  1. I'm of the opinion that no play on the field should ever result in a monetary fine. EVER. Plays on the field should be penalized in three ways and only three ways. 1.) Yardage - 15 yards for a personal foul 2.) Being thrown out of the game 3.) Suspended Asking these guys for $5k or whatever is absolutely meaningless.
  2. Why don't you repeat yourself some more. Jeez! You're totally wrong. Moose wasn't a great signing but we was nowhere near a bust either. If you could extract your head from your ass for 5 minutes and read all the comments from everyone else, you'd see that.
  3. I rarely defend Terra but while it isn't really that funny a joke, there's nothing here to give him a hard time about either. I give him credit for finding the picture!
  4. I like your list a lot! I laughed that 90% of it seemed to be from during the Wanny era. Damn I'm glad he's gone.
  5. I've always considered you uninformed. Moose was a good signing at the time, petered out a little faster than anyone hoped, and was a victim of the Rex yo yo. If we had the 2005 Moose on this team, this year, with Cutler, he'd produce 90 catches. I don't know if that means he was a bad signing or not. Water under the bridge and not worth the brain damage. Looking back on it, Moose was a disappointment. Just not sure that was Moose or if he'd have met expectation if Rex would've continued to grow as expected.

  7. Guys, just be happy with the win and move on.
  8. The family that bowls together apparently also has other leasure time hobbies! Congrats!
  9. I agree 110%. I firmly place the blame on Turner and to a certain extent Lovie because it's his team. The other alternative is to believe Cutler sucks and I'm not willing to believe that based on his prior performances. Turner is capable of turning a silk purse into a sow's ear. If this continues, he needs to go. And fast!
  10. Amen on this one. He threw 4 picks and he very easily could've thrown 6 or 7. That ain't all the WR's.
  11. Bye the way, Lucky, I was basically agreeing with you but it didn't come across that way. I was just trying to make your points with a little more vinegar.
  12. How about holding him and the coaching staff accountable, for starters. It's always, "Dang, we could've beat the Texans and we'd be in the playoffs. Awe shucks. That Lovie is sure a nice guy." Bullshit.
  13. Who says so? The "experts". Based on what? Rodgers didn't suck in the preseason. They were 6-10 last year when the games counted. They have great receivers but a shit RB and a butcher at one tackle position who Ogun abused all night long. Ogun isn't that good and the Packers aren't a special team. In our division, only the Vikings look that solid to me at this point and they've only proven it against the Clowns. Turner has a few more games before I outright call for his head. His game plan in the first half was absolute shit. Our WR's are crap and we knew that going into the season. But it always takes Lovie and JA a few catastrophies before they get their heads out of their asses. This year, with a franchise QB, they'll extract their head from said asses just in time for us to finish 8-8. Swell job boys! Just enough to keep the sheep satisfied. Yeah, I'm pissed we lost to the Packers in a game we damn well should've won. I'm sick of losing games we should win. The NFL is basically made up of 4 solid teams and a bunch of mediocrity. I'm sick of being one of those teams. To get out of that mix, you need to win road games against your rivals when you have them on the ropes!
  14. OMG! So what! So he learned something! Shouldn't he have learned that already from coaching? Or perhaps common sense? Greg Olsen learned something from his two fumble game last year too. Don't fumble. Too late though, he'd already cost us a game in a season in which we missed the playoffs by one win. I agree 100% but think a better, more savvy QB, will make him look better at this.
  15. I agree 100%. What were they running on scout team this week? Did they not expect to see what they saw? They sure seem to have been able to adjust at half time! Why not sooner? Or better yet, why not arrive at the stadium with an actual plan? Cutler looked like a rookie out there.
  16. You know, I need to hear more about this before I go off here... But since when does a wrist injury end your season? Broken bones can heal in a month and a half and you can play through it with pain killers and a big old club on your arm! He's a LB, not a RB. He should be able to play through this with a few weeks off. But, like I said, I need to hear more. I suppose there could be extensive damage in there and they need to reconstruct his whole wrist. This D isn't the same without him.

  18. She looked REALLY good last night. Getting better with age...
  19. Cutler may have had opening night gitters but I think he the coaching staff failed to prepare him for the 3/4 defense. He looked bewildered. Lovie's two challenges were ridiculous. The fake punt was a player mistake but this is a vet of what, 15 years? They put that quick snap in there but apparently they never coached him on when not to use it. The Packers 12 man was on the sideline for a few seconds before that snap. Halftime adjustments were just fine. With Urlacher out I expected to lose by 21. We were winning until a minute left. But why in the world aren't we READY for the team we play in game one this year? We were ready for the Colts last season! And Tillman played and was just fine, as I predicted. Vasher sucks. We play a much better team next week, even without Troy out there. And we're already banged up. If this offense can't get it's shit together in the FIRST half of a game, damn quick, and if this defense can't close out a game with a win (remind anyone of last season?) then the coaches ALL need to be fired. And starting with Ron Turner would make me happy. I hate losing to the Packers and I really hate it when we had so many chances to score in the first half and just pissed them all away. Fricken incredible.
  20. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/...any-other-team/ I think we're going to see if there's a need exposed tomorrow night (WR, DB, etc) and then we're going to start using it to extend our guys. Thoughts?
  21. The trade isn't out of balance.
