  1. I dont think with everyone having a difference of opinions that anyone will agree on hitting a homerun. Definitely draft 2 OTs in the first 3 rounds as the draft falls that way also. I have read some good things about Jamie Newman as being a better prospect than Trask and we could get him in the 3rd round leaving us getting better OT prospect in the second instead of third.
  2. Being 8-8 at worst Nagy and Pace isnt going anywhere but changing Pagano is a good idea that I doubt Pace addresses. The defense needs to be more aggressive. I hate at the end of games we have leads where we have 3 rushes as good QBs having time move down the field. With a more aggressive team, we have the chance to give up more bigger plays but have more chances to create more TOs , something we are lacking since Fangio left. Backing into the playoffs losing to Packers as AZ loses when not be very uplifting. Since we are rolling, we just need to beat Packers which could put us in a spot to play them in the first game of the playoffs. If Seattle wins and Packers lose, they will have the same conference record. I am not sure what the next protocol is for seeding? Anyone know?
  3. I think we are good inside, definitely go 2 OTs
  4. The problem is Foles has 10.5 mil coming that if we cut him it becomes dead money, no cap saving. According to Over The Cap. I think they will decide over a drafted QB or MT. Not both.
  5. If you use him right and have a good team around him, I think you can win with him, the problem would be , at some point , Pace will give him a 25 mil a year contract and he will be very mediocre. We still need to address that position whether he is here next year or not.
  6. There was a Tribune article about the 30 biggest moments for Pace. As I read it , it came out 15-15 with a few questionable decisions. So he is average. Bad with the first round but good with later round picks. Smith is a stud, so it was hard to screw that one up. For me, if he traded his first and second rounds picks for more in 3-5, I would be more confident. 50-50 with FAs. I see the biggest problem for him is giving people like Glennon and the Quinns big money but the cheaper FAs have been good. With the lost of money for the team this year, the worst they will be is 8-8 so a 12-4 and 8-8 before that, they aint going anywhere. To keep changing coaches and GMs that doesnt get you any where to make it a stable winning franchise so I am probably ok with it. Comet-Johnson- Mooney. Gibson and Virdor seems to be make the top 53 type players with upside. The OL may contribute or not , so cant really complain about this year. Leno playing well at the end of the year does not blow my skirt up. I am for still go in a new direction with him. 1st or 2nd may get that done. The QB position is the downfall for Pace, hopefully we find an answer this year.
  7. I understood them going to Foles, Nagy hoping that he became the guy, he's not. BUT they should have played MT sooner and shaped the scheme to his strengths. My question is why after Daniels got hurt, they did not identify the upgrade Sam M and A Bars brought to the table instead of playing the Coward card for so long? Clearly our OL has affected the running game and helped with MT.
  8. I think it will come down to if they find a better option, draft pick, or a Carr cut loose situation, they will bring him back. I think we are stuck with Foles for one more year as the backup, because cutting him is all dead money , no cap affect at all and then we would have to pay someone else to be a backup.
  9. With Daniels coming back, Bars has the body of a OT, maybe he could play RT. Draft a first round LT and get a later round RT prospect and frees up the front of the draft for a WR, CB. DT and a QB. We have picks in the first 3 rounds. If we cant resign AROB we also would get a comp. 3rd round pick.
  10. NOW , do not play with 3 up front, we do not need to give Cousins time.
  11. Why is he dropping back and not rolling out? It has been successful all game. I hear people say DMonty is running better, I think if he doesnt have to dodge bullets in the backfield, he plays this well all the time.
  12. I think he is getting better and has more room for improvement.
  13. So if MT plays well the rest of the season, do we bring him back? I think him and Nagy are on different pages and Nagy will lobby for a different QB to run his offense.
