  1. I think with more O weapons he could be very creative, just hasnt had the opputunity with our team. Good QB, better options, more offensive. I was impressed with him with the fact we got to the Super Bowl a couple of years ago with only one good offensive player, Jones/RB. I know the defense was the key to that year, but still have to have some contributions from an offense to get there.
  2. You actually with your draft breakdown, have picked the best available player at a position we have as a need. According to PFWs big board Delmars is the 37th ranked player, Bryd/FS/Oregon is 47th, and Johnson/FS/Ala is 48th. with the second pick Thomas/WR/ASU is 69th, Ogletree/WR/Vir is 95th, and Collie/WR/BYU is 96th. With the third pick Cadogan/OT/PSU is ranked 78th. You would get great draft valve with Delmas, Thomas, Cadogan and later draft a bigger WR to help. Melton/DE/Texas would possible be avaiable with our first 5th round pick and is ranked the 117th ranked player. Those first 4 picks would address needs and have valve.
  3. This is going slower than expected, but would like to carry it to see who would be available at the Bears pick. We have plenty of time before the draft so at least do the second round.
  4. I only refered to the high horse statement of telling somebody they dont know what there talking about. Depending on what you read you gain lots of different information. I agree with most of your statements. Draft Tek has Martin as the 5th best FS and 84th overall player. PFW doent have him listed in the top ten FSs, or among there 150 best players. GBN has him as the the 5th best FS and the 100th best player. Mass and Martin are both reachs at that point of the draft. IMO I think we should take the highest rated player on the board and hope to hell he is a FS or WR or maybe a DE. Or close to there supposed slot.
  5. I wouldnt say your a expert on all of this, as for people that do it for a living cant get it right. We all have opinions and unfortunately it would take a couple of years to prove any of us right. I am not pushing for Mass but there are a few that think he will be a 2nd rounder. PFW has him as the 7th WR and the 49th best player off the big board. I am not saying they are smarter than you but they definitly have more information to go by there predictions than you do. They say the 2 most difficult things for a rookie WR to adjust to is the physicalness of the NFL and the mental adjustment of the game. He may very well be able to handle that, who knows. I do know you and I dont. So the point is get off your high horse, unless your job is a pro scout then I will shut up.
  6. I considered Massoquai a reach in the 3rd round but several informed people have him going in the 2nd round now, so he may no longer be considered a reach there. I want RJ from Bama also, but think he may not be there. Kiper is not at the top of my look for insight lists.
  7. I think they probably have a better perception of who can play where. I think tackle spots are more similiar than going from tackle to guard. Although if you a good player you should be able to play anywhere on the line except center.
  8. I would see us taking a DE with the 4th round, if any left we have rated high on our board instead of CB, but maybe that is a value pick.
  9. I could have an orgasm if we actually got that draft. The only thing i would do different is draft Melton/DE/Texas instead of Veikune. We have interest in him and will fall around the same slot. He is a converted RB that has excellent speed and great upside. Also bigger that Veikune. Also I think Follett would upgrade a position and will turn out to be a long time starter for us. I have read alot about him and it all sounds good.
  10. Its hard to say who will be good and will take time to be good, or fail. Its a crap shoot, who ever we draft hopefully he will turn out productive. Out of 12 2nd round picks last year only two did real well, so we will see.
  11. The next guy picking has been in the blog since I picked, and hasnt been paying attention, so just pick for him, thats why the mock has slowed down, some aint paying attention.
  12. What did you have to say when we picked up Rueben Brown, he was old and past his prime and probably our best Olineman while he was here. If he plays at 90% he is still probably better than anyone on the team right now. I still hope we draft a OT in the early rounds on the second day but it aint happening with the 2nd round pick. Your exactly right about drafting people and developing them, but everything has changed since we lost our 1st round pick. You got to get off that OL song and dance for this year anyways.
  13. I dont see us drafting a CB till the later rounds, and also they are high on Melton/DE-Texas so he will go about the same spot as Martin so see him there instead of Martin. Otherwise the draft looks good. Some have Mossaqoui not rated high but a few smart football people have him as a top 10 receiver. I think we like him so that pick is very possible. Some thinks he sucks on this blog, but Im not sure they are all that smart, but know Im not either, we just have opinions.
  14. I dont think Leftwich will want to come here. If he has to settle for a backup, he gets more Super Bowl checks if he resigns with Steelers. As of now a better place to be a backup than here.
  15. you just named the only two receivers last year that made contributions. There was 12 drafted in the second round last year. Avery from the Rams had a little sucess.
  16. Rookies rarely make a impact in there first couple of years, so we draft one and bring in a FA such as Holt and see what happens.
  17. Peria Jerry/DT- Miss is the selection of the Bucs
  18. Broncos pick--------------Jackson/DE-LSU
  19. Stinger226

    Tate?

He was rated at the top of the list of WRs till he tore his knee up. Suppose to be ok, but wont be ready till june. Probably goes in the 3rd or 4th round.
  20. SD Chargers select Oher OT from Miss with the 16th pick. The New York Jets (Drunkbomber) are now on the clock........
  21. this may not be all that realistic on the real draft, but we just inject our opinions that allows it to take on its own personality which makes it fun.
  22. My take is simple, after the draft if we filled in the right pieces and also drafted a WR, take a chance and bring him in to give us a ticket to the SB. If he fails cut him and move forward. He is only a cancer if you allow him to be a cancer. Also if were throwing stones theres players on this team that havent lived up to a upstanding citizens profile so start condemning them. Oh but there already here so thats ok.
  23. We need to add one in FA and one in the draft. Rookies rarely contribute from the WR position but we have to have one to develope for the future. Duke wont be there, and I dont think they deem that a great need at this point.
  24. We have to address WR with one of our first two picks, and it is as simple as that.
  25. With a very good receiver we could be really good and it would be worth taking a chance on him. I would rather have him than TO
