  1. NFL NETWORK - I'm serious I am reading it on the scroll right now trust me It's a breaking news alert.
  2. I don't know, a scheffter is just now reporting it on NFL Network. They agreed in principle so bank on kc picking c long and leaving another o-lineman on the board for us hopefully it's albert.
  3. yes they did turn on your tv, it' s just now happened
  4. Yeah, but with him he could be a solid lt in a year or two and we could still go forte in the second and hills or trade our two thirds to move back up in the second and pick baker.
  5. It's official, K.C just traded allen to Minn. SO here's ho I see it playing out...j Miami - j long St louis - G dorsey Atlanta - M ryan Oak - D Mc fadden K.C. - C long New York - V Gholston New Eng - Cromartie Baltimore - Mclevin Cincy - Ellis New orleans - Rivers Buffalo - Thomas Denver -Clady Carolina - Harvey Rucker retired today CHi - Albert
  6. I just saw on espn that Carolina DE Rucker(Spelled right?) just retired. Could they now target someone like harvey instead of taking o-line. Could albert or clady fall to us? If Carolina picks harvey and ryan falls to baltimore then maybe clady or if kc passes on albert this could be good news for us. I'd pass on otah, he's knocked about his footwork and may struggle in passing situations. Denver and KC could be our only spoilers, but you never know. I have a gut feeling there will be a mad run on defense after miami picks, cause once Long, Dorsey, or Gholston are taken teams will panic and go for the others first since the draft isn't as deep on de or dt or lb for that matter.
  7. Thank you, after all we are all fans of the same team. Let's just put this entire thread behind us and move on, this is a dead issue considering url already said he the allegations were false. I am however worried about hester, cause he's been heard talking about holding out of some mandatory ota's which he can't afford to do seeing as how he may be a big part of our offense this year. If he wants a new deal, that's fine he has played exceptionally well and out of respect the bears should start negotiating, but to hold out with only 2 years in a rookie contract and this quick into negotiations is a little overboard. There's no reason he can't negotiate "behind" closed doors for now. The org. may feel more inclined to neg. with him if he acts in a respectible manner, seeing as how we let berrian go I see the org. really wanted to extend hester more than berrian which is a smart move.
  8. Never thought of that, pretty funny and ironic considering it could be called the 2 long draft despite shaving 5 min from each pick in the first. On another note, I watched nfl net. tonight and really agreed with what schefter reported and made sense of it. After listening to him I really think glenn dorsey goes no. 2 overall. He broke it all down and really did his homework and he does have a lot of inside info when it comes to knowing the moves an nfl team is going to make.
  9. Why do you think he's jealous? Many people like their jobs, just b/c professional athletes make millions and are famous doesn't mean he wishes he could do what they do. Would I like the money, sure , however I'm not jealous of those guys. You keep responding with the exact same thing. Didn't you call me an asshole for underlining and bold printing my post? You quoting numerous and different part of his post isn't being a sarcastic asshole??? Your hypocracy will only take you so far, so be civilized and drop this whole arguement. You're pro athletes doing the extreme to get more money and a few of us think they're going too far with their threats. The fact is that there are only a select few in this league that resort to this behavior. That about sums it up end of discussion. So let's forget about this post and move on, neither side will aree to what the other is saying, and to some degree both sides are right. Drop it.
  10. I wouldn't be upset with that pick cause statistically brohm is just as good if not better than ryan. Now if they went that road they would definitly have to pick someone like rachal in the second followed by rb (would be nice to see forte or johnson fall this far) then tony hills from texas with our second third (I don't know if he'd fall that far) basically they'd have to go ol,rb,ol or ol,ol,rb. Anything other than that combo would just be insane and scary for our qb. I'm praying albert falls to us cause with him at guard and forte in the second and hills in the third would make our ol pretty stable and competitive offensively. Not to mention albert could move to lt with a few years experience then we'd have our ot's for the next 10 years!!!
  11. I hear you there, I play halo 3 online and played against someone by the gamer tag cademcnown. Doubt it was really him, but then again how many people would choose that to be their screen name? Not to mention he got uncomfortably quiet when we started making fun of mcnown the person and how big of a bust and loser he was. Just found that story pretty funny, but then again one would have to have heard it I had tears in my eyes with laughter cause the guys I was playing with were ripping into him pretty bad.
  12. I would say this says it all and then some: http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...,5277616.column I agree totally with these points and while I understand renegotiations, something must be done before everyone starts following in Drew Rosenhous's footsteps.
  13. I'm sorry I didn't think I was using sarcasm, or childish gestures. I wanted you to see the actual point, so show some class and refrain from calling people assholes, cause you're really belittling yourself. And by the way I'm not an expert on the market and all, but just someone who sees the ridiculous behavior of the players in this league. But you already knew that cause I guess your the expert. (There's your sarcasm)
  14. Once again, you're not READING this reply, so I'm going to put it in BOLD letters Most people aren't mad at the renegotiations, they're mad at the ATTITUDE The whole I'm not going to report or play if I don't get my way, and if you think this behavior is acceptable you're no better than drew rosenhause himself!
