That's easily the busiest time of year for this site. I do wonder if there will be the same excitement since the Bear's don't have a #1 pick. The draft starts at 2:00, which means we should make our first pick by 7:00 or something like that? As usual, I'm taking an "Al Bundy Vacation," which means I'll be roping off the area around the TV, and the wife & kid have to pretend I'm not there. I'm looking forward to the chat room.

Now I wont say we are a bad team but I want to point out this. We can NOT win games kicking field goal!!!!!! Once again we had too many opportunities in the red zone just to come away with just three points. Despite the other teams score....if we cashed in on our chances in the red zone I feel this 0-2 start we are now in would be 2-0. Now the other problem I see is that our DB are not being coached to win. We have gotten way to many pass interference calls to succeed. Ball and Fuller need to be taught how to turn and look for the ball. Against the Packers they could have had two ints and the same against the Cards. There's mention that SF isn't interested in Briggs. I figure it to be a smokescreen since they will get their hands slapped by the NFL soon I imagine. Once again, the board is active with draft buzz. I went back and read many of last years posts to get a laugh or felt impressed with some early insight. Early on was doubling up on ILBs, DBs, and linemen. A lot of talk about staying BPA also. Once we got closer to April, some were shocked to see QBs projected to go top 2 as it was thought the class beared no first rounders. All bad news must come to an end and it finally did as of about 5 minutes ago. My wife and I just found out today that she is pregnant with our 2nd child. The doctors believe its fairly early within the past couple of weeks(still celebrating the fact that we got Cutler I believe) We will be going in in a couple of weeks to have an ultrasound done.

Now that we've all thanked Forte for his many contributions to the Bears for the last 8 years it's time to figure out who we are adding to the roster at RB. There is no way a RB focused coach like Fox is heading into the season with Langford and Carey as certain #1/2 on the roster, and with no clear 3rd option. I don't think there is much love for S. Perry among the coaches. I've seen no signs they are very interested in re-signing Jacquizz Rodgers, although he might be offered another 1 yr deal later in FA. While they will be looking for Langford to assume that #1 role I can't see Pace or Fox just handing it to him. There will be some competition for the job…

Didn't wanna take away from the other thread so I'll start a new one. I'm cap illiterate so I was trying to figure out how much the bears would save if they cut him next year.... I read this on roto So to me that sounds like the bears save nearly 14 mill by cutting him while only being on the hook for a little over 4M right?

Say what you will, but not bringing back Lance, trading Marshall...all seems to spell out that they are cleaning house. I fully expect no Tillman. I also now expect Cutler to be traded. There's no certainty...but damn the evidence is pointing to fire sale. Heck, they could even deal Forte at this point too. I'm all in. I get what they are doing. If Pace & Fox are thinking this is what's best, then I'm OK with it. Fox is loaded with experiences staff members and I'm sure their input is used. Bear down. I'm excited!

Lovie needs to sit some players at the start of a game for a couple of series or a half. Omaliye,Forte,Harris for example. Lovie is their coach first, not friend first, who cares what they think.You cannot tell me Vasher did not want to prove something after being benched, and he did with a little luck but I know he was pumped when he was sent in. Lions 3-4-1, Bears 3-5, this game will more than likely decide who finishes last in the division. An important factor is next year's schedule. The last place team will get ARZ and WAS, while the 3rd place team will get LAR and NYG, actually a pretty big difference. Stafford is supposedly a game-time decision.
