http://thefootballexpert.com/bures2008nflmockdraft3.html 1st - Much as i hate lineman, i wouldnt mind Williams, since it seems to be the consensus. I would hate to be there at 14 (if he's even there) and see the hometown RB sitting there for us, but also, i have a feeling someone may offer even more picks to get up in front of detroit to get him. 2nd - Much rather have chris johnson or possibly charles in the 2nd over Felix Jones. All three are basically the same size and jones wasnt a starter and is the slowest. also, am really starting to like Kevin Smith, ran a 4.43 or 4.47 at his pro day and you can't deny his production. Most of all i seriously cant stand B…

  3. Sports Illustrated: The Bears did not draft a receiver, and their depth chart at the position is a hodgepodge of options—Cameron Meredith, undrafted in 2015, actually led the team in receiving last year. There is an opportunity, then, for Gentry, a 6' 1", 200-pounder with sticky hands. He produced 1,300-plus yards and 14 TDs last season. PFF: Following the draft, the Bears signed former Wyoming WR Tanner Gentry as an undrafted free agent. In 2016, he graded as the 13th-best WR in the class (minimum 600 snaps). Gentry was the most active deep threat in college football last year. He had 49 deep passing targets (3.5 targets per game) and caught 22 of them, both top…

K, can we start using this guy more? What was the point of bringing him here if you're not going to use him? Nah, lets give more carries to our FB.

According to NFL Network's Adam Schefter, DT Albert Haynesworth will not re-sign with the Titans before testing the free agent market. Haynesworth obviously wasn't satisfied with the progress of contract talks, and this news significantly decreases the odds that he will return to the Titans. Perhaps the most disruptive defense player in the NFL the past two seasons, Haynesworth is sure to draw a monster contract on the open market. The Titans would have to match the highest offer now that their exclusive negotiating window is closed

Per rotoworld.com Jacob Bell has signed with St. Louis. I really am starting to doubt Angelo's strategy this off-season. We can't fill every need in this years draft he is going to have to sign someone, isn't he?

  12. Nice pick by Emery, surprised he fell that far. Some nice competition and depth at LB this year, and we just got a lot younger and faster.

Based on this article it seems Howard is going to fit in well for us and it seems he has a more diverse skillset (i.e. route running) than what was seen in games. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0510-story.html

  14. I just read camp notes out on the Suntimes web site. And the sentence that got me was something like "anytime that the Bears want to rip out the pages that relate to the screen pass is fine by me" -Brad Biggs. Why do the Bears struggle with a screen pass??? They have struggled for as lon as I can remember??

With one agency representing 5 of the 7 unsigned top 10 draftees, including Roquan Smith, this situation won't end quickly. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/07/05/offsets-re-emerge-as-a-top-10-contract-issue/ The Bears gave Trubisky everything last year so where will they draw the line this year? "The only other player in the top 10 from 2017 to get anything close to that was Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who had the offset language removed from his guaranteed training-camp roster bonuses."

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...?urn=nfl,104485 Fri Aug 29, 2008 2:56 pm EDT Love/Hate: Chicago Bears By MJD As we continue gathering steam towards the regular season, Shutdown Corner touches on all 32 teams, outlining reasons to love and/or hate them. Today, the Chicago Bears. Love the Bears: This team could set records. Since adopting a 16-game schedule, the record for fewest points scored in a season is held by the 1992 Seahawks with 140, averaging 8.75 points per game. This Bears team could give chase. Let's break it down. At quarterback, we're likely to see both Rex Grossman and Kyle Orton, who I think could accurately b…

Another week gone by and another wasted opportunity to fire Harry. The Oline was horrible to start the game. The Browns were clearly mixing up the pass rush but still we need better from this group. Some running lanes were opened later in the game but pass protection was rarely seen. RB: I'm getting tired of Forte dancing around at the LOS. On at least one play late in the game Forte completely blew his pass protection assignment and got Cutler leveled. On one of his goal line runs he stayed up high and got stopped for no gain when he could have lowered his pads and gained at least 1/2 yard or more. Isn't this fundamental RB stuff? Just how bad does Fort…

This dude threw for 159 TDs and 16,958 yards in college. Regardless of the school and competition, that is a TON of live reps. No wonder he looks so comfortable in the pocket. Fields has all the tools needed to be a franchise QB, he just needs the live reps. The one thing I notice about Fields, and maybe I am wrong, but it almost looks like he tries to be too calm in the pocket, almost like a forced calmness that slows him down too much. It seems deliberate, like he doesn't care about the rush barreling down on him. It doesn't seem to be slow recognition, but more like slow execution. Trust your eyes and let it rip. Am I crazy? Also, I am totally fin…
