Things definitely caught up with the team this year. An unholy convergence of injuries, overconfidence, coaching brain farts, missed assignments, bad performance, dirty uniforms, poor groundskeeping--you name it, it happened. After so much expectation at the start of the season, the fall, for me at least, has been hard. Crap, I hate going back to "let's see what next season brings."

BTW, who else is missing from the old group? Did Clenched Claw make the transition? I sure hope so, cause he always was a "special" poster, to quote JA.

You may be right Bradjock. Hester is not the second coming of Red Grange. He's probably the best return guy so far to play football. And perhaps I'm laying too much on him to expect that he can transfer what he does on returns to the rgular O. He has a long way to go to learn routes, positioning, blocking, etc., that goes into making a solid WR. Realistically, then, writie him in as our no. 3 WR next season, try to sign Berrian, drop moose and draft or bring in a FA guy.

I'd love to see them promote the guys from the pactice squad for next week's game with NO. But, as I think I said before, Lovie doesn't seem to thrilled about seeing what alot of these guys can do.

He's a guy they have to get the ball to more. He's so damn explosive and knows what to do after he has the ball that he has to start. He is just raw right now and hopefully the next OC can bring his development along. As far as returns, no one is going to kick to him anyway until we have an O that can make them pay.

It's just unfortunate that Benson is such a bust. And worse, we are going to be stuck with himas THE RB for next season.

Me too. 1) Briggs, Keep Briggs money and spend elsewhere. 2) Keep Dez and dump Gilmore. 3) Alex Brown should be part of the mix next season. He wanted more $, but came back and excelled. He's a team guy. 4) Miller has to go. 5) Kreutz is going to stay, he's been the rock too long. Maybe next season he gets his snaps right. 6) Definitely let Moose go. Take a long look at what it takes to sign Berrian and work on getting Hester ready for WR. RB.... Benson WILL be back, but I still don't like him. And it's a waste of time even saying replace him next season. He'll be it and then gone when he can't carry the load again. QB...What a friggin mess, as usual.Let's see what's available in the offseason and get some new arm (s) in camp. Most important, though, DUMP RON TURNER!

IMdO, we should resign Rex, along with someone else, either draft or FA. But I think Rex gets offered some big $ and moves on. McNabb is going to cost us too much in terms of draft picks and I don't want to give up the draft for him cause we need too much help in other areas. Fix the Oline first.
