The whole story about Long being a reach is starting to get to me. He was the 3rd rated OG in most of everyones eyes but the preceding pick the 6th rated OT is not a reach. So as I continue to look at this from a Bear fan's perspective, here is what I see: 1st pick comes from a Mid Major conference what was his level of comp. 3rd pick Former TE on defense for only 2yrs rarely played with hand in the dirt and this was a trade up. 4th pick Former Juco QB,TE and DE and 2 yr OL 5th pick Enetered school as track athlete,tried basketball first,zero starts before senior year 13 games as Senior 4.5 sacks. 6th picks 4.5 sacks and drafted as an edge rusher 7…

I know there h 've been concerns with our Dline but Conte and Wright are useless.

Bears win 27-17 and extend the false hope another week. In reality, I would just like to see a well executed game, even if it is against the Rams.

So many of us have expressed dissatisfaction with Lovie and Co,. wondering on thoughts about next year for Lovie and staff. I was talking to my dad last night and it led me to feel that maybe it would be best to keep him on, he has been a good figure for Chicago and with the help of Emery in the future maybe he will have the players to take us to the big game. I say this with some trepidation as I am not a fan of his Defensive philosophy but overall he seems to do a good job... What do the experts think?

Rapaport is reporting that the Bears are interested in Mike Glennon. Probably won't be popular, but I have zero problem with this. You can still draft a QB in the 3-5 range(I'm falling for Peterman personally) and groom him a couple years. If Glennon grasps his potential then you can possibly put yourself in the position to trade him assuming your mid round draft pick pans out. Continue to build a young strong defense early in the draft. I want Adams and Conley in the 1st 2 rounds.

It's game day. I would like to see Fields and the offensive starters play at least 2 series and hopefully score on at least one. I want to see Fields getting the ball out quick with timing. Main players I will be watching besides Fields: Wright and Claypool on offense. The entire D-Line and Gordon on defense. The media is going to be so polarizing after this one. If Fields looks good as a passer, look out MVP. If he looks bad, he is a bust. There is no in between.

I am in a little disbelief that you guys are giving Orton another free pass and essentially crowning him our starter for years to come. Yes, he had a good first few games, but ever since his injury he has been very poor. He is incapable of throwing a deep ball. We cant stretch the field with him. Teams next year will simply play the saftey closer to the line and completely shut off his strength being the show passing game. You cant teach arm strength. He doesnt have "it", never will. Peanut was on the SCORE tonight at 8 pm. Some highlights: - Had a Flag Football challenge for charity last week. Evidentally, Rod Wilson was a all american QB in high school and tore it up on the field. - Was very happy with his play last yr. Felt he dropped some easy picks, however, and this kept him from making the pro-bowl. - Felt that rookie salaries may be unfair in that they get money based on their play in college. If we change coaches and, thus, defensive schemes, does Urlacher come back? He was perfect for Lovie's cover 2 but does he fit a 3-4 scheme? Emery has no long-term tie to Urlacher and should bring in players that fit the scheme best. I know we all love Urlacher and want him to retire a Bear but the reality is that is a decision we are making is based on emotion. We need to be prepared for the very realistic chance he will not be back with the Bears. Peace
