I'm getting ready to break down & buy a TV & I'm kind of stressed on what to buy. I've read what the experts say, but I'd appreciate anytihing you guys have to offer from a first-hand experience. I've narrowed my choices down to these 2 (both from Wal Mart. I've had enough of this " sport". It's inhumane to run these horses to death for the benefit of gambling. These horses are all hopped up on drugs, horse owners are recklessly over-breeding these horses and thousands are slaughtered senseless as a byproduct of this industry. This coming from someone who used to love the track. I event spent two summers working at Arlington in high school. But even back then I saw signs that this wasn't something I wanted to be a part of. Bought a HD TV little over a year ago and never got around to subscribing to HD programming and buying proper cables for it. I know, waste of time, but hey, I procratinate all the time. If I had only knew what I was missing I would have been a bit more proactive. The technician just finished the job, got Dish network HD package including NFL Network, ESPN channels, and Big 10 channels (along with many others) all in HD. Watching the replay of the Bears Cleveland game as I type. What a difference. I swear I can see every blade of grass on the field, LOL.

I'm gonna spend five days in Chicago during this and next week and need some help on what to do. Most important: I need to find myself a good sports bar for the Bears game Sunday! I'll be staying downtown close to the Millenium Park. Any recommendations? Best way to get downtown from the airport? Taxi or are there any kind of bus or train? I will be buying jerseys! Anyone else digging the new Metallica album? This is everything St. Anger was supposed to be which failed miserably. I think of Anger as the potential good album that never was. Finally Metallica is sounding like their old selves again. Just wondered if there were any other fans on this site. I told Mad Lith some time back that I would write this so here up to this point is what I have. I have been a resident of Wasilla (the town she was Mayor of) for about 3 years now. All told I have lived up here for just over 30 years. I lived in Anchorage for awhile but when my wife and I went to buy a house things were too expensive so we looked to the "Valley" as an alternative. Wasilla is in that area and is and was growing. See my reason above for why that is. Wasilla does provide more of the large box stores and other well known commercial shopping alternatives so you don't have to drive into Anchorage as much.