  14. There is no way Fuller , Jackson, Mack or Quinn have any chance of being traded. If you go by their value of contract, this year is bad juju for trying to trade them. Cost doesnt match production. I have read projections that 2 years from now the cap will not being going up because they will be dealing with the same problems they had to deal with this year. We are stuck in cap hell . I hope they can move money down the road and keep as many stars as we can. Hicks is the only star that does not have a negative impact on the cap. I am not lobbying to get rid of him, just think its the only one that works with the cap for a 32 year old , having injuries the last two years. I think they will think Nichols taking a jump will ease the pain. I doubt they will get rid of Miller with AROB probably not coming back. Losing AROB and Hicks will hurt but with so many big contracts they will have no choice. I like the idea of moving contracts down the road but with the next two years being stagnate, I think it will be hard to move everything 3 years down the road and work. WRs: Miller, Mooney, Wims, Ridley, and a draft pick looks like our next year roster. Not good DTs: Nichols, McCullens, Goldman, Urban, McCullens and RRH might be what we are stuck with. I would love everybody back but the numbers tell a different story. I just dont think your moving players and restructuring contracts 2 years down the road is going to work. If I have a choice, I would try to bring back AROB and let Hicks go. Younger, a #1 WR for a new QB.
  15. I think the possibility of cutting Hicks exists because it saves us 11.5 in cap space. With 20 mil being chopped off of the cap next year, some good players have to go. I think with Goldman coming back, Nichols taking Hicks spot and resigning Urban, McCullens, and RRH we can be okay there. I think with RRH being hurt he will not be getting a big contract anywhere. Dont get me wrong we see what happens with Hicks not playing but he only has one year left on his contract, takes the least dead money hit of all the good players, and will be a year older, 32. Bring in another low draft pick, something Pace seems good at.
  16. This is probably the best case scenario with the assets we have to draft 2 OTs. I would say draft a OT in the first round, QB in second and a RT in the 3rd. Cutting Leno and Massie save us 11.6 mil in cap space. That give us a young OL to hopefully keep together for a long time. Whitehair has a contract thru 2024. We should forget Coward, (sucks) , keep Ifedi with backup money and Bars comes cheap. QBs that may be there in the second are Trask and Mac Jones. That could change thou. GBND report has the top 6 QBs listed in the top 12 which is more because of the potential draft needs of so many teams. They have as part of their top 100 (J T Daniels-23, Desmond Ridder-91, and Jamie Newman-98. If any of them are good prospects then maybe 2 OTs in first two rounds and a QB in the third. I think if we finish 8-8 or above, Pace and Nagy stay, no my wish but just being realistic. After losing money this year, dont see them making radical moves even thou that should.
  17. So did Daniels die in your scenario? He was actually playing the best of the OL before he got hurt. (not my opinion) The OL should be draft pick-Whitehair-Daniels-?-draft pick. I dont think Ifedi has played very well, think Massie would have been better. Maybe Bars at RG? He has faired well since starting. I would prefer 2 new tackles and fill in the interior with what we have.
  18. That would be a good draft but no way Jones lasts until the 4th round, 2nd round player, only because to many teams need QBs, they all move up. I have seen drafts where 4 go in the top of the draft and the next 2 are gone by the middle of the second round.
  19. I am trying to figure what they will do. Someone has to go, If they restructure all the big money contracts, I still dont think they would have enough to keep AROB. Maybe franchise him and try to trade him? Not sure the time frame when the dollars take a hit to the cap. A few of the cuts are obvious but will need to cut a few go of the top players. I was reading where this will probably be a cap reduction of 20 mil, and because 2021 could still be a problem will not go up the following year. That will mean tough cuts or redoing a lot of contracts.
  20. If they run the same type of scheme they run today, rolling him out, slants(quick passes) and stay out of 6 step drops, he can succeed. I dont think they keep both although Foles will cost 10.5 mil in dead money, so I think they keep him as the backup. If they show they play to MTs strengths the rest of the season, maybe .
  21. I think Monty is an excellent back, you notice if he gets holes he looks great.
  22. Makes sense, Adams and AROB are similar WRs.
  23. I didnt think of that, but they can do contracts with the hits in following years. If MT continues to play better in a more friendly scheme, you think they would think of keeping him? I hope not