  15. No one ever turns down a raise, but in his defense I think what he and this entire argument is all about is how many people say they won't report to work until they receive a raise. Even factory workers don't do that, sure they strike and picket, but 9 times out of 10 it's b/c an employer is trying to TAKE AWAY FROM it's worker. An employer who's got a contract for it's union "player" rarely have problems until the contract's up and that my friend is why everyone's pissed about the overall team attitude. They're behaving like a bunch of kindergardeners you know the whole "SO and SO's making more than me, I'm not going to play until I make what he makes. That's contract for you. You sign it you're locked in no questions asked. Play the shit out, do your job and go for more when it's up. Only players think it's okay to cry their way out of it. I signed a contract w/ my nat. gas company, for a certain price and just found a different supplier for a little cheaper. By your theory I have the right to not pay my gas bill until I get it for the lower price right? I mean contracts hold no bearing correct? I think we all know better than that, and that's why we're all fed up. Not b/c of the negotiations, but because of the bickering from the guys who willingly signed these contracts and now want more cause someone else got more.
  16. I have a 360 and play COD 4 and Halo 3 as well. My gamertag is MenkTheTank, if anyone from this board want's to feel more than welcome to send me a friend request, just please add a voice telling me if you're from this board so Iknow who you are and can make a note of it. Look forward to hearing from some here!
  17. NO, NO, NO, All wrong. I'm for a player getting more money, and all after their contract is up. If they sign a contract for seven years with a front loaded deal, all their doing is getting the guaranteed money and then bitching when they have it all saying they want a new contract with new guaranteed money. This is why tickets to these darn games are so expensive. Ridiculous. Now if a player plays and finishes his contract then plays hardball, I have no problem with it, he's just trying to get the best deal he can get, but this T.O. B/S is greedy, arrogant, and unprofessional. By the way a player can get cut anytime because it's a part of the job. The owners are their bosses and if in our world we weren't hacking it or "earning" our money we'd be shown the door. Drew rosenhaus is really destroying this league and anymore the comedy Baseketball (by the writers of southpark) saddly is becoming true. I love my football, but I wouldn't mind seeing the owners pull a move out of factory life and institute a lockout and truely show this money hungry, new money players just who signs their paychecks. Maybe then they will live up to their contracts. Is it the mckaskey's fault uralcher signed such a long deal. He got his millions I dont' feel sorry for him. It'd be like me getting a raise, then six months later a co-worker gets a raise and is making the same as me. Sure I've been there longer, but that's the name of the game and if he doesn't like the fact that some LB'ers are making more than him, he should finish out his contract or hold a microphone, cause no one held a gun to his head when he saw the $$$ signs while signing his contract. Just pathetic move on their part.
  18. Exactly, what I'm saying. I would love for the draft to go the rest of the way you have it, those are some pretty solid picks, maybe throw in a dt instead of burton though, so we have addressed all of our supposed holes. Check out the other draft I posted. This is my "IDEAL DRAFT" puts a whole lot of youth into the line with a ot from texas seems like a sleeper cause look what charles and benson did behind those guys and benson isn't all that great from what I've seen thus far. and addresses the rb need with forte. Maybe my late o-lineman pick would be litchensteiger or however you spell it from bowling green. A lineman built like and ox with a mean mean streak could be kruetz's future replacement. http://chi.scout.com/2/746862.html
  19. While giving essencially one of our "original picks" and next years third, it really isn't that much for a player who would be projected much higher before the draft. I think it's pretty decent cause we'd still have another third for an o-lineman and fourth for a project like woodsen, or dixon or defensive tackle. Plenty of options for that if it would happen which it won't, but I did find another that I thought was pretty darn good as well and very reallistic, so here it is I like it a little bit more. http://chi.scout.com/2/746862.html
  20. Although it's not likely cause of a lot of trades and a certain someone falling It'd be great for us if this is the way it went next weekend. http://forums.about.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?t...l&tid=64068
  21. I'd have to agree with you on that one, however I always liked wendell davis, he was one of my favorite wr we've had, but I'll settle for who he picked it could be worse, imagine david terrell and dez white Aaaahhhh!!!!
  22. I personally can go either way. I wouldn't mind it if we landed clady or albert along with forte or johnson, maybe not so much williams cause I don't think a finess LT fits what a power running team requires. I also wouldn't mind it if we took mendenhall and took hill or baker in the second or even cherilous( spelled right?). Point is some people are set that if we do take mendenhall there are no quality offensive linemen in the next two rounds which is pretty stupid considering there have been plenty of pro-bowl caliber olinemen drafted outside the first. If we go oline or mendenhall we're still looking pretty good, but some just refuse to see it that way. I surely won't gripe about getting albert or clady as much as some people here will be chirping if we take mendenhall. Both are glaring holes needed filled, so what does it matter who we take first as long as its the bpa. if clady and albert are gone I personally would rather take the 2nd and by some top rb in the draft as opposed to taking the 5-7th best olineman. That's just common sense.
  23. Stick with an oft injured and questionable benson and the same can be said. BTW why in god's green earth would anyone want to take all rbs? Kinda stupid if you ask me. Quiet chicken little the sky isn't falling if we decide to take rb in rd 1 and ol with the next two picks afterwards. I'm sure there will be one or two guys to pick in this weak offensive line of a draft. Man this is ridiculous. Stick with benson and we'll all be sitting in the same spot next year as well looking for a rb with a top five pick. Hey I did hear that rb's in the top five ask for less money than ones taken at 14 though.
  24. You must think that the only good offensive linemen in this league have to be drafted in the 1st rd! I bet there have been 1-2 (Insert sarcasm) that have panned out outside the first rd. Who knows we may draft albert and baker. We'd go from 28th in the league rushing to the top 10, especially with cedric you can't catch me benson carrying the rock.
