It has been noted that the bears have been playing alot more man press the last couple of weeks which has led to a better performance. Was this true against the Lions as in another post i cant remember much of the game due to the high level of celebrations!!! Did the Bears use the man press against the Packers earlier this year? Watching the Packers last night their timing on O is off the charts, wouldnt the man press help distrupt their timing if possible?

normally i would agree but with GB and Det getting off to a great start the wildcard is going to be our only shot(i dont think GB is going to falter even if Det does) . with that being said we have to beat the Eagles it will give us the tie breaker with all three teams fighting for the wildcard. its safe to safe that atl, tampa and philly will all be in the race with the bears!

I agree with what Briggs is saying, the idea that the players have a short life span as NFl players and need to get as much as they can as quickly as they can cause you never know how long you will be able to play for. My football career was ended on a blown out knee, just like that going into my junior year with 3 years left i was done. So i can relate to what he is saying. I think this way of thinking only applies to guys in Forte situation not Briggs. Briggs had his chance to cash in and he got the best deal he could from the Bears. Forte is still playing on his rookie contract and has far outplayed that contract. I feel the Bears should have paid Forte already but for Briggs you are all right STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Agreed, he can suck a you know what! It would be differnt if Cutler said this in front of writers after a game. He said it in the heat of the battle near or in the red zone trying to put a TD on the board not a field goal. The mic happen to pick it up. Im sure there have been many of players doing this same thing, its just nowadays they have mic's and camera's everywhere.

I like both you guys have pointed out, there was a play where Peppers blows up Peterson on a pass play where Mcnabb barely gets out of the way to throw a pass. Peterson looks at Peppers after the play like Why did you have to hit me so damn hard??? lol

I agree with you, one of the hardest things to do in Football is cover a guy running across the field(as long as your WR has speed which our small WR's do). The most important part is giving the QB time to let a play develop.

i was really hoping he would get his head out of his ass, there is still time but it dont look good. Lets face it tho, our Passing game is screwed on every level right now starting with the GM,OC, OL, WR and QB. Running game looked better, but it was against Car. So really how do you asses the O, i dont know if you can.

Last year the Giants game or first half was the peak of the oline shit storm. They regrouped and made a great run. I dont think we have seen a Giants type domination of our oline this year. So im holding out hope the last 2 weeks were a wake up call. I would say we saw some improvement from the NO game to the GB game as the oline goes. Sad to say but this Carolina game has become way more important then i had thought going to in this season. We need a great showing this week to build confidence.

I have never looked at other teams boards but i wonder what the Pats boards look like, i think we can all agree that the Pats as a whole have a great coaching staff and front office along with a great owner.
