  1. Seen where 4 of the 6 new HCs hired are defensive minded coaches. I guess it was just fans that think new hires have to bo offensive minded coaches, the NFL brass seem to disagree.
  2. For good or bad if Poles rolls back with Justin, the traded first pick will be a better haul than last yr and is part of the transaction. If he can trade back a couple of times, he could add 6 blue chip players and may still get MHJ or Bowers. One of them could be a QB not named Maye or Williams.
  3. I agree Washington would be a worst situation than coming here but Colin says its viewed as a coach staying longer where as he views Flus as a lameduck coach and have a new system in two years. One spot could get you a decent return, when Pace traded for Tribisky, he gave up a first second and fourth in the first year and a third the next year. Williams is considered a better get so you could get more plus the stakes it raises if other teams want that pick. Washington would have to fork up a 1 first, a second, a fouth this year and first next year and a player. Ricky Stromberg/ a second year OC/OG , Jahan Dotbson/WR, a former 1st round pick , Deron Payne would be the prize but very expensive contract.
  4. I think they bring in a vet (Aaron Brewer) played under the assiant line coach or Evan Brown who played under Shane Waldron and draft a mid round center. Not sure it matters but Poles drafted Doug Kramer or signed for next year Dan Feeney, if one of them may be the vet backup or maybe even a starter until a rookie takes over.
  5. Colin on his show two days ago stated that Caleb doesn't want to go Chicago. He thinks they screwed over Justin Fields and have a lame duck coach. The Williams camp walked back on that yesterday , they don't want to be looked like the villain but they never denied saying it. A few months ago he said he would only play for a few teams and wanted a piece of the franchise. Chicago wasnt on that list. Caleb wants to go to Washington, he grew up in the DC area, that makes sense. They have a new coach and feel that he will be there for four years and will have a more stable future there. Colin was on the Score yesterday and talked about this. Colin is friends with Riley and have been on the sidelines for several USC games. He has met Caleb's father and Caleb many times, so he's not just blowing smoke when he makes statements. Caleb's father is involved in the process and a lot of the comments come from him. He wants him in Washington which have the second pick. That makes some sense, the kid was a long time Redskins fan. It's hard to distinguish what is real and not real but at least Colin has some insight being he's been involved with the family before. Joe Burrows was from Ohio and wanted to play for the Bengals, he got his wish. From all this talk the one thing you can determine is , him and his dad have a big egos and they will try to throw their weight around to influence where Caleb goes, Washington picks second.
  6. I have seen her on many videos, her opinions are all over the place.
  7. ( the dumbest thing i ever heard) What's silly is you can't live in peace, you constantly poke the bear and then turn around and pretend you're the innocent one. Grow up
  8. What was the trades? 9 to what to what?
  9. Let's leave out the fact he improved this year, and will get better. For you speechless wouldn't be so bad. Reading is a skill, you misinterpret( not a great passer) like it means he can't pass but you do that all the time so nothing new there.
  10. I wouldn't doubt Philly takes him with Kelce retiring. Kill, you like Frazier better or Van Pran, not sure if I got the name right.
  11. He's probably doing that at every city in top 5. He's originally from Washington DC. Lots of players like going home.
  12. When people disagree on subjects it doesn't mean they think your argument is trash, it's just seeing different criteria for their side of a conversation. You could just like Justin, not necessarily try to put up a legitimate argument I'm never tried to say Justin is a great passer, that isn't even an argument, its about other things he brings to the table and whether the can get better with other coaches or better weapons. That's opinions, it's easy to say odds are against it, that's true but if history shows it possible , it's OK to think that .. It's not cool to say that your opinion is trash, just because it's not the same as yours but you can say it, no one here is stopping that.
  13. Agree with all that, the point with Young is the experts said he was the best QB, not that is was the same as Williams by comparison.
  14. Does anyone know who we added that came from this game? I think Bagent and Tyler Scott were there but not familiar with anyone else.
  15. I've never questioned your knowledge on football. This all started when you called my opinions ridiculous. If they annoy you put your seatbelt on we have 10 weeks until the draft. Everything will be repeated until nausea. I didn't create the Fields or even Flus conversations, the media blew this up , I just give my opinions and refer to other people that think like me. No way do I think Fields is a tier 1 QB but I see the possibility of Poles bringing him back because of ( draft report on Williams), potential haul he gets for the pick, the concept that better coaching and better weapons will allow Fields to play better. To be clear, I still don't think he will be a top 5 QB with that help but it's about winning games and they can do that if they decide to keep him. If Williams is Mahomes 2, I would love that pick but to assume he is because some experts said that is dangerous. They get shit wrong all the time and are not accountable with their opinions just roll into year with the next great QB. Poles loses his job by any decision he makes if it goes bad, so he's going to do what he thinks is best , not either one of our opinions.
  16. You don't want to pass on the ( generational) QB if they identify Williams is one but I think we're one year away from building the roster to compliment any QB added. It all comes down to their evaluation process. Poles was their when KC took Mahomes. Remember he was not considered special at the time. Besides his passing skills, Mahomes is the leader of the team, tough kid, he also has the intangibles. Poles will demand those traits or he won't take.
  17. Actually last year, Bryce Young was the go to guy, didn't turn out that way but it would not have went well if we took Young. Hindsight is always a clear picture. In the second year of the rebuild, we added several blue chip players and this year could be better. Don't count out the haul he may get, it's part of the formula.
  18. As soon as I find something you said about football instead of trolling, which you claim you're not doing. I will show you some respect. If what I write annoys you, stop reading it. You choose to be annoying.
  19. So far I haven't seen anything meaningful you said tonight, what am I missing? I will say, your silence over the years have impressed me. I'm not here to tell people their opinions suck, I compliment him because he adds good content to a conversation, we don't have to agree to respect that. This isn't a competition, I didn't keep Flus, Poles did, I just try to state why he did. I trying to show the argument ( other people stated) about keeping Fields, it's not my original thought.
  20. Now when you make a comment, you make points, he just stating my argument sucks. I'm not sure that's considered, having a conversation.
  21. Did I get this wrong? You attacked me. I just responded.
  22. Voicing opinions is not a popularity contest. I post a lot because I'm retired and can. Here's the key, stop reading my posts if they bother you.
  23. It's not about being fair to Flus, if we succeed, I can't find a scenario where he leaves and we promote another coach. They will help him win. As far as hugging Justin, he's the boss, he can do anything he wants. You assume that's a bad decision, I don't think he puts that much thought into it and he will do what he thinks is best for the team in spite of hugging Fields.
