  1. Ridley will either end up in Atlanta with his brother or Buffalo and do well.
  2. Can’t say this is a surprise. Still very unfortunate.
  3. Bears sign yet another speedy WR. Some speculate this spells the end of Wims’ Bears tenure. Doesn't really help the oline.
  4. I'm with you. I think the only reason Graham is mentioned is due to his salary with relative low cap hit if released (or so I understand). But with his productivity last year, it makes little sense to get rid of him especially if you compare him to players like Foles. I'm one who thinks Danny T still has something to offer but could see them releasing him in a scenario where they need to get another OT especially given Ogletree is doing as well as he is and doesn't cost all that much. This article highlights a few other players that really shouldn't be on the roster for much longer; Nall, Wims and Austin Calitro among them. https://dawindycity.com/2021/08/18/chicago-bears-2021-players-next-roster-cuts/
  5. Yeah, Quinn appears to be a shell of his former self. And as much a fan as I am of Vildor, he had a bad day today. Maybe Trufant or Burns should get some time there? I know that not much can really be measured on preseason other than what you said (matchup analysis). Still would’ve liked to see some sustained drives and tackling.
  6. Still trying to sort out what we saw. Is this Trubisky playing for a competent play caller and looking the part? Or is our defense (mostly starters for much of the first few plays) really that bad? Or a combination of them both? On the other side both Dalton, Fields and really the whole offense struggled. Hmm… what could it be?
  7. It’s like you scripted him to do what he did. Lol. Nice play by Dalton and Adams (who?). To close out the last series. 70 yd TD.
  8. I was thinking Keith “Tractor” Traylor but I think Ted was bigger.
  9. Some news on Fields. Appears he was out yesterday nursing a minor ‘groin injury’. He’s returned today. But during a recent practice where he struggled, he refused to leave until he had run through the plays a bit more. Gotta love his dedication to hard work. https://www.sportsmockery.com/chicago-bears/justin-fields-refused-to-leave-the-field-after-rough-practice/
  10. Jason Peters has arrived.
  11. Aaron Lemming reports that both Peters and Larry Borom will be at practice today. And this…
  12. For what it’s worth, I’m hoping little Mack is able to make the team again. If not the core 53 then the practice squad.
  13. …and if you watch some of the other rookie QB highlights from this last weekend, he easily outperformed all of them. Or at least most (I didn’t see Mac Jones’ debut and heard he did well). But without defending my bias, he legitimately did make the game look much more comfortable for him than did his peers. A lot of the other guys were doing simple ‘football 101’ plays where Fields looked ready to move to the next level halfway through his game.
  14. Goldman’s back. Wonder if Tongas performance motivated him? Lol
  15. This echoes of Kevin White. https://nflspinzone.com/2021/08/12/chicago-bears-teven-jenkins-injury-downplayed-concerns/
  16. My wife was unnerved by how lax he was during the game. Had to tell her that’s kinda the way he is. Never let the game get to him. Granted it was a preseason game against a team he’d been practicing against all week. But he’s ‘been there done that’ in the pressure cooker games of college. I agree with you; he’ll adjust the more time he gets.
  17. I was actually gonna pan his performance too but he did well at the end of the half. As the guys on the halftime show pointed out, things seemed to slow down for him. He’s not really playing with the starting offense (Robinson, Graham and Montgomery out) and the Oline is still in flux. He does seem poised and overall does seem to look over the field a lot better than Trubiksy ever did. …and he comes out and scores his first TD with the first series of the second half. Much better. …and scores again with his second series of the half. He’ll do fine.
  18. Jones is probably the better speed matchup opposite Smith but I see him as Smiths backup. As it stands I hope Ogletree and Jones stay on as the backups.
  19. Like what I saw early on for sure. Tonga seems to be a solid add as well.
  20. The game is about to start on NFL Network if you haven’t already seen. 0900 local 1300 EST.
