Disagree that Webb is pretty bad. I would place him at slightly below average and rising. Again, he won the position against someone who sucked worse. And completely disagree that he only improved slightly. Lastly, if you take one game off the books for him he grades out slightly above average. Again, totally agree the job should not be handed and I'm hoping for better competition. But, we really need to concentrate on upgrading OG before anything.

Agree with the salary issue. Disagree with te car analogy. 200 dollar cars to not get get better each year, nor are they newer models. Webb will continue to get better for the next 4/5 years. There is upside there. Lastly, he had competition last year and unfortunately Williams sucked on a less talented level. I do agree that someone needs to come in and compete for the starting position. More importantly, the interior needs a severe upgrade.
  4. I would do it for their 2nd and 4th and the 1st the following. But, they wouldn't be dumb enough.
  5. I think he will make a fine NFL center. Let's see how this plays out. Makes trading down for an extra 2nd look even better...

I would not complain with any reasonable OL selection...

My concern with Manti is that he is already at his ceiling as a player. Great work ethic and production in college does not always transfer to the pros. I smelled a rat in the championship game and it still stinks today. I still hold onto my assertion that he will go very late in the first or second.

    245 to 255 is ideal for a 4-3 MLB. Butkus-255, Singletary-240, Urlacher-255.
  9. I like it. Can't we cut Spencer and get another 2 mil.

I'd love both at 2mil each. Let Ogletree play outside, while Urlacher shows him how to run the D. We can replace Roach later.

I like it with a couple tweaks. 1) I'd give Roach an extension before Url. And I'd give Url one year. 2) Louis gets 2 years. Lastly, I want a speedy WR in the late rounds to develop.
  12. I don't think the Pats, Pack or Saints had a burner. Just sayin...
  13. Its kinda hard hitting a deep route from your back...
  14. 10000% and 6 years running! When will everyone learn this? OL is just not sexy enough.
  15. There is no way Jeffery ever ran a 4.38. Just an observation from what I see on the field. The report of a 4.38 is unnofficial and scouts put him in the 4.4-4.5 range, which is good for a guy his size. But, definately not what you call a speed reciever.
  16. My gut tells me Louis will not be effective this year...
  17. Totally with the assessment. Bar none, our biggest need is OL.(guard in particular) LG was atrocious and RG wasn't good before a knee injury; so I don't see Louis as a factor. I would love to see us sign Levitre and draft an OT, G/C, TE and 2 LB's. My perfect draft scenario would be to trade down for an extra pick or two and draft Barrett Jones in the late 1st early second. He would provide the flexibility we need, as there is no decent backup to Garza. He could come in and start at any interior position. I also think we need to give Gonzales a shot before we draft a TE highly. Lastly, a high caliber LB is needed to replinish some speed in this group. I don't care how it happens it just has to happen. I absolutely will puke if I see another free agent special teamer signed. Those positions should be filled by draftees looking to move up.
  18. I'm thinking 4 years. Interior guys usually don't last as long.

Cutler can wait. He needs to prove himself this year or I'd prefer he move on.
  20. It's weird like that. I really like and respect Tim Tebow, but want throw something at the TV whenever they bring him up. I would literally turn the channel during the the whole "Favre watch". I am thinking of burying my set in when Canton calls...

The Colts need a good guard badly and they will be 55 mil under.

As the best FA guard last year, Carl Nicks got 9.5 million per. While Levitre is not Nicks, he's damn good. How much are we willing to pay? I'm thinking he commands 7 to 8 mil.
  23. You dont bench special teamers. You cut them or inactivate them. Neither will work well for Hester or the Bears once the season begins. Whatever happens, happens before the season starts.
  24. Who did we draft that year?
  25. Yes they were. We'll find out now if it's players or coaches...
