  1. Can Nagy, make Lazor interim HC and elevate DeFlip to O coordinator.
  2. I think ‘yes’. He would’ve been killed a few times but effective enough to get passes off and slow the rush. Heck I almost miss seeing Dalton back there.
  3. Have to think DeFlip or Lazor could do a better job at this point. To Desai’s credit, the defense looked a lot better this week. They just ran out of juice having to try and carry the team all game. You could see it on everyone’s faces as the game wound down. This is not a bad team, it’s a horribly coached team.
  4. I’m done watching Nagy screw this team up. Time to have someone call the plays that knows what they’re doing.
  5. Welcome back Mario! Too bad Quinn missed two chances at a sack the play before.
  6. And meanwhile, Clowney and Garrett causing problems. Peters and former 1st round pick Ifedi looking like J’Marcus Webb. .
  7. And they continue that “look”. Crap between the 20s but stiffen up near the red zone. Forces Cleveland to kick a 57 yd FG. Meanwhile Mack is out with a “foot injury”. Probably time to call Snowden up from PS.
  8. Yeah saw that too. Monty didn’t do Peters solid. No way the defender was getting around Peters to the outside. Lol.
  9. Agreed. Especially given how ticky tack that Tonga call was. When I first saw Fields was tapped I wasn’t sure.
  10. Would you look at that!!! Two weeks in a row and Robert Quinn comes through with another sack!!! Da Bears!!!
  11. See that Goldman is out again… Goldman hasn’t played a snap since 2019. DT Margus Hunt was brought up from the PS to fill the vacancy. Last week my not knowing how the Bears would play, played to my favor. I’ll go with the same blind ambition and suggest the Bears will win, 26-17. Don’t know why or how.
  12. Hell, you don't have to go beyond one game to see that roller-coaster effect. Last week (aside from the first TD score) our team put out relative garbage for most of the first half. Then the defense went off and had 4 turnovers (1 fumble recovery and three INTs) and a sack or two. But then late in the game the defense went to sleep and allowed Cincy to rally back within 3 pts. Thank gosh the clock ran out when it did. We saw it the week before when both Jackson and Gipson didn't down the receiver when they passed him while on the ground. Who then promptly stood up and scored. That's definitely a Nagy/Desai issue with lack of discipline to keep the pressure up on both sides of the ball for the full 60 minutes.
  13. Overall, this is good news. In watching last week, Peters still struggled and appears to be still working towards "game shape" but agree that having him make it through the whole game is encouraging. For what its worth, Wilkerson (who was the #3 during the LAR game) did well enough to not contribute to a sack until late in the game. When I say that I mean specifically Donald. He didn't get to the QB until late in the game. Cincy wasn't nearly as much a challenge although they still did get through from time to time. Cleveland has Clowney and the formidable Myles Garrett coming off the edges from a 4-3 base so that will definitely be a test for the O-line as a whole.
  14. And the Colts are in the market with Wentz and his weak ankles.
  15. Ha, of course it was about game one or two last year where he got his first sack … then pretty much nothing after that. Hope that to not be the case this year.
  16. Usually you provide more statistical info to support your claim (regarding Dalton's check downs). Saying '75% of the time' he does that seems a bit high. Just my watching the last game showed him throw a fair number of 10 yard plus throws. One 30 yard pass to Goodwin was pretty much on target and although ruled incomplete was given to them based on the DPI (push out of bounds) that resulted. Unless of course you're talking about Dalton since game one or in his career. I was just talking more about this last game. Agree that Nagy didn't make any adjustments. You could tell Fields isn't used to being a pocket passer and Nagy should have adjusted the game play more to his talents. He basically stuck Fields in where Dalton would have been had he still been playing. We saw the same thing with Trubisky. I want to say it wasn't until year two that we saw Mitch roll out more than he did the year before.
  17. Yeah you can see the game is slower to Dalton. Fields will improve but some of what he was doing today made it obvious he’s still a rookie. There were at least two dropped balls (one by ARob for a TD) that coulda helped get Justin that more confident.
  18. And within two series get really sloppy and scored on twice. -sheesh-
  19. And the D suddenly comes alive. Back to back turnovers. One for a TD. Mark Sanchez: “He’s (Burrow) not afraid to throw another INT”. Burrow: “Hold my beer”. (yea I’m overusing that phrase -seemed appropriate).
