Interesting Quote from Loggains on Wideouts
bowlingtwig replied to DABEARSDABOMB's topic in Bearstalk
It definitely doesn't help but trubisky was clearly off as well. His mechanics were shit this past week. I can't count how many times he hurried it when he didn't need to. Or how many times he didn't set his feet or even a couple of times you can clearly see his body completely fall off to 1 side while trying to throw causing the throw to be off. That happened on at least 1 of the picks. Can't blame the mechanics on the receivers. And while I think hes done well considering the situation he has a lot to work on and I think he can get there. I won't hide from the fact we have the worst receiving corps I've ever seen in all my years of watching The NFL. Not just in our history. I can't think of a worst group overall -
Totally sucks. I was hoping like hell white could at least get back out there to try and get a bromance going with trubisky

I'd totally love David shaw. I think he could be a really good fit for us. I honestly don't have any idea who the top guys are or anything. But with that said I don't to much if the guy is offensive or defensive type guy. Just if he's defense he needs to make damn sure he brings in an OC that can resonate with trubisky and preferably someone who has called plays at some point and I would prefer if we kept a 3-4 defense for simple fact that's the style of players we have in now. If we go changing that as well we might as well be starting the rebuild completely over again

Exactly. Everything is centered around trubisky. My biggest problem with fox is often we get thumped. I saw a list on Twitter of comparing every HC we've had some Lovie was let go and it was centered around how often they lose by 20 or more pts. With fox that number is around 20% if the time. The highest by a large margin over every one else. Trestman was really high as well but around 13% while everyone else was less than 10. So fox's teams here are getting thumped in a greater % of the time and the fact the he has never won a game here that he was supposed to win is very glaring. In 3 yrs here what's his greatest win. 2015 against GB? And if I'm not mistaken that was the game Rodgers got hurt early in the game. This yr against the Steelers? Not much of a resume. His resume is what got him the job here but I'm not keeping someone around based on what they did prior to here. In this business it's all about what have you done for me lately. So I ask everyone what has fox done for us since he's arrived to justify us keeping him around even longer? I'm sick of hearing about what he did in Carolina or Denver. He's been here 3 years. Which is long enough to evaluate him

That last sentence is what I'm afraid of. We've put in all this work towards a 3-4 to go back to a 4-3 would really suck and the defense as a whole world be completely blown up again. I'm ok with moving on from Fangio although I wish he could stay but more important the next DC runs something in the 3-4 tree

This is just horrendous. All these stupid penalties are just killing us. We can't afford any mistakes and here we are making way to many mistakes
-
And does anyone still want to give fuller and long term deal. He looks completely lost out there and has a problem with staying on 2 feet
-
The stat of the game is 1st downs. Philly has 16 we have 0
-
I've seen many who say Ridley goes mid 1st. I've heard alot about key but haven't seen him play
-
I questioned the arguayo move from the get go and it had everything to do with picking up his guaranteed money instead of just waiting til he was cut to bring him for a tryout. Overall I don't worry about it because it's not like we are hurting financially

Where's my buddy connerbear. He's going to be all heartbroken lol. Figures the 1 game I saw in person of Barth was the best game of his career. Funny how that works out
-
Well they did have Santos in for a tryout this week I wonder if the bears move on now
-
Yeah I agree. I'm really proud to see the development of Trubisky. I picked up his jersey last week at the game. Now I can't wait to see him turn in even better performances
-
Great job by trubisky to put us in a position to tie it up. It definitely sucks that Barth who was very good last week couldn't keep it going. Another game we "should" have won. Spielman was a great analyst today pointed out how we are a team full of"should" players. Meaning our players are coming very close to making big plays that sl"should" be made. Unfortunately they haven't learned how to those plays into made plays. Seeing big time improvement though from trubisky and loggains found away to get Cohen into the game unlike last week.

Just horrible luck with the draft picks keep going down
-
Your right. I'm not opposed to the idea of bringing in a new coaching staff next yr

The defense seems to really suck when trevethan is out is all I'm saying. I don't know if it's just a coincidence or not. Just seems odd. Maybe it's because he's the Captain in charge of getting the guys lined up. When he's out it's Jones and though he's playing well this yr I don't think that's a good situation for him to be in
-
The D doesn't look good when trevethan is out. It's like the rest of the D forgets to play sound defense. But have to say this is not the same team I witnessed in person last week. Which begs the question why want this team prepared to play last week but they were this week
-
Big run by Howard but give the boys up front a pat on the back. Howard had 5-10 yard gain before he even reached the new line they created. Ending of course in Shaheen. Good play calling so far
-
Good looking opening drive there by trubisky. Though he's got to be hitting himself for completely missing Cunningham there at the end. But Cunningham needs to run that 1 more yard.
-
Oh wait now I just heard fournette is suspended by the team. I'm just so screwed
-
Idk since he came back from injury he doesn't seem like the same person to me.
-
Literally half my team is injured and because the league is so extremely deep from a draft it's impossible to get anything in FA. This week alone I've lost Garcon, Crowder and Miller. We start 2 QBs with possibility of starting 3 so you can forget getting anything

I'd love to see Santos brought in
