I certainly wouldn't look to cut him quite yet

Hopefully he can get all these injuries healed up and he can actually get on the field at 100% next season
  3. When I was reading the athletic today I found a very interesting statistic. Since fox arrived the team has committed at least 10 penalties (accepted that is) a whopping 9 times. Which is equal to 20% of his tenure here. In comparison to lovie he was still high during his time here but it was down around 15% of all games. We are seeing a trend during his tenure as coach. Now this can also be blamed on the gm for not providing the players and he's been here the same amount of time so it goes on both. Just a really ugly stat all together of how undisciplined this team is each and every week. There is nothing consistent about this team except bad undisciplined play
  4. This is what frustrates me the most about the play calling. If we are in shotgun we are throwing the ball 90% of the time and when we are under center it's almost guaranteed we are running the ball. We need to be more creative than that. Any defense can make adjustments at the line when they see our formation they know what we are doing. We are 14 games into the season and I don't think we have established an identity yet. That also is on the coaches. We have to get our top players the ball. It's that simple
  5. Agreed. They have played really well all season and keenum has played way above expectations. Good for them. I like watching good football and well our team hasn't really played good at all this yr
  6. The injuries are a killer. Making it harder and harder for me to watch. I watched the 2nd and 3rd quarters as I was out of town with the fiancee. How in the world trubisky has any confidence in that oline is beyond me with everyone getting hurt and constant moving around I can't even keep track of who is playing where anymore. The penalties just show how badly coached these players are. It's straight indictment on the coaches. The play calling was ridiculous again. Especially not going for it on that 4th and 6 inches. The other thing is where in the world is inman. 2 straight games and he's not even heard of now. It's nice to see wright finally catching some confidence with trubisky
  7. We could gain a spot from 49ers. They haven't lost some inserting grappolo
  8. Your absolutely right. That defense is a joke and even before Rodgers went down everyone was talking about that oline. I was watching a game with the fiancee (who's a packers fan) and she even said then Rodgers won't make it half the year. Just a couple weeks later he went down.
  9. QB makes a huge difference. In NE they suffer a ton of injuries and to key guys like gronk and amendola but the offense doesn't seem to suffer even though they have never had much of a running game. But as long as Brady is back there all is good. He turns mediocre guys into pretty solid guys. We saw it all the time with Peyton Manning as well. Even Favre did it all the time. Having that position hides so many issues
  10. The last 3 yrs really stick out of all 5 you posted. Any coincidence that's exactly when the current coaching staff took over. They come in and it got worse
  11. In order to be a good playoff team you need to win games your supposed to win. And the fact is we haven't won a single game we were supposed to. It's not so much about what Vegas thinks
  12. Good question. Honestly I'm not opposed to that. Although I'd tie some of the money up in bonuses in the form of games started. As his health does seem to be the only thing holding him back from being pro bowl level production
  13. I really hope he gets into the hall. Unfortunately they don't like putting in special teams guys. But boy was he a real treat to watch. We always felt we could come back as long as he was back there returning kicks
  14. If we can see something similar next week but maybe the offense cuts down on the penalties. I think I read that the oline in particular had 4 or 5 penalties alone last week. To me that was biggest problem. But does seem like there is hope at least
  15. Considering sitton is still pretty good and we don't have salary cap problems I say no to a guard. I'd rather get someone else like 1 of the wideouts or tackles
  16. His 3rd downs have given me a lot of hope. Especially his accuracy the past 2 games. Probably I've witnessed this season is that we are paying behind the sticks so much with alot of things going wrong in 1st and 2nd leaving trubisky and the offense in 3rd and a mile so when trubisky completes a pass for 10 or 15 it goes for naught because it's 3rd and 20. It does feel that trubisky is getting more and more comfortable with the offense and his receivers and there seems to be a special relationship between trubisky and whitehair as the season has progressed. Whitehair isn't making nearly as many mistakes now so I definitely think it's time to open things up and play a little more outside the box like in Cincy. That defense had no clue what we were going to do which helped open up the receivers
  17. I honestly don't think it's crazy talk for them. We've all seen them so dumber stuff
  18. You make a good point about finishing on an upswing and I would add that by winning out we would be in a position to still take 1 of the to receivers without considering a reach or without hoping we can find a willing trade partner. Regarding Adams I don't believe he's a #1. But I do think he's very good #2. In GB he plays more of the slot receiver and kills LB's but what I love is that on broken plays you see him break off his route and finds a way to get open. He's extremely dangerous that way especially with a QB like Rodgers
  19. The other funny part is every yr the majority of us say we should "trade down it's a no brainer" but if I'm not mistaken lately we have traded up more times that standing still or trading back in the 1st Rd. In later rds I think we've traded back more times.
  20. I get that it's part of the trade. I'm sorry but how do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt what Cleveland was going to do. All kinds of analyst have said this and that about Cleveland but over the past 10+ yes Cleveland has taught me 1 thing. They are unpredictable in the best of situations. The simple fact is you don't actually know what any team was going to do unless your in that's teams war room. Now I take it your not in there war room either. Which means we are all just guessing to best of our knowledge. While facts remain that if trubisky becomes that franchise guy it was very much worth that trade cost. If trubisky becomes elite I would have given up more and still been happy. How long have we been starving for a franchise QB? Most of all of our lives. Sad but true. If he didn't pan it then we can all question it. Overall I'm not a big pace fan but in this case I applaud him for having the cahones to move up to guarantee he gets his guy. Not time will tell if it works out and I'm for one excited because I like what I'm seeing from trubisky
  21. To many of these mock drafts I see you and others put together leaves so many questions and hopes everything goes absolutely perfectly. And we know for a fact that never happens. Like here with yours how many trades does this have. I've seen some where we draft 12 guys. Like honestly get real for a minute. That will never happen. I'm all for dreaming but can we at least live in reality a little
  22. Are we seriously still arguing about this some 7 months later. All of this is simple. If trubisky pans out and becomes the franchise QB that pace envisioned it was a fantastic move. If trubisky doesn't pan out then pace will be heavily criticized. Will lose his job likely to never become a gm again. Well unless Cleveland calls lol
  23. Cooper needs to be gone. Depending on how much amuk and fuller are asking for I would want to bring them both back
