I think Poles knows what to do. Him and Cunningham came from good organizations. If he wants Carter or Anderson he won't move back past 4. If he gets the mother load , he will surprise us. I think at a minimum to move one spot, we get a # 2 , pick 34, and a # 1 next year. For # 4 it should be a little spicer. An extra 2023 pick, an extra. 2024 pick plus a second round and the first from next year of course. What if we drop to 7 or 9 ?
-
As far as mock drafts go, usually around a hit of 40% of picks in the first round is what the best at it do . The top 10 will have a lot of D line in it , the Oline is not valued in the top 10.
-
You addressed needs but doubt is Wypler is the OL we end up with.
-
As much as a 2024 1 st rounder is valuable, It does nothing to get better this year. Concentrate on value this year and just get someone to throw it in.
-
I think Skoronski plays OG in the NFL so picking him with the first pick seems unrealistic to me unless we move back in the teens. I also they don't see a WR with the first pick. The first pick will be a DL .
-
Personally, I think a bidding war escalates the value we will receive.
-
Seen a Chat Sports- Houston version. They stated the trade for # 1 would cost # 2--A 2023 3rd round -- 2024 1st rounder ( Cleveland). But we have to throw in a 2023 5th rounder. You guys think that is a fair trade? I think it's a joke myself. I think it will be # 2 , pick 33, 5 th round pick, 2024 1st rounder. What say you?

So who else does Poles bring back of our own free agents? DHC, Patrick Scales, Matt Adams, Admin Watts, Trevon Wesco, Blasingame. David Montgomery 3 years-- 19.5 mil.
-
Mustipher is already gone, he's a RFA, Patrick would need to be cut. He won't be gone until Poles replaces him. I think our free agents that Poles wanted back will be signed soon or he probably won't be bringing them back.

Was listening to a podcast, and someone mentioned the name, Parris Campbell. He has 4.31 speed, 6' 208 lbs. Injury free last year had 63 catches. OTC suggests a salary around 8-10 mil. What do you think? Not that it matters but is from Ohio State.
-
as much as I think he's the best WR in the draft, don't think they go anything other than the OL or DL with high pick. If they drop to the teens there will be choices .
-
He compares to all the big WRs in this draft. Quentin Johnson and Chase Claypool. are clones. CC is 4.2 , QJ is 4.3_ speed.
-
Angelo Blackson was released today. He had a avoidable year but still on the rorster. Also they resigned Dieter Eiselen. Do they have a plan for him? He keeps hanging around. He can play both OG and OC. Can he earn a starter spot?
-
I think one of them will stand out but that should be a minimum line for all 3 . Also I expect V Jones to make a contribution. I think Poles adds a medium priced vet and drafts one in middle rounds.
-
I don't think there's any sure thing WRs in the draft like last year. Probably only a few that may turn into number ones, just not sure who. Therefore someone building thru the draft isn't going to give up draft capital to do that. Now next year, Harrison is that type of WR, you trade up for. We should have ammo to do that.
-
Yup
-
After free agency that draft will look totally different. 2 or 3 players brought in will change priority at top of draft. If McGary signs, no Jones pick. If Ethan Pocic signs no JMS. I think a Cody Mauch gets drafted at 54 that can play several positions in case one of Poles signings blows up.
-
The final chapter to the story is not printed yet. We have a year to wait. I don't think Poles is trading up for anyone, try trading back scenarios. There is. 3 or 4 WRs gone before that pick. The list doesn't look as good after.

I think interviews for job is about presentation. Some people are Einstein when talking football but don't communicate well. Don't know about Eric B but when I was in business , the people I hired was because of their personality which did make for some bad choices.
-
I agree with you about OSU , tons of talent, but traits can still stick out, leader , hard worker, strong arm, deep throw accuracy, good running QB. It got him drafted early.
-
Unlike you I put my foot in my mouth all the time, you should engage more. I'm one of the last percieved jerks on here. I liked to jack with people on comments but more to be playful that being a jerk. Its all about perception, just like different coaches with different personalities. Some engage and some are laid back like you.

I think these days that is hard to buy. In the past it absolutely was the case. For that to be the case, 32 teams would have to meet and say , forget him he's black. Are there a few old bigots, sure there is, but for 32 teams to get together and say let's choose Lovie ( 3 times) , but Beineimy is black ? As these guys stated its about personality . Lovie, Demarco, Tomlin, they command a room when they walk in it, if Beieneimy is quiet not very energetic, it shows up in an interview. Doesn't have anything to do with how he may coach but how he projects himself to the public.

In 2019= 238 passes, 67℅, 3273 yards, 41 TDs, 3 int. I think he can pass. The covid year screwed up his development and then the Nagy fiasco. Last year was his first development session. Year 2 is coming.
