R Williams is a player that interests me, he was a highly touted prospect that hasn't flourished. Maybe it had something to do w/ JAX. But when it comes to a complimentory WR to fit our other WR's, I think Williams can bring that Larry Fitzgerald type. Last night shows just how important a good coaching staff really is. The Bears last year lost to GB 38-17 and 55-14. This year the Bears lost 31-23 and won 17-13. You cant say the Bears are more talented this year, they still have glaring needs on the Defensive side of the ball, the Oline is not preforming well. What has changed, there are some new faces, rookies playing well, Cutler has played really well but the biggest change is the Coaching. Cutlers play can be credited to great coaching as well, not that Cutler didnt clearly change some things to turn it around the way he has. Here is a mock draft at TheFootballExpert.com that has us taking Sam Baker, OT, USC in the first and James Hardy, WR, Indiana in round 2. I like this better than the many drafts having us picking QB round 1. The 2nd one from the same site TheFootballExpert.com has us selecting OT Ryan Clady round 1 and QB Chad Henne from Michigan round 2. There are 2 other 1 round drafts on the site by 2 different authors, one having us taking Baker round 1, the other Clady round 1. I am beginning to like this site!! OLTs in round 1, now that is what I wanted to see!!

Any pick, any round, what would make you mad, either if the Bears picked them or passed on them (assuming they are available)? At this point, if Donald, Pryor, or Clinton-Dix are there at #14 and the Bears don't take one of them I will be mad. I would reserve the right to be retroactively OK with it depending on the pick (Dennard, Gilbert, or Mosely) how the rest of the draft shakes out, but in the moment, I would not be happy.

Last year the offense was below average and the defense was horrible. Going into the draft it seems that anything right now is possible. I'm seeing DB, WR, DE, LB, S, everything possible. Since they're switching to a 3-4, it's difficult to know what any of the guys on the roster can/will do. -The number of potential OLB/ILB combos is borderline obscene. -I happen to think the front three will be figured out between Houston, Ferguson, Ratliff, Sutton, and Allen, especially since Ratliff has been specifically mentioned as being important in plans. -Still need plenty of defensive backfield help. Jaws, Trico, Cornd$ck showed nothing but love to the Vikings the whole game, they talked like the Vikings were some great team which clearly they are not. To bad the coaching staff didnt put 8 in the box the first time around. Flase starts, our line is old and beat up but with age you would think comes wisdom and stupid false starts should not be a reaccuring theme. The Fred Miller penalty was uncalled for. I don't think we win this one, but I don't think we lose by 14. Trap game for Philly looking ahead to SEA. Mid 40's for game time temperature....Bear weather. Philly is #1 against the run, but that may be due to their early leads. Overall defenses are comparable in overall yards, but Philly has a bunch more INTs and PD's. Again, this may be due to their leads and teams needing to pass more against them. If our offense takes another step forward and our defense doesn't lay an egg, we will at least look competitive. Lovie needs to sit some players at the start of a game for a couple of series or a half. Omaliye,Forte,Harris for example. Lovie is their coach first, not friend first, who cares what they think.You cannot tell me Vasher did not want to prove something after being benched, and he did with a little luck but I know he was pumped when he was sent in. It lights a fire under the substitute and the player being sat,when he returnes, believe that. I want Lovie to get more fierce, like we do when we watch the game and get a little heated.
