  1. Some of those teams are still in on drafting a QB. Justin's market may not develop until after the draft. Someone is not getting their guy. LVR has Getsy there, not happening. Den only realistic option.
  2. There's another reason why the market is so light on Justin, because maybe they're not trading him. GMs understand choices but media and fans whip up narratives. This is a possibility even as slight as it may be.
  3. Actually it was 60.4% pressure rate . Tell me what QB in the League looks good being under pressure 6 out of ten times. It's wreaks one's confidence. Also he was one of the highest in the League in completion rate when throwing to D j and Kmet. All the other WRs had at least a 15% drop passes rate. You lose confidence in WRs when hey continually dropping the ball. Example Mooney in the end zone that would have won the game. If he would had had one more reliable WR, he would have made the top 10 in the League.
  4. They are out on the Justin tour. Atlanta getting Cousins?
  5. I don't mean to be disrespectful to Bears media but there are a lot idiots out there. I seen several say we paid to much for Byard. That's insane. A top 5 safety for 7.5 mil a year. I expected 10 to 12 for someone.

To he fair, JJ is a vet , he's just young. And yes Byard is a perfect fit. I'm also glad he has an easy name.

  8. Last year he had 55 pressures. 9.5 sacks and signed for 2.5 mil, go get him.
  9. They definitely are. I think we wait until after the first wave gets signed and grab a vet on a 1 year10 deal. Clowny comes to mind. He
  10. Poles has to win this year, he has to upgrade from maybes to sure things. Byard is as close you can get to a sure thing.
  11. If Caleb is that guy he will come in with the challenge of winning he locker room. Over. Success will win the locker room, if he has Bryce Young season, he will have a lot of pressure on him. How ever they play this, it works better if he doesn't start until late season or sits the whole year.
  12. The earth is flat, not sure of your point? Until Poles trades Justin that option is still on the table.
  13. If they were already set on drafting him , would they be doing that?
  14. Last year Justin was picked by his NFL peers as the 87 th best player in the League. Trevor Lawrence was either in the 90s or didn't make the list. Very well respected in the League amongst players.
  15. I read one stat were he has more interceptions (28) than he does missed tackles in his career. That's huge having such a well tackling FS. Poles is going for winning this year. Does he think a rookie QB gets us there?
  16. A deep dive into statistics suggests differently.
  17. At his age he's taking any starting gig he could get. He has never mentioned retirement in his last few years, odds are slim on that. He will not be cheap.
  18. I trust Poles to make the right choice. We are in win mode now, A rookie QB would have us regress for this year at least. I think the possibility still exists to add picks and still draft a QB to sit behind Justin.
  19. PFF had Byard as the 11 th ranked S last year. Definitely an upgrade over EJac
  20. 7.5 mil a year is an excellent price for a former pro bowl player. You think that's expensive?
  21. Poles was a former player, he absolutely listens to his stars. The scenario where we draft Caleb and keep Fields has always been an option. What better way to keep the moral of the team up by having Caleb earn the respect of the team as he transitions. likely Caleb's first year would be more Young like than Stroud. We can keep winning, treat Fields with respect and the team has time to earn respect for Caleb. Fields always misses a couple of games a year from minor injuries, what better way to transition a new QB than have him earn it and get the team behind him.

Poles has a plan in place and so far , he's doing it before Free agency starts. Byard may only have a few good years left and so he draft one and have him sit behind Byard and learn. I think this is a desirable place to come to with the talent we already have. Plus if we have a QB on a rookie deal, it it opens up the ability to get better veterans. Poles has to win now.
  23. Poles comes from KC, they drafted Mahomes and didn't trade Smith until the next year. Smith was more accomplished than Fields, he has a template from the KC situation. It gives him the chance to raise the trade value of Justin. Poles isn't dumping Fields for chump change, he will likely sit Caleb for a year like they did in KC. We are at the spot in the rebuild where we have to win and a rookie QB is an unknown factor. Justin is a competitor, he's not crying his way out of town. If Caleb has a problem with it , it brings back his red flag character issues that came up before the draft. Mahomes never had a problem with it in KC.
  24. Painting a sad return for Fields if Poles moves on.
  25. I'm not sure anyone on this site doesn't think Caleb isn't talented. It's other reasons they question him being drafted. Intangibles, superego. QBs are just hard to analyze until they play in the NFL. If Poles drafts him and he's better than Mahomes like he claims, I love routing for my team in big games.
