    Combine..

    Wow, thanks for sharing!
  2. I think you are thinking of Cedric Benson, but I follow your logic.
  3. I swing both ways when considering trade downs and extra picks, my worry being that we don’t get the big impact players. Definitely going to be interesting to see what the team does
  4. Haha, yes some would say that. I think JF would have benefited from sitting, there are a lot of examples of guys who got to learn before being thrown to the wolves. Stroud did well though…
  5. I really hope they let him sit. It would have been better if they had let Fields sit for the first year, the fans contributed to pressure the original plan into change.
  6. Agreed. Pick the best possible QB from a packed set of options. Reap the benefits of reduced pay for this quarterback for a few years.
  7. A view from a former player suggesting keeping JF. I thought a well written article. Don’t agree but reasonable logic. https://apple.news/AqKdP53BSRuurRh0Qn3-4SQ
  8. Interesting thoughts from a former player: https://apple.news/Apf79tJgGQIG_ejvQG9dO9w
  9. This story gives a decent overview of Williams: https://apple.news/AZQjDEFyBS2-IS3CJSmPRvQ
  10. That’s interesting, but the “bottom 5” idea was the commentators opinion, not a fact. There was no mention of the pressure issue, I assume you are saying that is your opinion? In my opinion, the line wasn’t great but it wasn’t horrible either, and the reason for most of JF’s issues were his poor decision making.
  11. The cherry picking of stats, and bending them to prove particular points, is fairly commonplace on this site by some. It’s laughable and very easy to distinguish. From what I read, what I said is true. The Hoge views are the exception rather than the rule.
  12. Interesting thoughts. Has anyone ever had success after first three years of stats equivalent to JF? You can blame the line, coaching, lack of weapons, weather, black magic or any other excuse but the bottom line is the guy sucked. One can always find a statistic or opinion to suit their narrative, but consensus is that Williams is special and a generational player . How many more chances will we have to get a player like that?
  13. I agree, and I am really hoping he gets it right. I have much more faith in him than previous guys for sure. It’s a very exciting time for the team.
  14. I get bored with replying to you, I would have thought you might start to pay attention to the several people who have commented about your silliness but you just keep on beating that dead horse. If this site had an ignore button, I would have pushed it months ago. Your arrogance is only bettered by your ignorance.

    Super Bowl

I saw that and it sure didn’t look good to me, but then who cares what I think? If Andy Reid is ok with it, then that’s the end of the story for me. On NFL UK on Facebook, the number of rants about that and other idiocy, such as Taylor Swift and the halftime show, is shocking to me. Who cares?
  16. Not everyone shares the idea that there is nothing to discuss if a decision has been made. Your fanboy views of Fields are very clear, and are expressed directly or indirectly constantly. Ad nauseum.
  17. So why should anything be discussed here? After all, Poles is going to pick the draft choices he wants, the coaches he wants etc. I guess that means there is no need for you to keep bleating on about Fields right?

    Super Bowl

Let’s not interrupt the JF cheerleader!
  19. Were the Bears offensive lines so bad that JF’s performance could be blamed on them for the last three years? Would a great quarterback really have been as bad as JF the last three years? I tend to think that the line didn’t help, but the bulk of the responsibility for JF’s play is on him. The good/great quarterbacks find a way to succeed.
  20. Repeating the same view again and again, often nonsensically, is pushing. Pushing equals pressure.
  21. That’s rich coming from you, you push your narrative until it snaps from too much pressure.
  22. Exactly. Everything I am reading says the rest of the league are assuming the Bears are moving on from Fields. I have also seen some players, eg Alex Brown, advocating moving on from Fields.
  23. Both comments made me shiver, the McCaskey comments more though as my biggest fear is that family will keep the Bears from ever being great.
  24. You know what? If Poles thinks Williams is on par with Mahomes, you think he will pass on him? No way
