  1. No way is Washington moving up. Schefter reported last night that Smith and Wash agreed to a 4 yr extension worth $94M with $71M of it guaranteed. Of course this all could still fall apart as nothing can be completed officially until the new league yr starts March 14
  2. I'm guessing a lot of ppl saw something like this happening. Everyone knew that cousin's was leaving. No way they were going to tag him for a 3rd time. And I think most figured Smith was going to be traded. I didn't think Smith would go to wash especially with Smith getting the contract extension at the figures that are being reported
  3. Don't get me wrong I'm not doubting his talent to play at the next level. He has such a golden arm it makes everyone fall in love with him. I'm mainly questioning his accuracy. Which from what I'm hearing so Is everyone else. He definitely needs to be groomed a lot to learn when he needs to display touch and when to rifle it in there
  4. Yup we've seen this so often. For whatever reason they don't do much in college but then the light goes on in the NFL. I'd love for us to be able to develop that for once
  5. I honestly don't get the love for Allen. He's got an absolute cannon for an arm but when watching him it's like he's tries to throw everything through a damn wall causing him to be extremely inaccurate. Inaccuracies dogged him throughout college and continued into the senior bowl. Do I dare compare his skill set to that is a Cutler
  6. I love what I'm hearing about Davenport. Absolutely working over everyone down there in 1 on 1. I've been hearing really good things about Kevin where's brother as well. Though I don't know where he is projected to go. Just know that he's a safety.
  7. His 40 time at the combine isn't his true speed as I'm sure you know this. I'd rather look at his game tape to determine can he create separation with his route running and how his footwork is in and out of his cuts. That tells you a lot more than a 40 time where he runs it straight line speed no defenders and in his underwear. All of which never happens in game. We've seen many through the years who aren't fast in the 40 but come game day he's faster than you expect and also vice versa how many super fast guys in the 40s don't make it in the NFL for one reason or another. That there tape doesn't match up
  8. How about Tyrell Crosby. OT from Oregon so helfrich knows him. Ideal size at 6'5 with over 34" arms. I've seen some of his tape from Senior bowl week. Seems to really get after it
  9. So his entire draft stock is going to be based on how he runs in his underwear? If that's true I want no part of him. Those guys typically don't last in the NFL long. I don't pay much attention to the combine because it's basically the underwear Olympics. Id much rather look at the senior bowl and the 1 on 1's. Although it's only the seniors. So other than that I'd rather look at there tape. I'm in the camp that the tape don't lie
  10. I don't know how much is to blame on the coaches but after so many injuries and then according to pace they made changes to scheduling etc and we still have an incredible number of injuries. Somebody did the math and come up with 10 starters 6 off them were defensive finished the year on IR. Had the 2nd most games missed just behind the Lions with something like 530 missed games. Something had to give. We tried schedules and stuff and that didn't work. Therefore coaches had to be next. Hopefully we can become somewhat healthy starting next yr
  11. Good. Sounds like they are redoing that whole department. Maybe we can be relatively healthy next yr
  12. Does anybody have info about Kevin White's brother. I heard he's at the senior bowl and weighed in at 6'2 and 216 lbs. For a safety that's a big boy
  13. Nicely put. I completely understand where your coming from with that analogy. Honestly I don't care if we "reach" for a player. Only thing that matters is that we knock it out of the park. My thinking recently has changed from getting 1 of those guys to getting a couple guys in FA then take a defensive stud with our 1st pick and then look at a WR in the 2nd. Depending on what happens with resigning our corners I'm sort of leaning towards a mincah Fitzpatrick with that pick
  14. I love both Ridley and Sutton but I think they are more the target in a trade down scenario. I'm thinking around pick 15
  15. Crazy alright. Just curious how you would make things work though with Howard and Cohen? Would you want to try and trade Howard?
  16. I don't think Gentry has more than a very slim chance unless he drastically improves his ability to create separation. When I watched him he was constantly blanketed and could never get open. Unless that happens he's got chance
  17. Meredith and white are guaranteed to return. So going off what you just said trubisky will start next yr by throwing to virtually brand new receivers since Meredith had been hurt all yr prior to trubisky becoming the starter and well nobody knows anything about white really
  18. When exactly did trubisky work with Meredith in games. Meredith got hurt during preseason at which point trubisky was still the 3rd QB. And only had inman for half the yr. And on a good squad inman is WR4/5.
  19. Brad Biggs just said that it appears Dave ragone will remain as the QB coach
  20. If it comes down to either or with Landry and Robinson I go Landry because of Robinson injury history. I think most agree with going after Landry. The question is going to be $. He's wanting davante Adams type deal. How many would be willing to go there.
  21. Being an Irish fan I'd love to see Nelson but something tells me he goes before our pick at 8
  22. I don't want Bellamy on the team in any capacity. I think we've all seen enough of him and his drops. I'd love to get both Robinson and Landry but I heard that Landry is looking for the same type of deal that Adams just signed with GB and I don't see us going there
  23. Matt Miller's latest mock draft assuming no trades has us taking Conner Williams at #8 and then in the 2nd Rd going with the WR from Maryland DJ Moore. He's citing that as much as WR is the best need this off-season none of them are worthy of that #8 pick but says Williams is a natural LT but could transition over to RT or I wonder if you keep Williams at LT but move Leno over the right. Anyone have thoughts on this
