The Chicago Bears are on the clock! OFFSEASON OPEN THREAD!
Stinger226 replied to adam's topic in Bearstalk
They all could end up being good or a late round pick could surprize people. Kelce was a 5th round pick and took a few years to develop. To me JPJ may be the best rookie if needed to be a starter early. -
I totally agree with all of that, there is no wrong decision , one may have better results than the other one but both can still allow us to be a winning team in 2024.
-
You are the most grounded person on this site , I dont always agree with you but I never attack you for it. I too, like to post both sides of a topic, of course I lean one way or another but always leave both options open. You can be wrong about facts, mis quote someone, but opinions dont have a right or wrong answer. This site is about dicussiong the Bears, it never has to get personal.

I agree with you, I just post information for and against keeping Fields, I post on prospects ,on mock drafts, other peoples information but I have no intert in fighting with anyone. .That is not my agenda, I dont care if Im right or wrong, if doesnt matter if no one agrees with me. Its just being a Bears fan. If my posts annoy anyone, stop reading them , poeple dont need to get personal because they dont agree with me. I do repond when people bad mouth me, thats not going to change. I am not going to quit posting , none of it is done for sake of fighting. So i apologize to anyone that doesnt like this, I dont like it either.

Which Rookie QB should we draft to replace Fields?
Stinger226 replied to BearFan PHX's topic in Bearstalk
We agree on something, if Poles makes the wrong decision, he will end up losing his job over it. I will trust him to make the best decision. I dont need to be right to be happy with any decision but you will freak out if he doesnt take a top 10 pick QB, thats the difference between us. Have your opinion, stay a Bear fan and hope he made the right choice for the future of the Bears even if he keeps Fields. -
Which Rookie QB should we draft to replace Fields?

I say only Poles opinion is all that matters and you say it means( I say no one else can have an opinion.) It amazes me how all you want to do is turn everything in to a conflict. I never said ( you're not respecting my opinion), i always say everyone has a right to have dfferent opinions. You say ,( you can only argue if you defend your opinion) there again , that's not necessary to give an opinion, you dont make the rules. How do I know who she talked to? She states it in the video, she never talked to any GMs, other people. When I post other peoples opinions( former players, former QBs, media that wants to keep Justin), you blow them off because they dont agree with you, yet the people Carmen talked to are important opinions. Up until Poles makes this decision, it is going to be a highly debated argument. I have always given you credit for a well thought out opinion yet you keep fighting with anyone who disagrees with you. There is only good and bad choices, there is no right or wrong opinions. We wont know what was the right choice until next year is played. -
Of course everything you post is all about being right. This is just another opinion of a( not important fan), just like us. People have different opinions on Justin , they are allowed to do that, they dont need to prove why they think he will be back. I post different opinions and yet you think 90% of everyone thinks like you. You post information as to why we should move on from Justin, the majority of stats suggest that's the best choice but if Poles thinks he can be better , it doesnt matter if its a bad choice, he will still do what he thinks is best. With all you complained about with Flus , Poles brought him back because HE thought it was his best choice. IF he brings Justin back and gets a draft capital bonanza, it doesnt have to be his best choice, only what he wants to do. Tell everyone how stupid he is, it means nothing. No matter what choices he makes we wont know if he is right until November of this year. Have fun posting.

Which Rookie QB should we draft to replace Fields?
Stinger226 replied to BearFan PHX's topic in Bearstalk
That's Carmen Vitale or something like that. People have been saying Cronin. Other GMs opinions may count but most she talks to carries no weight. Poles knows what's best and if he runs back with Fields, screw everyone's else opinion. Its his show to run. He not doing a popularity contest. -
Thats all you're going to get unless some team wants to move past Washington and raises the stakes. No way they would throw in McLaurian.
-
Found it interesting that Kingsbury is now being considered for the Washington OC job. Are the ducks lining up for Williams in Washington. Interesting.

Here is onbe for the defense.

Here is a video giving a realitic view of our 2024 roster. offense

Seen where 4 of the 6 new HCs hired are defensive minded coaches. I guess it was just fans that think new hires have to bo offensive minded coaches, the NFL brass seem to disagree.
-
For good or bad if Poles rolls back with Justin, the traded first pick will be a better haul than last yr and is part of the transaction. If he can trade back a couple of times, he could add 6 blue chip players and may still get MHJ or Bowers. One of them could be a QB not named Maye or Williams.

Totally agree, she uses common sense as a tool. -
I agree Washington would be a worst situation than coming here but Colin says its viewed as a coach staying longer where as he views Flus as a lameduck coach and have a new system in two years. One spot could get you a decent return, when Pace traded for Tribisky, he gave up a first second and fourth in the first year and a third the next year. Williams is considered a better get so you could get more plus the stakes it raises if other teams want that pick. Washington would have to fork up a 1 first, a second, a fouth this year and first next year and a player. Ricky Stromberg/ a second year OC/OG , Jahan Dotbson/WR, a former 1st round pick , Deron Payne would be the prize but very expensive contract.

The Chicago Bears are on the clock! OFFSEASON OPEN THREAD!
Stinger226 replied to adam's topic in Bearstalk
I think they bring in a vet (Aaron Brewer) played under the assiant line coach or Evan Brown who played under Shane Waldron and draft a mid round center. Not sure it matters but Poles drafted Doug Kramer or signed for next year Dan Feeney, if one of them may be the vet backup or maybe even a starter until a rookie takes over. -
Colin on his show two days ago stated that Caleb doesn't want to go Chicago. He thinks they screwed over Justin Fields and have a lame duck coach. The Williams camp walked back on that yesterday , they don't want to be looked like the villain but they never denied saying it. A few months ago he said he would only play for a few teams and wanted a piece of the franchise. Chicago wasnt on that list. Caleb wants to go to Washington, he grew up in the DC area, that makes sense. They have a new coach and feel that he will be there for four years and will have a more stable future there. Colin was on the Score yesterday and talked about this. Colin is friends with Riley and have been on the sidelines for several USC games. He has met Caleb's father and Caleb many times, so he's not just blowing smoke when he makes statements. Caleb's father is involved in the process and a lot of the comments come from him. He wants him in Washington which have the second pick. That makes some sense, the kid was a long time Redskins fan. It's hard to distinguish what is real and not real but at least Colin has some insight being he's been involved with the family before. Joe Burrows was from Ohio and wanted to play for the Bengals, he got his wish. From all this talk the one thing you can determine is , him and his dad have a big egos and they will try to throw their weight around to influence where Caleb goes, Washington picks second.

I have seen her on many videos, her opinions are all over the place. -
( the dumbest thing i ever heard) What's silly is you can't live in peace, you constantly poke the bear and then turn around and pretend you're the innocent one. Grow up

What was the trades? 9 to what to what?

Let's leave out the fact he improved this year, and will get better. For you speechless wouldn't be so bad. Reading is a skill, you misinterpret( not a great passer) like it means he can't pass but you do that all the time so nothing new there.

I wouldn't doubt Philly takes him with Kelce retiring. Kill, you like Frazier better or Van Pran, not sure if I got the name right.
