#1 - It looked like Clark gave an inside juke when Cutler was rolling out, so Cutler threw it to lead for THAT route. Oops. Clark went the other way. #2 - That's just a great play by a packer DL. #3 - It looked like the WR (who?) gave an inside juke when Cutler was rolling out, so Cutler threw it to lead for THAT route. Oops. Clark went the other way. #4 - Forced throw by Cutler. He was trying to win the game by himself, and he shouldn't have thrown it. So, I'd say that's 2/4. Sure, we could take away the second INT because it was simply an unreal play by the defensive player, but we could also give Cutler one or two that the Packers dropped. Not a g…

I had nothing better to do today, so I took the time to do a breakdown of every offensive snap. While we tend to look at things like time to throw, running lanes and play calling, I tried to focus on why. What I found was 44 mistakes that could stand to be cleaned up. There are always going to be mistakes that lead to failed execution, but 44 is way too many when you run 61 offensive plays. Here's the tally for miscues. QB=14, HC=2, TE=6, RB=4 and OL=18 Going try to copy my play by play sheet, but it may be ugly. Play # Actual Play Comments Play 1 Run off LT Adequate block on edge…

Just heard by Chris Mortenson during the Steelers game that Micheal Vick just signed a 2 year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. What do think is going through the mind of Donovan McNabb? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4397938

  7. I'm hearing that Williams' house was raided after the week 1 game, and that today authorities raided Halas Hall as well in connection to Williams. I'm also hearing that Eberflus cried when he heard what the charges were. Only a few things fit. All are ugly. This isn't good at all. In a football sense it probably won't hurt us much. But it's gonna be a big scandal it seems.

There are two guys that stand out for me when you consider their draft status and or contract vs performance this year. So far on offense, that is Monangai who has 731 Rush Yards, only 97 fewer rushing yards than Jeanty, but with 69 fewer carries. He also has 140 receiving yards on 14 receptions. With 871 Yards from Scrimmage, he only needs 129 total yards to hit 1K with 2 games left. For a 7th Rounder, that is some crazy production. The Bears are 7-1 when Mongagai gets at least 12 touches, and 4-3 when he doesn't. Feed him! On defense, it is Nahshon Wright. 5 INTs and 2 FF, 1 TD, and 11 PD. The Bears are 6-1 when he forces a turnover, and the only loss was the…

With all the new bodies on the club, I am curious who everybody thinks will have a breakout year that was already on the team. My choice will be Cris Williams-We are in dire need of a new return man and I think he carries that torch. He has speed to burn, he will also contribute at WR as our 5th wideout. With all the new players, he will find a place to succeed.

  12. Evidently Albert Breer was reporting today that the Bears have been in touch with Ngakoue's reps recently. I have to imagine he is there plan B - depending on how things shake out. I don't know how much he has left - but got to imagine Bears could get him between 5-7M for 1YR. He has flaws - but not bad from a depth perspective and you don't feel bad if other guys play their way into his role (in fact you prefer it). I presume he would be the passing down end - and it would allow you to slide Walker inside on those plays.

This is total speculation on my part, and i just read this while looking at fantasy football on yahoo. I'm not sure what other TE's are on the trading block or in FA, that would warrant restructuring Bree's contract. Is it possible they are close to a trade for Bennett? We know Pace's Ties to the Saints.

#Bears considering Brendan Daly for D-line job. Was position coach for #Vikings last 2 years, #Rams before that. He's always been a 4-3 guy so that could be telling. Here's a good read on who he is as a coach... http://m.startribune.com/sports/?id=166055156 I like the sound of him.

So let's say you have heard that the Packers don't want Brett Farve back because he has retired and the Packers have moved on to Mr.Rodgers neighborhood. Would you as the GM for the Bears make a move for him if he still wants to play and the Packers cut him?
