Awesome find. Thanks for sharing

If he gets an extension I'll puke. He's got 2 more yrs on his current contract which is enough time to determine if we are at least headed in the right direction
-
Although I'm not the biggest fan of pace I will say that he hasn't hamstrung the team with bad contracts. Almost all of the deals have been 1 and 2 yr prove it type deals. The worst contract is that of Glennon but even that was very heavily on the 1st yr that he can be cut without to much damage at all.
-
We would 1st have to trust that the coaches will play the guys otherwise we won't actually know anything at all. Just like several others. Wouldn't it be a perfect time to see what Shaheen could do yet he can't even get on the field.
-
Very true. Since he left we have continued to be among the most injured teams. Hard to think it's just coincidence at this point
-
You know I completely forgot we changed oline coaches. That definitely could have affected at least the step backwards from whitehair. I'm not sure that pace would draft a new LT just 1 yr after giving Leno that extension. This is 1 pace missed on. Never should have extended him. On paper I love the inside of our line. Unfortunately for 2 yrs now we have loved the inside but those guys can't stay healthy. Especially long and sitton. At this point I'm starting to wonder if long is injury prone. I sure hope we can get the line right especially on the health department. We will never know about them if they can't become available on game day.
-
What we need is for pace to find some true playmakers regardless of what side of the ball it is. Both sides are void of them. We need some serious luck to find us for damn sure. I am so lost right now with this team is hard to find some hope. Pace brings in guys who "might" be diamonds in the rough but coaching staff doesn't use them. Sure would like to know why an Adam Shaheen can't even find the damn field. Is the staff just not like him at all? Really depressing for sure
-
Yes I totally get the luck portion. But usually it's more random but we are talking at least 2 straight yrs and alot of it is the soft tissue injuries. Broken bones and such is just bad luck. To me this doesn't feel like just bad luck. I feel there is something more than just that. But yes some of it is definitely bad luck
-
It could be. My brain doesn't like to think that far back this early
-
The problem from what I'm seeing is the coaching staff especially the play calling is way too safe and stale and very predictable. Which doesn't allow him to try and make things happen.
-
2 straight yrs now of a long list of injuries. I know fox and company said they were going to look into it. If they did anything it obviously didn't work
-
Absolutely. I think he is the biggest problem we have.
-
No WR's? They got wideouts. That's not the problem. The problem is there top 3 guys all got hurt the same game. Other than that your spot on. That line has been horrendous for awhile now and they fail to do anything about it
-
I don't think fox is the root of all our problems however the coaching staff is without question a major problem which is why they must go. Ive got my own reservations about pace I'm just not sure we are best served by blowing everything completely up all again. With things as bad as they are I can't justify bringing everyone back. The easiest thing to do is start with the coaching staff because they are a huge problem. And like you said pace will then own it completely starting next yr and hopefully he gets it right otherwise we will stuck with blowing it all up again and at that point we might as well be the browns. Pace needs to make this next draft absolutely count and he needs to bring in a coaching staff that isn't afraid to start younger players

Let's not forget Gould was coming off a disappointing yr including a game against SF where he missed 2 kicks including a potential game winning chip shot and then last yr in the preseason he wasn't very good either. So combination of him not producing like he once did and his contract made him expendable. Granted hindsight is 20-20 and the move looks attrocious. I don't blame the staff for letting him go at the time however with that said you simply can't allow a kicker to hurt you almost every game and then continue to stick with it until it's too late like we did with Barth. Moving on from Gould is 1 thing but sticking with Barth for 1 1/2 yrs missing kicks pretty much every other week is simply inexcusable

Here are a few things to keep in mind this week. Howard has averaged 4.2 yds per attempt and San Francisco came in to the game ranked 30th against the rush. Conventional wisdom says the game should have been heavy dose of Howard. Instead he got 13 carries. We had 1st and 10 a total of 14 times this game. On 9 of those plays we ran the ball and of those 9 times Howard ran it 7 times to the left side. We had 37 offensive snaps and 22 times we were in shotgun formation. Of those 22 snaps trubisky dropped back to pass 18 times. Any one want to talk predictable? Another issue was Chris prosinski was signed this past week when amos went down. He was out of football since we cut him during preseason with an injury settlement. Significance with this is that not only did he play but he started and played every defensive snap in the game. How does a guy literally off the street start and play every snap over a 2nd yr 4th rd guy who's been here the entire time? Further more josh bellamy played 30 of 37 snaps yesterday. Just a reminder he was involved in the verbal altercation with McBride that got McBride cut. Want to talk about accountability? These are just a number of things that gets to me and all this stuff falls directly on the coaching staff
-
I put alot of the blame on coaching. Especially the offensively play calling which is stunting trubisky. Now the last I checked the play calling and in game strategies and game plans falls specifically on the coaches. The same coaches who claim that we need to see what certain players can provide but then choose not to play those guys. Trubisky has twice now called this out specifically in regards to Cohen who barely even plays but when he does he produces. Now how in the world is this Pace's fault. He went out and got guys who "might" be able to produce unfortunately we don't know if they can because the coaches don't play them. I totally get what fox has done in the past and that if truly phenomenal what he's done but Answer me this what exactly has he done since arriving at halas hall. I certainly can't get behind the idea of firing the gm and not the coach when it wasn't even there GM's call to bring in the HC. Unfortunately we can't do anything conventional around here. We fired trestman after just 13 wins in 2 yrs. We'll Fox has been here for almost 3 yrs now and has a grand total of 12 wins. The last yr under trestman the team quit and it was evidenced by blow outs. Under fox we have gotten blown out at a greater percentage. Yet your idea is to keep it the same or fire pace? That's very scary. What would it take for you to get behind the idea of firing fox?
-
The giants just named Ernie accorsi a consultant to find there next gm/hc. Lol that went oh so good for us
-
At this point I wouldn't even say we are likely to beat browns. It's not like we've beaten any team we are favored against in 3 yrs
-
Yeah prosinski was out of football and he started this week. That should never happen
-
Yup I agree. It's sad but I honestly don't think our job is that attractive any more. With the 3 coaches in 5 yrs. Haven't done anything in close to 10 yrs now. It's not like you can even look at any position outside of RB and say we are set
-
I don't like the idea of firing fox right now but I completely agree with you about loggains. I saw a stat earlier that since 1969 our franchise has run 39 or less plays on offense just twice. Shocker it happened yesterday and I want to say the Carolina game. Point is in 48 years it's happened only twice and both times it happened with this coaching staff
-
I honestly think he's safe for now. While the misses he's had in FA are bad none of them will hamstring us. He does deserve the chance to hire his own coach
-
Cooper's role has been trending down for awhile. Not surprised there. However Wheaton only getting 1 snap and that was on the 1 play inman had to come off to get looked at Is nuts considering how bad the other receivers are especially Bellamy. But Shaheen is the biggest question mark in my mind. Just a couple weeks ago I remember the coaches saying that it was time to see more of him and yet every week he gets out snapped by Daniel brown and Dion Sims and Sims has been a huge disappointment. How are we ever going to know if these guys can play if they aren't even getting the chance to
-
Yeah im not a Carmichael fan. I think he's the beneficiary of Brees and payton
