  1. This isnt what I would do, but what I think the Bears will do. Collie is generally considered a 4th choice in most drafts. I have seen him in the 5th in some mocks and as high as the 2 in two mocks. Our 3rd is 99, and the 4th round starts at 101, so that pick isnt much of a reach.
  2. I dont see us taking an injury risk as our first receiver taken, noting the Bradley experiment wasnt that long ago. More of a healthy body with pick. Other wise seemed to go quite well.
  3. Bear fans will be unhappy with our draft. Lots of complaining on these air ways. In the end a successful team with a few rookies making contributions is all that matters. Our first pick will be someone nobody has considered like a 1st rounder that has dropped to us at 49
  4. This is not my dream draft but with all that I have read(I dont have a life) how I think the players will drop to us that we have on our board. 2-Bryd/FS/Ore I think we wanted Johnson and he is gone and the WRs we have rated high at this point are gone so we take a player on our board that fits this slot. Besides his dad is a ass. coach on the team. 3-Collie/WR/BYU The best receiver left in our second tier WR group that fits this valve at this spot. 4-Follett/OLB/Cal I see them as thinking this is a potenial upgrade at that position and fits the valve of the pick. 5a-Melton/DE/Tex They have shown interest in him, and thinks our coaching staff can make a player out of him. 5b-Parrish/OT/KS They have shown an interest in him. He is atheltic and could develope in to a starter down the road. 6-Gill/DT/NW We have worked him out twice. He is fast at his size and still on the board. 7a-Cherry/WR/L-L We had him in for a pre-draft visit and take a flyer on him. 7b-Louis/OG/SDS Had a private workout. A college tackle that projects to guard.
  5. I think RJ is an Mike Brown type in that he is a playmaker and has football smarts. He didnt seem to have any injury issues in college, so he would be a great pick at the 49th spot. Also he is a valve pick at that spot, unless a top 6 WR drops to us at that point. It will be a tough decision but think they view the WR position deeper and go FS.
  6. Cant hit the point better than that and be funny at the same time.
  7. I remember hearing all this talk when he went to visit the Titans, I wont believe things till I see it.
  8. At that spot, I would like to see Robiskie, but dont think he will be there. I think Nicks will be gone too, but think Britt could be there, and Iglesias. Which one would you take at that point?
  9. Your right about that, if we could get him in the 4th, there is less valve at that pick so the risk is more worth taking. The 2nd round would be to high to me, but if the other top prospects are gone, as a second tier WR it may be an ok pick, just not at 2.
  10. I dont think every thing is based on how he looks in shorts on the pre draft. I think they find out he much he might love the game, if he has football inteligence, he might be a stronger player than anticipated to handle the physicallity of the game. Other thoughts go into there opinion which might cause a player to rise. I think a strong point of a player is production and other than his last year, didnt show much in that area. Odds are if they werent producted in college they probably arent going to be in the pros. But there are a few they show better, like if they were on a dominating running team, may not have the stats. I think WRs are a crapshoot anyways, 12 picked in the second round last year and only two were productive. Although some may show up this year or next as a better player.
  11. Ill pick for Pix since he suggested it and it will help move things along. With the Browns next pick Bernie Wells/RB/OSU (Ohio guy and probably the best RB in the draft to replace Lewis after this year) the next pick belongs to Jason
  12. I feel if a high rated one drops to us at 49 we will take one there, otherwise we go with FS or DE since they need to fix the defense to be successful. So depending on who is there at 3 or 4 will take one there instead. Maybe with one of our 2-5th round picks will grab another one. I also feel they think after the draft will pick up a FA after maybe a few more are cut, so only feel the need to draft one.
  13. Im off work with a new knee so I have alot of free time on my hands, so I can pick for anybody needing me to pick for them. Also am well informed on the draft. So I will pick Lions pick with the 33 pick----------- Alphonso Smith/CB/Wake Forest (They need more beef on the OL but the best player available will play RT and no OGs are worth this pick, so they go with the best CB avaiable)
  14. I dont think they will be reaching for any players. They will take the highest reated player on there board that are a FS,DE, or WR. I think that pick will be a suprize to us because someone rated as a 1st round pick will drop to us at that point. Let us say Havin/WR or Johnson/DE or Hood/DT. I think they think the way to win is to redo the defense and that will be there proirity early, unless a high rated WR drops to us. Pressure on the QB and a solid FS are highest on there list and fit the WR somewhere in the first 3 picks.
  15. I think the Bears have a couple WRs to pick at that spot and if they arent there, will go a different direction with the pick. I think if they get there guy they will pick up another body after the draft in FAency but if they have to draft less of a prospect in a later round will go after one of the few top type Wrs in FAgency.
  16. I think we might have an interest for him but not at 2. Probably a 3rd or 4th pick. He may or may not be there then. I have a feeling we will be surprized by the Bears 2nd round pick. Like a 1st rounder dropping down that low and cant pass him up.
  17. Actually I think Robiskie gets drafted ahead of Britt and Nicks. If one of them drop to our spot, I would suppose we would take them. If Harivn drops to us in the second, do we take him?
  18. I dont know if he will be any good but I do know none of you know either. If we draft him, I hope he does well and some of our opinions were just wrong.
  19. I think your right on with one of the 3 WRs dropping to that point, I think Robiskie will be the first of those three off the board. Instead of McBath, insert Clemons/FS/Clemson. Brad Briggs gave a heads up of a great interest that the Bears have. Also I see us drafting a OLB with the 4th or one of the 5th round picks. I think they want to upgrade S LB position.
  20. Since the Titans really would have perfered Nicks, but has to settle for a boom or bust playmaker like Harvin/WR/Florida
  21. I didnt fall out of my chair laughing, but did find it humorous.
  22. I will sight PFW rating of players as an example because they do it for a living instead of a hobby as most mock drafts and information sites do. They rate Delmars/FS as the 37th rated player and Duke is the 51st highest rated player. I would consider FS as more of a need right now than a OG. We have acquired Omilaye and have Buening from last year that are still young and will win the OG jobs. So taking Duke would be nice, but the Bears are not going with a guard or tackle with the 49th spot. If they were rebuilding Duke would be a good pick but after getting Cutler it is going to be about right now, not 3 years from now. By the way Inglesias is the 87th rated player and wouldnt take him at that spot anyways.
  23. By the players available , I would take 2nd-Delmars/FS 3rd-Follett/OLB-Cal 4th-Lewis/OT-TS 5th/a-Melton/DE-Texas 5th/b-Collie/WR-BYU Actually Massaqoui is still there at 3 and draft Williams/OLB at 4 as another option with grabbing Parrish/OT in the 5th.
