failed as an NFL HC. Can't be anymore successful in the college ranks so I will give him credit for that and he's always turning out stand out pros when his boys get drafted. Hard to argue that part
  19. Completely agree about the belicheck tree. I can't think of any of his assistant that have done well
  20. Absolutely. I think I heard our QB coach will be retained to keep some continuity with trubisky
  21. That speaks highly considering 7 current HCs around there league have come from the Reid tree
  22. Id get super excited on that threesome. But would defilippo agree to come here as OC but not call plays as it sounds like Nagy will call plays. Absolutely agree though Fangio. Need to do whatever it takes to get him to stay. Make him highest paid assistant
  23. Yes Reid has basically always called the plays. He gave it up a couple yrs ago and let pederson call plays and then pederson took the Philly job and reid took over play calling and promoted Nagy to OC. Then after there funk mid season he gave play calling to Nagy and offense took off. It's a very bold move. High risk IMO. I'm not going to jump to much into 1 half of football this weekend. It's interesting for sure.
  24. Yes he's been the OC but didn't call plays until the final 5 games this yr which is TDs point. Valid point as well. From what I've seen he runs the west coast that Reid runs but it's a bit more aggressive than a typical WCO
