    What's next?

If one of the top 3 fall, he's taking the BPA, if there gone , I think he's not taking a top 20 WR at 9. Maybe a move back gets closer to Thomas true value . He has a better chance of getting a WR room contributor at 75 than an edge in their first year.
  2. It's hard to fit certain traits on coaches to determine how successful they will be. There's tons of examples that show so many personality types can win. Flus shows he's a player coach by the way his team supports him. Ultimately that's the most important trait in my eyes. He's awkward in public settings but that's no big deal. Coaches learn how to be HCs as much as p!ayers learn how to be play at the NFL level. This year Poles and Flus have to win, we will see how much they have progressed at their jobs. Nagy had a great 2018 and still failed to be a good HC, Flus keeping this team together while losing all those games, speaks volumes to how good of a coach he can be. We're in good hands.
  3. I actually took a college course on body language which doesn't make me an expert but does give insight in some ways. I was traveling so I haven't seen any press conferences, I'll check it out.

    What's next?

We don't know how deep his board goes. 10? 15? He will make sure he gets a blue chipper or he won't trade down. No one has successfully figured out what Poles has did in the past. Does he take the best edge that pushes defense top 5? Or concentrate on offense this year?
  5. I never checked that, just thought that because he has been around the USC team many times before as reported.
  6. Will they take BPA at 9? That will either be Alt or Dallas Turner. Allen isn't signing a lesser contract to be a Bear when he wouldn't restructure a contract for a place he wanted to be. At his age teams aren't giving him top dollar at the WR position. The only thing that comes into play is much he wants to play with Caleb , the brain is hard to figure out. Poles taking him as a one and done makes sense if they take a WR with is second pick. He helps Caleb as a rookie plus train his replacement. Because of the rookie deal at QB he could tag him for one year if we have SB aspirations. The WR room is deep to where they may target one at 75.
  7. Chile is right, former USC player, he's just hanging with alumni.
  8. I think they completely take in consideration everything but harder to measure the mental aspect of the game. You can't measure heart, love of the game, how you react to success and failure. How much does ego affect your actions?

Didn't Kramer have a similar shoe on Seinfeld?
  10. As much as I would love more draft picks and no problem with another QB , we simply have to take Caleb and hope no surprises pop up.
  11. I have a subscription to the Tribune, Athletic for Bears stories.
  12. Sarcasm is a form of humor.
  13. With only 4 draft picks, and knowing how Poles likes to move around the draft board it will be interesting. For sure we get 2 quality picks and maybe an contributor at 75. The key to the draft will be how much is someone willing to give up for Caleb and does he view another prospect as close in value? It might just be straight forward and take Caleb and try to improve the roster after the draft. The key will be , does pick 9 create a value we don't see right now? How to guess at that.
  14. The Bears was the biggest off season story and people run out things to say, so you just get pounded with opinions. A lot of journalists just say things to get clicks. Social media just gives us a minute to minute blow instead of the daily or weekly news stories we were use to.
  15. Hugging someone is just a human response to an emotional moment. I don't think it makes any other kind of statement. I say things all the time you make light of, and I avoid turning it into a talking point. Why you so touchy about everything?

Is it just me but would this ensemble look better with a pleaded belt? This makes him look to skinny, He needs to show more toxic masculinity.
  17. I posted the video as soon i seen it, after he made some good points, you will never see me push back on Caleb again. Chase shows it to you, that is much easier to absorb his special talent instead of with comments.

    What's next?

I've been plumbing for 53 years and have come across people that actually think their smarter than me and then they call me when they can't figure it out. Plumbing is more common sense but problem solving comes with experience. People's egoes gets in the way.
  19. I will give you credit for making some points about Caleb that Chase actually shows breaking down tape instead of just saying it. Maybe you can do that type of stuff to backup your opinions. It's easy to see it and has sold me more on Caleb than all information before this.
  20. It doesn't refute the criticism that he holds the ball to long. These are selected plays that show off his talent. 60 plays this year that he held the ball over 6 seconds, that is not an opinion he did that. He holds the ball to long when he gets pressure, and tries to make big plays. When other people say he holds the ball to long, it doesn't mean he does it all the time. It's a general comment. As talented as he is , he's not perfect. This video more than any I seen shows off he special talent. I remember when I showed a Chase Daniels video that praised a game of Justin's and you told me he didn't know anything just because he was an ex QB. Now that he says something you like, you praise him.
  21. I think what he does like Rodgers is movement in the pocket to avoid pressure. He has some good traits.

    What's next?

I think the only reason he doesn't come here has to do him wanting to be treated special. Saying the rookie pay scale is unfair and thinking he may be able to change it because he is so good. Saying he is better than Patrick Mahomes is another red flag. Who would say that? Most rumors probably aren't true but things had to be said for any of them to gain that much talk.
  23. I agree the mentality matters a lot but you can't compare college players to pro players. In college maybe 10% of the players they play against will make the pros. It's a lot harder to succeed in the NFL. In College lots of QBs end up with great stats and can't play in the NFL. Is there any scenario where Caleb sits for a year or at least 10 games before starting? Jordan Love played better than expected after sitting. Patrick did the same thing. Does Poles look long term and is patience with his development and sit him for a designated time?
