  1. I would love to watch a blowout but that wont happen in this game, a close game is in the forecast.
  2. It may take him a couple of weeks to get up to speed but should always be a red zone threat.
  3. I do not know why but I live and die with the Bears, if they win, I happy happy all day, if they lose I become moody. The only franchise that has that affect on me. So you understand I have been on depression medicine for a very long time.
  4. I think we win something like 24-20 with a late defensive interception to cap the win.
  5. We have a long way to go but things seem to be lining up for us to win the division or at least make the playoffs. In 7 games we only have to go 4-3 to be 10-6 and that seems very doable. I think we surprise one of the Vikings game or LA game and pull an upset, preferable this week , but I think also we have a bad game and someone beats us we should have won. Detroit or maybe NY Gaints to keep us grounded to realize next year is the year we turn into the Rams or KC, this year is just a bonus.
  6. I think installing the new offense is more about boasting the passing game than pushing the running game and it sometimes gets lost in transition Short passes replaces a lot of running plays. Howard has a role it just isnt the focus. I also think the lack of a FB and inline TE blocking has contributed to an efficient effective running game. The fact is we are scoring at a much better rate than the last two years when Howard was more the focal point . I think once the offense is up to speed we will see more efficient running plays. Nagy is learning his job as well as MT is learning his job. I think Sheenan getting up to speed will help. Most games the offense is going well but there will be a time when we will need Howard. We are on here complaining about we dont run the ball well, yet we are 5th in the league in scoring and have a more diverse set of weapons. I think it has been so long that we have seen a good team we dont know how to act. One thing is this is the first time I have seen us develop a QB and we lack the patience for MT to have his good games and also his bad games. Barring a turn on the health of the team, the offense has a boner and it doesnt have to take Viagra, win win.
  7. The problem is, what is better out there? You want Carlos Santos or Bair Walsh?
  8. He is going to have good and bad games, by the end of the season we need to see few mistakes to have this follow his development. That should put us in the playoffs.
  9. he aint going anywhere so we can just hope he gets his shit together. These are not perfect games but other than Parkey, its hard to complain about anybody. A good game from Floyd today. 3 hits, 1 sack and played the run well. I think this is the best game MT played this year, not the 6 TDs but seemed more accurate to me today. STUDS: Mack, Hicks, Callahan (5 ts, 1 sack, 1 Int, 1 tfl, one QB hit)Smith (10 ts, 1 sack, 1 tfl, 1 pd), Robinson(6-133-2) Miller (5-122-1)
  10. I was one of the people complaining about not resigning Cam but Pace was right not to. He has missed several games because of injuries and now goes on IR. Pace has made a lot of mistakes along the way, but has also did some good things, he made the right call on this player.
  11. Its going to be something like 30-19. They hang around but the defense takes over the game in the second half.
  12. The pair are back of practice as well as Bilal Nickols that give us depth.
  13. He plays the same spot AROB plays so we show have seen him show his stuff while he was out. Apparently not enough to be active for the last game.
  14. Look at all the top teams in the NFC, Vikings are good and seem to be getting back into a groove but I think we have the best D of all of the playoff contenders. Everyone rated LA Rams as the best but have yet to show that. Our defense will put us in the position to win, as the O gets more stability and MT grows. We were in every game and had chances to win them all. I do not think everyone remembers our best defensive player and top WR are out and both will have an impact when back. The reason other WRs have taken as the highlight of the game is because the other teams paid so much attention to AROB. Once he is back, we are back to moving forward with the offense.
  15. I always take a realistic view of my sports teams but I am forever an optimist. I think by an over view of people on here it is easy to the positive members and the negative ones. Your so right, I am happy with a blowout even when the offense does not look good. To be honest, if we won 3-2 I would be happy. 5-3, first place and a couple blowouts this year, Im all in.
  16. MT is just a work in progress and will have good days and bad days. I think his biggest problem is not having his feet set when throwing. It will be a slow progress but I think he has some of the better teachers in the NFL, so will be no problem going forward.
  17. I replayed all of L. Floyd plays and he actually played well. His problem is when blockers get to his body he has a hard time separating. I think all of that is related to his hand injury. You need your arms to fed off blockers and not being able to workout his are strength while he was in a cast. I think he will be just fine going forward as his gains his arm strength.
  18. If you like defense it was beautiful, offense was ugly but did enough to not have a repeat of Miami game, I could care less if we won 3-2, its about winning not style points.
  19. You watching the Bears game, lots of pressure on Peterman, offense out of sink , lots of penalties that took us out of drives. Noisy place to play it showed up.
  20. I think that depends on injury and if he ends up needing another surgery this off season. Truth is with Mack's big money kicking in next year they may choose to let him go depending on well Kush playing going forward. He will make 8.5 , if we cut him only a 3 mil hit.
  21. this site closed down now? Bears are kicking ass and no one has anything to say? Recap, MT not on today D is not missing Mack J Howard back in the game plan.
  22. Floyd is taking a lot of heat for a lack of sacks but he is playing well at everything else. I do not think we can forget his injury this year and going forward will be more productive in that area. As a first round draftee, his play is marginal but as a solid football player, he is all of that.
  23. I think we go BPA at that point of the draft. RT will need to be addressed but I think Coward wins that job but will draft a OT to develop somewhere in the draft. I think as you do we need to address our S and also CB situation, someone to develop. I think if their is a S of value at our 3rd that could be our first pick. OLB will always be in the running but as BPA is the order of the day, we will draft accordingly. I think Sims will be gone, and possibly Amos, it will depend on his demand in FA as to whether we get a valued contract bringing him back. I think we basically have young players to develop at every spot. Next year I think Ben B will get more playing time and Brown will still be in the picture so I do not think we address that in the draft. Brown or Ben were undrafted free agents so we will continue to look there for bodies. Thinking BPA OT-OLB-S-CB will all be in play. I also think depending on how Long comes out of his injury woes, I think he may not be brought back. Hes going to be 30, injury history is not good. and also Bryan Witzmann can play RG or RT and I think he developes into a sneaky good addition to our team going forward. He will be making 8.5 million next year that will come into play. That will get you Amos and Callahan back for the same money. Also next year is when Macks big money kicks in, 22 mil. Also James Stone and Dejon Allen are on our practice squad and I think they develop into our next years backups.
  24. Golden Tate is now in Philly, go he be gone for our upcoming games with Det
